Alicia Hayden

The group quickly sprang into action, with Alicia surprised to find some new additions making themselves known once they had arrived at their destination. "I'm sure there's some kind of joke here," she muttered, more to herself than anything. How odd was it that they would only find one magical girl willing to help out back home, but here in the Overcity they were practically falling out of the sky to help out? Not that she minded, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Fortunately, with added help from Scout the two of them were able to take out at least one Gorelion, and if they had been worried about being able to see before her arrows made sure that there was plenty of ambient light to go around. "No kidding," she huffed in agreement with the observation of how tough these guys were. They were all going to need to kick it up a notch if this was the kind of resistance they could expect from here on out.

Keeping up the fire, Alicia prepared to add a bit more juice to make sure her arrows had some oomph to them. Yet before she could do that Mariette mentioned opening up portals that they could use, right before the Gorelions seemed to lose all sense of strategy and launch themselves forward in a full on blitz of the Earth Bastion. She wasn't sure if it was some kind of coincidence or if Mariette had been responsible, but having all of those things bum rushing the ship wasn't exactly what she would call an optimal situation.

Jostled by the impacts against the ship, Alicia stumbled back before retaking her place on the railing. "Fine, guess I'll have to pull out some new cards. Star Seraph, let them see you burn." Pulling back the drawstring on an arrow of light, her gaze narrowed as she focused on the Gorelion that had slammed against the ship. The glow of the arrow intensified, brighter and brighter until it shone like a small star as she poured mana into it.

Then at some point only she could determine she released the drawstring and fired. Instead of an arrow though it was a solid beam of light, crossing the short distance to strike the Gorelion from at an angle compared to where she was standing. Her aim did not waver, instead it moved as she traced a burning line from its head to its neck, doing whatever it took to put that thing down for good.

Once it did, she shifted aim and prepared to repeat the process with the next one. And so on until those things attacking them were good and in the ground. It burned her energy like nothing else, but given the circumstances it was necessary. Better for them to make it to Justine as intact as possible, rather than for them all to be drained by the time they got there. It was a choice she was willing to make.
Just as a forewarning, I will not accept being forced to compensate people for destroyed furniture
Ah, I wasn't sure how international the event was supposed to be, given the description that was involved in the OP (the amount of magical girls involved and this being a once every 20 years type thing. I'd say her parents relocated for work then, though I'm not opposed to just changing the name.
Vivian Everett

It was so sudden that Vivian almost didn't see it coming, focusing on getting to the police bar as she was. As a result she was taken off guard when she rushed past the people she recognized as the fellow members of Justice Heart each taking on their own problems in their own particular way. She hit the brakes, quickly slowing to a stop as she turned to face the monster that had been chasing her for so long. Now they could handle this bit of business.

She didn't have to say anything before Lily noticed her problem, sending an attack to ignite the thing on fire and hopefully kill it. At the very least it had a better chance of working than anything she had done so far, so she would have to be grateful for that. As much as she could be considering she'd barely heard from some of them for the past couple of years.

The motorcycle parked, Vivian hopped off the bike before removing her helmet as well. "Alright, what did you guys do?" she challenged, figuring they were the cause for why she had just been attacked by a monster out of the blue. Who else would be culpable for something magical like that?

She then noticed the conglomeration of furniture, held in place for the moment yet with no one else addressing it. "What, you guys couldn't handle a couch without me?" she asked with a hint of incredulity. Nonetheless she faced towards it, hefting her hammer and concentrating energy in it before launching another Dark Pulse at the thing. With it concentrated where it was, that would hopefully crush it down to nothing but splinters and debris, finishing it off for good.

Name: Amelia Serrai
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance:Normal
Personality: If there is one word to describe Amelia, it would be 'content'. She is a generally happy person who doesn't stress too much and enjoys the simpler things in life. When doing something she cares about she is passionate and animated, and when she is not she's more willing to just go along with things while wearing a smile, helping out her friends, trying new things, and simply enjoying the world as it is.

Yet even someone like her has a wish. It's just a matter of realizing it
Skills: Writing, music, gaming
Brief Backstory: A girl with no reason to be a magical girl, seemingly, Amelia nonetheless found herself as one through a series of events. Entrusted with a special power and a mission, Amelia was quick to find herself engrossed in the magical girl lifestyle, fighting monsters, protecting people, and serving as the heroine of her town with the help of a few of her friends that she let in on the secret. Having moved up in school, facing increased pressures from homework, activities, and actual work, she has nonetheless done her best to carry on as a magical girl, and do what needs to be done to protect those she cares about

Magical Girl Appearance: Rising light
Concept: Devotion
Archetype: Phoenix
Abilities: Amelia is a fairly balanced magical girl, one that combines decent utility abilities with some offensive power. Her combat focuses on at range battle rather than melee combat, flowing from the staff that she uses in combat. It channels her magic and lets her unleash the majority of her spells, though in a pinch she can use her own body in exchange for a physical cost. Though she is aware that she should have more powerful abilities, she has never been pushed to the point where she has needed to find out what they were.

