Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Well it *was* positive coverage, but the way it was praised and what was focused on made it sound very unappealing. (basically equivalent to think pieces, and just as badly written and half-assed as that implies.) It was several outlets too, likely all copying off each other.

I'm not saying this is what you're getting at but this makes it seem like you're reading stuff from like The Root and how unapologetically urban it is and extrapolating from that. Either that or just bad reviews.

Not exactly a high bar we are setting is it?

Being first place in a three person race is still first place.
@Dynamo Frokane Assuming you liked Saya, then Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer is good, it's cyberpunk and by the same author as Saya. Phantom of Inferno is pretty good, though it can be a bit edgy as is the case for Urobuchi. I assume the samurai one is Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa or Hanachirasu, so if you didn't like one maybe try the other? I liked Gekkō no Carnevale for the setting really, but I like a bit of modern gothic every now and then. Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate are also good, with Steins;Gate being the superior one.
Into the Spiderverse is both the best Spider-Man movie and the best animated movie of the year.
@Dynamo Frokane@Fabricant451 I mean they're both made by Arc System soooo...

@Dynamo Frokane Except BlazBlue
I had no idea the visual novel developr Nitro+ had an all female crossover fighting game!

The shocking thing is that it's actually a pretty decent fighting game.
