@Potemking: I feel as though you may have a masochistic compulsion. I've broken many a controller over Soulsborne games.

Redguards are technically the Arabians of Tamriel, so wouldn't shouting "Haji" make more sense? No disrespect to my Muslim buddies out there, just sayin'.

[2] It can also be effective in subverting the person's expectations. Take for instance Spec Ops: The Line. Looks like a boring military shooter, but is actually a grim look into the horrors of war.

In the incandescent, ominous glow of the full moon, there stood four male figures clad in all black, form fitting tactical gear, one holding the PSG1 sniper rifle responsible for the murder of poor Dmitri. Their faces were hidden behind featureless, white porcelain masks, yet it was clear as day they were from the Japanese branch of Requiem's assassin syndicate, Class Noir, as one of them shouted in his native Nihon,

"Kill her! For the glory of Requiem!"

They descended from the rooftops in rapid pace, each moving swiftly as they brandished their sidearms...and opened fire.

@King Tai

"Good." Azuma said blunt with a curt nod. "Requiem's future hinges upon your success. Do not disappoint me, Ringo-san."

@bloonewb @CriticalHit @DriveEMOut

Once his business was settled with Ringo, Azuma returned to the others awaiting his further orders. "I see that you are all well armed. Good. The accomadations have been made for your respective missions. I expect good results from each of you. Your flights will leave early tomorrow morning. For now, rest and prepare. That is all."

(Bye Felicia!)

"Well...thanks I guess." Harley muttered a tad disappointed. It was to be expected in the end of days. The comforts of home were now relics of the past in this dog eat dog world. The only hope she probably had of getting a nice shower was standing out in the middle of a cold rain butt naked, and that...well...that was just asking for trouble. She blushed just thinking about it.

After a while or so, she figured it was best to introduce herself to the others. No use in being a stranger if she was going to be staying here for a few days, right? She might as well get comfortable with the others around here.

Her boots clopped loudly and her spurs rattled as she made her way into the store, looking around with an astounded whistle, "Damn! Mighty fine place y'all got here! It's kind of a dump, but hey, at least it keeps the bugs and the rain off, right?"
@The Critic

"Hey hold on there now!" Harley called afer Isaac running up to him. "Don't suppose y'all know where a gal like me can git cleaned up, do ya? I've been needin' a bath ever since I left my home down in Texas." Her cheeks reddened a little mentioning that. It wasn't the most flattering thing, but she was honest. After spending nearly weeks on end sleeping in mud, fighting her way through filthy savages...and them, she was starting to smell like a pig sty.
@King Tai S'allll good! Somebody's gotta man the fort while I'm stuck being a wage slave.
@King Tai Oi numpty! Who da bloody hell said you could GM?

XD Thanks for that though! Work has officially murdered me...

@Ghostly Like Tai said, just make a CS and I'll approve it! ^_^
@The Critic

She must've dozed off for a moment, jumping up when a young man started speaking to her, asking if she needed help. A nice gesture yes, but she was still uneasy around these people. "Nah, partner, I'm good. Sorry but ya scared me there a little. Name's Harley. Nice to meetcha." Harley introduced herself tipping her cowboy hat.

Dmitri fiddled with the lock on the car door for a bit. Damn American cars, nothing but rust buckets. It took a while, a few muttered curses, a few jiggles of his keys before the door unlocked and he sighed, "Ah, good. Now we can-"

*BANG!*

The Russian's head exploded in a spray of red mist, blood and brain splattered across the old pewter sedan. His lifeless body crumpled before the feet of the Japanese girl, his fedora slipping away...revealing the gory results.

~"Good."~ Hibana returned in a frail whisper. No emotions displayed, yet her weary heart beamed bright inside her chest. ~"Now..return to me, Aya-chan."~ She ended the call and sat her phone down, alone in the darkness of her office. Maracoli would crumble to pieces at the sight of his beloved family drawn and quartered, just like his worthless mooks had done to her advisor. An eye for an eye...

The Maracoli Family would no longer be a threat to Requiem. In fear of what may become of them and their families, they would surrender the square to Hibana and all of California and the West Coast would be under her control...nay...

Aya's control...

Aya-chan...you have made me happy. I will but smile from the flames of Hell as I see Requiem rise by your hand. Well done, Aya...well done...

My child...

"If you are ready. It's time to leave."

After the call ended, Dmitri stood from the booth of the cafe and led Aya to his car waiting in the back alley.
