I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

@Krayzikk I didn't choose the life. The life chose me.

Just so y'know, you're so far the only guy on an anime-inspired team of mech-pilots.
@pugbutterI played the heck out of Mechwarrior IV long ago. Good times!
I've read a little bit of the Battletech novels, but most of my experience has been absorbing the lore in the sourcebooks. Never got into the tabletop game, as the only things popular around me are 40k and MtG.

Aside from, a few RPs... I was mostly the anti-mech antagonist.
-But for reasons...

So, um... if you need ideas for how not to die horribly if you have to eject while surrounded by mechs with adaptiv-camo and thermals in a dark alleyway...
Would be kinda a real killjoy right about now if someone went full-sherlock and managed to predict your entire life story from that.

*Notices a large box in the middle of room inching away*

Why yes, I have played quite a bit of Castlevania III.
Still here, still inching along at the character-bio between other things.

Pretty much all that's left is hobbies/skills/history.

Uh, yeah, fuck Photobucket.

Let's try this instead (more or less the same design but from a different universe):

Hands are actually OK, it's the robot-sized rifle and sword which get a laugh out of me.

Mostly because hands make terrible firing-platforms compared to bolting it directly to a structure... tripod-mounts and gun-cradles aren't shaped like fingers for many good reasons.
-But that's a personal-choice thingy in the scheme of RPs.
I'm tempted to say yes, and the image hasn't even loaded.

Katya's main weapon was going to be a pair of 106mm recoilless-rifles mounted on Yassir's shoulder similar to the Type 60 tank destroyer, and reloaded similar to the AMOS or Wiesel-Mortar.
-Although I'm sorta-guilty of giving mine "hands" to operate the 23mm autocannon, but this is because Glashya is totes expected to be able to dismount and use this weapon all by her lonesome (this sort of thing has happened in previous threads, and yes, her autocannon is that tiny)...
I could make it a wrist-gun...

Miss Sparr's mech, meanwhile, has her mech's main cannon built into the arm/wrist.
I hope Zverda is alright.
:c

Zverda is just a little bit busy still-yet. I think.

But soon.

Otherwise I'm just going to have to work with some placeholder-content.
