Personality: Talonite used to be fairly rude and a bit of a jerk, not afraid to get his hands dirty when it came to terrorising people and taunting them during Pokemon battles. A very antagonistic fellow, however lately he's been reevaluating his life after recent revelations.
Biography: Talonite was born as the son of two Sinnoh Ace Trainers, traveling the world in their journeys yet forced to settle down once their child was a factor. They moved to Alola and lived a fairly happy home life, but there was always a tone of dissatisfaction. They were forced to stop their journey because of something neither of them had wanted.
That's not to say they didn't love Talonite of course, just that he had cut their dreams short. Talonite knew this from a young age and felt both guilty and angry about it. He never asked to be born, so why did they look at him like he was some sort of road block? This attitude came to a head when he ran away from home at the age of 12. For a few months he wandered around Melemele Island as this angsty little preteen who just wanted to strike back at the world for preconceived slights against him. Eventually he got the chance when he ran into a man named Guzma.
Guzma was charismatic for a misguided youth like Talonite, it was going to be them against the world. Guzma took him in and they set off to Ula'Ula to induct him into Team Skull. As Team Skull slowly grew Talonite was definitely one of the top grunts, meaning that he was one of the few who actually got stuff done. Near the end of Team Skull's lifespan there had even been talk of Talonite being worthy of an Admin position among the grunts.
Unfortunately it was not meant to be as the soon to be Champion was able to beat Guzma and spark a strange change of heart in him. Guzma disbanded Team Skull and many of them went their own ways. Talonite was left with no direction and he decided to go back to his parents after almost 3 years away from home. When he arrived he found a new family had moved in, his own nowhere to be seen.
Talonite wandered all over Alola for 2 years as he figured out his path, even beating the Island Challenge and challenging the Elite 4. He was thoroughly wrecked by Acerola. Talonite finally met up with Plumeria, who kept in contact with all the former Team Skull grunts, and they talked about life. Talonite mentioned how he had no goals or direction and Plumeria handed him a brochure for Chromis, which had recently formed a Pokemon League. She then said this.
"You're good at battlin right? So go battle idiot!"
With that being said he set off on his adventure. After catching a brand new Gastly at Hau'Oli Cemetery he dropped off the rest of his Pokemon at a Poke Center, trusting they would know what to do with the stolen Pokemon. As he waited at the Melemele Island Docks for the boat to Chromis, he ran into one last familiar face. Ya boy Guzma.
Guzma remembered him and they caught up with each other, Talonite never asked why he disbanded Team Skull. At the end of it Guzma mentioned that he had an egg he needed to get rid of, Talonite gladly offered to take it off his hands for him. With all being said and done, Talonite and Guzma went their seperate ways and Talonite headed off to Beryllium City to start his journey.
