Hue, Casterly's comments sound so sarcastic.

And yea, I think I'll have Arara be a little more antagonistic towards faunus (in her mind) in the beginning. Though yeah, thought it was a good question to ask: if Faunus weren't mentioned in the Creation Myth of Remnant, what exactly are they?
Vanilla.

That was how Arara Sakanade chose to describe the trip towards Beacon Academy onboard that airship. It was simply, utterly, irrevocably vanilla. A bland, sweet flavor that all commoners enjoyed. Though she wasn't nearly as prideful as some others that she had met, it still felt like the trip was lacking in anything enjoyable or challenging, anything to weed out the weaklings before they even reached the school. For the supposed 'jewel of Vytal', it was a surprisingly unimpressive place. Back in her old school, they had to wake up at 6AM every day just to hike up the mountain that their school was located on, to strengthen their body and sharpen their minds.

And then you had these kids, who were arguing over exam results and naively chatting about random, pointless topics. Such as 'dude, that girl's so damn hot', or 'wow, just like a doll', or 'when were shrine maidens warriors', or 'does her weapon even have a cartridge system?'. Annoying, back-talking questions like that, instead of something more constructive like talking about what they weedled out of past students in Beacon on what to expect for the first term.

Such irrelevant topics made it rather hard for Arara to meditate, after all, to steel her mind towards whatever may happen in the entrance ceremony. She heard last year that the auditorium roof collapsed (probably due to shoddy Beacon engineering) and a student was killed in that event (most likely due to incompetent Beacon nursing staff). Honestly, why did her older brother choose to go to a place like 'that'? Though she hadn't seen him for a few years, the raven-haired girl was s..till confident that he was stronger than her. Why didn't he choose a school that was better for him than Beacon?

No...

As the beast-like scent of those mangy-as-hell furred freaks wafted into her sensitive nostrils, Arara swocled, standing up and relocating to another location, this time meditation by standing the Heavenwrath onto the ground and balancing herself on the blunt end.

...why on earth would Cororo go to a school reputed for having the highest concentration of those unsophisticated half-humans who were only good at terrorism and manual labor?

It was putting her into a bad mood, after all, after to share the same enclosed space with these freaks of nature. The Creation Myth never mentioned faunus, so what the hell was the origin of those things anyways?
Yah for half asleep ramblings....
Today was an odd day it seemed, for today, Mearii was yawning out of a lethargic exhaustion that frankly did not make any sense. After all, she was still technically a youkai. Why would something that doesn't even truly have a physical body have the capability of being tired? It was the same logic that made vampires nocturnal beasts who only slept during the day due to a dislike of sunshine, or ghosts who wandered around regardless of time. Was this a sign that she was slowly becoming more human, as her changed diet began to change herself? Or was it simply because the dark-haired gumiho was running short on mana again?

It was tiresome to think of, and it was ultimately something that she decided would not bother with that day. After all, today was a work day, after a small dry spell from the last assignment from that chain-smoking magi and her eccentric crew of part-timers and weirdos.

Taking in a breath of the slightly humid air, she recalled the weather forecast as she walked through the streets. That falsely cheerful anchorwoman had promised 'cloudy with a 30% chance of light showers' that day, and the gumiho briefly wondered whether the dark jacket that hung over her shoulders would be enough to keep her from getting wet. Hot showers were alright, but cold showers reminded her too much of those uncivilized days. Hitching up her hood over her head, more as a precaution than anything else, Mearii patted her side, and then yawned once more.

She was back at her temporary residence.

Having no identification, sadly, made it impossible to legally obtain housing, so she simply slept in that cigarette-filled place under the pretext of staying overnight to review cases. Ah, someone like her could probably get some shelter through shadier realtors, but it wasn't like it would be an improvement, regardless. At least the water was clean here.

Stepping through the door and murmuring a 'tadaima' to no one in particular, Mearii spotted Jun first, and sighed. The kid was here. No, the kid was allowed to be here, and thus, that meant that it wasn't a dangerous case this time. No food, unless the nature of the case changed to something darker. She scratched behind her ear and then felt her stomach. Though it was full from that katsudon she was treated to earlier on, it still felt empty.

Low mana reserves was never something fun to deal with, after all.

Finding a seat and unceremoniously plopping down onto it, legs spread apart in a comfortable, if unladylike manner, Mearii eyed the cat for a moment. If one was what they ate, Hirako should taste like fish. But she didn't like fish, and the bakaneko was pretty small regardless. Glancing up at the boss-lady, the girl asked, in that dead-serious tone that was the only voice she ever used, “Bright Child, planning to explain, or are there still more people we're waiting for?”

There were lots of people, but if Jun's here, it shouldn't concern death and gore. So a large-scale hunt for something? A child spirited away, perhaps? As Mearii began to speculate absent-mindedly, she stroked her thigh. Normally, she'd be toying with her Glock, but for someone who loved to slowly poison the lungs of nine year olds, Toshiko was sure against letting Jun even SEE a gun.
Oh yeah, for confirmation, did the Siege of Beacon Tower happen before or after Cororo joined Beacon? And does that mean Jack's dead?
Seeing how I was part of the past two RWBY RPs, is it still necessary for me to do a Post Sample?