  • Featherfall - Wings of fire are made to sprout from Amelia's back, allowing her to take to the skies and soar
  • Fire Burst - Does what it says on the tin, launching a blast if fire from her staff. The size and intensity can vary depending on the amount of energy she puts into it
  • Star Ignition - Amelia focuses the rays of the sun through her staff, creating what is effectively a solar powered beam attack that can scorch and burn through whatever it strikes with devastating results.
  • Darkened Breath - For those times when Amelia does get in close, this spell unleashes a cloud of ash that engulfs the area, either allowing her to escape or to take the fight to the enemy while they're blinded. It dissipates after a short time if she doesn't use it again.

I think I'm pretty close to done, just might tweak things if I have a better idea but at this point this is what I'm going with. Sorry it took so long
Can't really judge who my favorite character is yet, let me get back to you on that one
Alicia Hayden

The Beckoner had a couple things in mind when Helga mentioned the ritual, and somehow she was not surprised to find that it involved using the blood of magical girls to do something evil. Not that it made her feel better about the situation, given what the likely fate of those girls being used as disposable magic batteries by a psychopath was. That should be more of an incentive to get there and finish this, before something tragic happened.

Otherwise, she did her best to ignore Libby as they prepared to get underway. "Of course we do," she replied, as if anything else would be ridiculous. Nothing had changed as far as she was concern, besides the haste in which they needed to move. This ritual was bad news and if it was already going then they would need every second with the opposition they were going to be facing.

The sudden flaring of light pulled her attention away, as she finally caught on to the lamp that Alexander had mentioned before. Only now it was glowing before suddenly being snuffed out, probably not a good sign. "Okay then, is that normal too?"

As if to answer her, the rising sound of demonic roars made themselves known, and her gaze swept around to find the source before the monsters emerged from the cover off in the distance. She didn't need Amber to tell her what to do as she stepped over to the side of the boat, planting a foot on the railing as she summoned Star Seraph into her hands. "Look alive," she called. "Justine sent her welcoming party."

Picking the targets that were coming at them from the west, Alicia strung her bow and aimed. "Star Seraph, burn," she intoned, tracing a glyph in the air in front of her. She fired, catching it in the air for a few brief moments before it was accelerated on its way with a hail of copied arrows around it. That was a process that she would repeat, as she began a long range barrage of their foes. Since the ship apparently didn't have any weapons itself, it would be on them to keep those things away. And for the success of their mission, she would do her best
Vivian Everett

Glancing over her shoulder, Vivian was pleased to see that her hammer had effectively locked the monster in place by the force of gravity. But it was not dead, and if it could stand up to that then it could probably take all her attacks short of Meteor Strike. Which wasn't exactly something that she was going to break out in the middle of the highway.

"Well hanging out by the police isn't exactly my idea of a good time," Vivian muttered as she received the message telling her where to go. "But I guess I can make an exception." Hopefully they wouldn't turn her in, or stick up for her if one of the actual cops noticed. Or something.

Revving the engine, she made a sharp turn as she headed in the general direction of where she remembered the police bar to be. Those girls had better not be too busy, because she was not going to turn around just because they weren't. For a moment she actually felt pretty cool, riding on a motorcycle while swinging a hammer like a paperweight. Then she remembered that she was in her mid thirties, fleeing from a monster that by all rights she should have been able to smoke when she was in her prime.

She hated being older.

The creature rapidly closing in reminded her that she needed to focus, and she leaned forward with her hammer extended behind her, drawing closer to her destination. Hopefully they weren't too busy, because she was coming in hot.
Vivian Everett

Driving down the highway, Vivian grinned as she enjoyed the wind in her hair. There was nothing like a bit of speed to get your energy back up after a long day of work, at least in her mind. She did always enjoy the open road even if she found herself being pulled back into town time and time again. But she would not let herself slip into that kind of thought as she headed towards her first destination of the night.

Finding herself contacted again by their former mascot, she was about to blow it off when a gust of wind suddenly slammed past her motorbike, much too concentrated and much too fast to be anything other than an attack. Gritting her teeth, Vivian forced the wheel back down as her gaze swept the horizon to find where the attack had come from.

Not that she had to look hard as a monster appeared right in front of her, some sort of humanoid storm thing that was more wind than monster. "Guess the other one got pulled after all," she muttered to herself in disbelief as she veered to the side to dodge another attack before gunning the engine and taking off. Not that she figured she could outrun the thing, but it might buy her a bit of time that she could use to handle this situation.

"Shift!"

White light flared out from where she was, a ball of twirling wires and threads surrounding her for a few moments before she was left back on the road in her magical girl outfit. Surprisingly it still fit her, though it was a cringe worthy now as she remembered it. But there was no time to focus on how bad her decorative choices had been in the past. She had a fight to worry about.

Pulling around, she manifested her hammer as she slammed on the brakes. The creature would shoot ahead of her for a few moments and that was all the time that she needed to make this work. "Take this!" With a cry she swung the hammer at the wind monster. A dark orb coalesced at the end of the hammer before being flung towards the monster at the apex of the swing, drawing it in and subjecting it to the crushing force of gravity. Ideally it would immobilize the thing and leave her in good standing.

Meanwhile, she could focus on linking up with the rest of the team, once that problem was dealt with. "Fine, you guys win. Where are you?" she muttered, hoping an answer would quickly present itself as she put the pedal to the metal again.
