Why?
Consider dozens or even hundreds of Tier 4 beings gathered together. A certain degree of ruthlessness or protection is required to thrive in Tier 4, and among those, beings focused on science with little regard for the safety of others would be a major concern of mine. It would inevitably lead to experimentation, destruction, and attempted slaughter by the very nature of the company involved.