Name/Nickname: Arara Sakanade
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 16, because she started school early.
Weapons/Equipment/Armor

The Dragon Lance, Heavenwrath
– A weapon as old as the Sakanade family itself, it stands out amongst the other weapons as being one that is autonomous, that is, Heavenwrath is a weapon that can fight by itself, as long as Aura is channeled into it. With the 'core' of this ability lying in the floating orb that's nestled at the back of the curved blade, it is a weapon that can fly of its own accord, striking down the enemies of its master at a long distance. Outside that feature, it's just a regular, if nigh-indestructible spear.
White Rakshasa – Special combat robes weaved by Sakanade Textiles Incorporated, White Rakshasa is woven with a mixture of carbon nanotube fiber and silk, giving it an elegant look, yet keeping it extremely effective at dealing with bullets and heavy impacts. Though its defensive capabilities aren't quite as extensive as some of the other armors crafted by Sakanade Textiles, White Rakshasa is unique in that one can actually wear it casually. It's highly valued amongst infamous nobles and rich gangsters alike, especially the tuxedo variations.

Semblance
Right of the Dragon Empress – Arara's Semblance is something that, interestingly enough, is an inherited Semblance, granted by her heritage. A unique ability was been popping up less and less as the Sakanade bloodline is diluted with the genetics of others, Right of the Dragon Empress is a passive semblance that allows Arara to slowly drain away the Aura of all others nearby, not enough to severly impede the recovery of their own Aura, but enough that it would massively increase the amount of power that she can draw out herself. A semblance that can not be stopped, negated, or targetted, it hurts both living allies and enemies alike, yet to a barely noticeable degree. It could be said that, in a forest or a densely populated city, it is impossible for Arara to run out of Aura. And from that comes a certain epitaph decorating the first possessor of the Right of the Dragon Empress.
“The earth's rage was drawn to her authority,
Roaring, dictated by imperial wrath.”

Hobbies: Watching Martial Arts movies exported into Vale, Brewing Tea...but only for the scent, Watercolor painting...though she's pretty bad at it, Scrapbooking and Photography

Bio: Born one year after Cororo Sakanade, Arara was a child whom originally had no expectations placed on her, being female and a second child. It may have been a traditionalistic view, but nevertheless, she was taught how to draw before how to write, how to cook before how to fight, with a whole bunch of skills that were switched around in terms of priority. A smart girl with a head for numbers, she went through school early, and admired her older brother, who skipped a grade and was regularly one of the brighter kids in school. They had a healthy relationship of arguments and admiration, a bond strengthened by the fact that they regularly sparred against each other in the family dojo.

It was only when Arara was six that she had her Aura, and therefore, her Semblance, unlocked. Then, things began to change. When she began to display limitless amounts of energy during martial arts competitions, yet exhausted fairly easily during one-on-one sessions with her teacher, her parents drew a quick, decisive decision. After Grade 3 ended, she was carted off into a private school for enlightened children, to be trained at a much higher pace than normal. Though once a martial artist, she was now being trained in the usage of a spear, following the path of her ancestors. She was only average, but she was compared to other genius kids, and thus, her parents accepted that position. Blossoming in both the mastery of the Dragon and Tiger Arts, as well as mathematics and economics, the role of the 'inheritor' of Sakanade Textiles, without her knowing, eventually switched from Cororo to Arara.

When she finally graduated, she came out to learn that her brother was no longer there, and her parents were unwilling to give her any information regarding his whereabouts. It took some faunus interrogation to figure it out, but after that, she used daddy's credit card to pay off a full year's worth of tuition in Beacon, and promptly set off.

With credentials as prestigious as her own, it was no trouble at all being accepted into such an academy.

Personality: Arara is a down-to-earth individual for the most part, someone who has a head for math and business, as well as a fighting style that's just as practical as her personality. Yet, despite being a rather grounded person, she's ultimately someone who enjoys pointless things, such as watching movies, smelling tea, and painting even though she sucks at it. A romantist on the inside, she has an active imagination that she never truly utilizes, and thus, could be considered by many as someone who's too inflexible. She simply likes to think that she's a law-abiding citizen, and prides herself on how responsible, kind, and understanding she is. Of course, she also has tunnel-vision when she's close to her goal, and is just a teensy-bit racist when it comes to those half-human mangy-as-hell barbarian faunus, but that's okay~ Only humans matter~
Getcho ass to the OOC and spam there, Irish.
Sup Nekomancer. How's it going?
Hm, Nefarious, is it alright if I have Cororo as a second year student NPC or something? Just so I can shove his sister in this RP as well, cause gosh, this RP never lasts long enough for me to actually do anything with his character...e.e
