It's more straight up mind control then actually relying on Miyu doing anything. It's like the Matrix except there isn't anyone to give you a red or blue pill (though Graf might do it for shits and giggles and give Miyu false hope of escaping her situation).

@floodtalon

Well for starters, while Balrog and Graf are more or less in sync due to their mutual intentions (Kill everything), Balrog could use some extra demonic pressure to overpower Graf's control of his body. So basically, Henry needs to possess/sit in the pilot seat. And while Graf's own lesser Golden Eyes are helping give the metal colossus enough juice to fight, if Henry contributes with his real Silver Eyes, that'll give em just enough power to possibly get away from this situation in most of their pieces. Not to mention it'll give Henry far more control over Grafdakka. As for adding Miyu to the mix, again it's more of a bonus. She wouldn't really be in charge of anything, and it's more like we're siphoning her knowledge from her head and doing horrible, horrible things to her body while we're at it.

I should warn you however, Henry won't be able to teleport to Graf. Endian's Demensional Anchor is still active, so any sort of teleportation or movement beyond stepping one foot after the other is largely prohibited.

Good, Henry can't teleport lol. And yeah, I'm about to post now.
@floodtalon
Can that shot at least wing Henry? Pls?

I was planning on that happening yeah. One of Henry's wings gets blown off and then he's smashed into the floor by gravity.

@floodtalon

Speaking of Henry, I got a proposition for you. Fran of all people would be the one to suggest it, but essentially, didn't Henry want a giant mech? Well, it looks like now there's a giant mech that Balrog just so happened to assimilate. All they need is a few more "parts", and I'm sure Henry could rely more on Balrog to deliver then Miyu. After all, Balrog is as straight forward as dropped cinder block. All Henry needs to do is give it a bit of a kickstart, and maybe just for giggles, toss Miyu into the mix too. Don't worry, once she's assimilated her very mind would be double-teamed by Balrog and Graf, like a sort of mental gang rape.

Just a suggestion.

Oh hell yes, Henry would drop Miyu in a heartbeat for something like that. What do you mean by kick start though, does the machine need power?
@The 42nd Gecko

Also, I don't think you can fly anymore. Intensified gravity is a bitch.
@The 42nd Gecko

I do believe @Lucius Cypher just made an offer to you. I'll refrain from responding until you respond to it. Things might get confusing otherwise. Also, whoo! Princess may have just saved Henry's life with that gravity increase!

You are not wrong, there's no such thing as being immune to EMPs because of the fact that there's no such thing as perfect insulation or shielding. It's just a matter of increasing the charge and eventually any dielectric will give in and become a conductor.

However, modern equipment has a higher threshold against it than older ones had. Yet, let's say, if someone detonated a nuke on low orbit, they would fry a huge portion of the electronics in an appreciable area (I'm talking about half of Canada, for example), just depending on the bomb's yield.

It's still nothing compared to taking a solar flare to the face, but that's as close as we can get at the moment with current tech. Refer to this and you'll see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-altitude_nuclear_explosion

Yeah, it would get pretty crazy with the type of weapons we have today. That type of testing was banned in 1962 so we have no idea how much it would take out with a modern nuke.

Cobalt listened to Diamond intently, no matter how absolutely attention grabbing the cat girl cuteness was, nodding in agreement when she reached her point about training. "Training is definitely number 1 on the list of our priorities, both team and individual. If you could introduce me to Shiro I could get some sort of training set up with him."

Diamond expanded slightly more on the Semblance issue and a thoughtful look crossed over Cobalt's face. "Alright, I do suggest 2 things though. Talk to a professor about this, we don't know if this is possibly a health risk or not. And we also need to get you a weapon, I could help you make your own if you want. Not to brag or anything, but I made the 22 Smasher myself. It was an intensive process but that's beside the point."

Cobalt looked at Emerald and sighed. "I really hate to interrupt this adorable interaction, but we are currently having a team meeting. Could you perhaps join us Emerald?" Cobalt wore a patient smile on his face, really hoping for Emerald to come out from under the sheets.

It wouldn't.

@floodtalon

There is a boatload of stuff that goes with that question, the simple answer is no, just to avoid getting into a physics discussion. Simply put the Nexus is a giant mass of chaotic matter and an energy floating outside of any known space and time and yet among them all, kinda like a family sized Schrodinger's Cat experiment made by @TheWindel an insane mind.

Going into further detail would be losing one's time.

Thank you for the answer btw, I thought that would he the case but it is nice to get confirmation.
Well technically the military hasn't made their equipment resistant to EMPs, they just are moving the important stuff into bunkers which are protected from EMP attacks. The best defense anyone has is Farraday Cages right now. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
@The 42nd Gecko

Considering the ambiguous nature of the Nexus, I'm not sure it has an ionosphere though. Meaning that a nuke may not cause an EMP effect in the Nexus. Any thoughts @KoL?
@The 42nd Gecko

To be fair, nukes don't cause an EMP effect. The effect results from the nuke's extreme heat moving the ionasphere which causes the EMP effect.

This is a good article on how nukes cause EMPs.
