Ask @Lmpkio who Takizawa is based off of.

<Snipped quote by floodtalon>

Hoho has always declared herself as an arrogant mad scientist.

I mean, if you declare yourself mad are you really mad? Unless she's literally mad. Which is an established fact really.
<Snipped quote by floodtalon>

Miyu. Takizawa. Hoho. That one guy who joined, did two posts, and quit back at the RPs start. We've had several mad scientist. Few actually utilize them in any regular capacity or with interest.

Miyu wasn't a mad scientist, she was a engineer who betrayed people a lot. Takizawa isn't even close to mad as far as I know. Hoho isn't either, just an asshole. We haven't had a true mad scientist yet. I don't know about that other guy you mentioned tho.
@BCTheEntity

If you want him simplified, wouldn't it be easier to not make him a composite of all three Factions then? The biggest example is his wings; if you're going for simple, why does his wings change from demonic, angelic, and mechanical?

Aesthetics. In all seriousness though I think that the character is pretty dope, nobody has really done the mad scientist angle as of yet.
@BCTheEntity

Hmm. With all that, wouldn't it make sense for him to be a Fallen Harpy and fight for Hell? Or even a full blown demonic mechanical harpy and fight for the Machina.

Yes, join the Demon Emp- wait I'm not with the Demons anymore huh? Join the Machina Empire, we have badass tech that blows shit up.
@Lonewolf685

I mean, it's a blade made out of holy light. Maggots or not that's going to hurt. Probably going to send him on KoL's thing though. It sounds interesting.

So the recent bit with the asteroids has got me wondering about something. What is outer space like in the Nexus? Is there an entire galaxy out there or us it more of a giant planet with a bit of void surrounding it.

Not planning on doing anything with it. Just curious from a worldbuilding standpoint.

The easy answer is there is space, but nothing out there worth going to.

Henry Pearl Avaritia

@Banana@KoL@Ryonara

Henry had a cocky grin on his face as he strolled through Hyperion, knowing that the moment anyone tried anything he would have a justifiable excuse to take his pound of flesh. Unfortunately Bonesword had things under control right now, so no dismemberment. Yet. Some random civilian threw a rock at Bonesword and Henry caught it, about to throw it back way harder until Bonesword spoke up. "I've got everything under control. Don't make the situation go sour." Henry clicked his tongue and frowned.

"Why do you care? They're just some jackass humans." Eventually they made it to the main building where Bonesword attempted to get someone to open the door for them. "Nifty. Say, do you know how to get out of here? I'd just go through the door, but this one is surprisingly shiny, and they might get angry if I destroy it. There's some buttons, but I'm afraid to press them." Henry's smile returned as he prepared to bust the door open. "Don't worry about it, I'm happy to go through it." Unfortunately his fun was ruined when Eos summoned everyone directly to her. "Oh hey. How ya doing, it's been a minute since we've talked. And by a minute I mean about a day, when you threatened to wipe me from existence." He really shouldn't be snarking off to his new boss already, but he just couldn't help it.

This was usually the part where his boss would frown, shout angrily at them as they had failed miserably in killing or taking whatever, then somebody gets killed because death meant jackshit in the Nexus. However Eos actually praised everyone, excluding himself. She praised them for bringing him over, which was really weird. He raised a hand during one of Eos's pauses. "Is it normal behavior on your part to praise your subordinates? That's not really normal in Hell, I'm kind of trying to get a feel for how this works is all."

Then Eos turned to him. "Nevertheless, it's not prudent to trust a defector so readily. Thereby, I'm placing you, Henry Avaritia, on probation. You'll be placed under the watch and command of the most suited unit for this task. The only who won't be afflicted by any attempts of corruption that you may try to do, in case your intentions aren't genuine, by this I mean that Bonesword shall be the responsible for your fate within our ranks. Conversely, your actions will influence his fate as well." Henry shrugged, made sense. At least from a sense that Henry couldn't corrupt Bonesword, he could still absolutely wipe the floor with him. Hell he could take out Bonesword blindfolded, it would just mean he had to use a bomb from his Gates rather than his Silver Eyes.

More stuff happened, including Eos giving Bonesword a minigun. A plant minigun, which wasn't nearly as cool as a regular one but a minigun nonetheless. While Eos was talking he looked over at the Meido sisters and waved, he remembered them from that time he got kicked through a mountain and into a forge. He still needs to kill the snake bitch for that. Finally Eos finished off asking if anyone had any questions. Henry raised his hand once more. "Where do I live? And don't tell me it's with Plantsword, I'm not living in his gross shack. I have standards."

Henry didn't even bother getting ready for battle in anyway when the funny looking skeleton ran out with his sword drawn. The only real aggression from his side came from his dogs, Cero drooling over the prospect of bones to chew down. He snapped his fingers in front of Cero's face to get his attention, noticing Bonesword back down as soon as he realised who he was facing. Smart move. "Are... are you really defecting?" Bonesword asked with a tone of incredulity, shocked that Henry wasn't here to destroy all of Hyperion via black holes and a rain of magical weapons.

"Yup! I kinda committed high treason in Hell by telling the queen to go fuck herself and threatened to kill her horrible abomination of a daughter, who was some weird mix of all 3 factions I would like to add. Basically I kinda burned down every bridge conceivable." He said all this with an air of nonchalance, as if this was just another day in the Nexus. Which it really was. Bonesword whistled for a walking stump which brought out two steaks for his 3 dogs. They swarmed upon the steaks immediately, Brutus and Angelica fighting over the second steak while Cero comfortably munched on the one he got to.

"You can probably leave your things in that weird dimension of yours, excluding your dogs. I can help you get to Eos and register, but you have to promise NOT to kill anyone before we get there. Hopefully these steaks will hold your hellhounds off until we get there." Henry shrugged at the idea of not killing anyone. "I guess I'll try not to kill anyone. Unless they piss me off. Why does it matter anyways, they'll just respawn." With that being said they headed to Hyperion to register Henry with Eos.

I feel like I should've worded what I said better and I'm sorry that I was unclear. I didn't meant this was a way for the GMs to get rid of characters, I am perfectly aware that they're giving an honest chance to everyone who wants to do a fun SOL universe. I meant that the players sending their characters out were just doing it to get rid of them. I'm sorry that you misinterpreted what I said, I meant no offense to the GMs.
I'm starting to think the escape from the Nexus is just a way to get rid of characters people don't want to play as anymore... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Slick- An Explosive Start!

"I would think that, uhh..I've heard people say, uhh..that time is money. And uhh..if you can burn money, umm.. you could theoretically burn time, I guess." Once Cedric said that Slick's smile grew even wider. He was going to like Clock Town. Suddenly a man proclaiming himself to be a giant crab spoke over the seas and demanded everyone surrender, immediately afterward he then told everyone he was going to fire a boarding torpedo at them. Seems kind of counterproductive but whatever. As the ship began to tilt due to Dirk abandoning the wheel Slick covered the bottom of his feet in oil, sliding towards the cannons. "Wheeeeee!" He grabbed a cannon at the last second to make sure he didn't go tumbling overboard and looked at Bonesword whose hat could just barely be seen over the wheel.

"Boneblade, do I get to set things on fire now?" Slick asked with a manic grin on his face and an insane gleam in his eyes. As he spoke these words he was already in the process of covering a cannonball in oil, readying it to be lit on fire as it was fired. This is his favorite part of the job really, cooking is just a bonus.
