@A Lowly Wretch: All right, summary of the important things that happened in that group thus far:
  • Both characters met in Sen Rynta, and after a brief pit stop at Myrtle's mansion, left for the outskirts.
  • They hunted a rabbit and cooked it.
  • The smell of cooked rabbit attracted a bunch of hobgoblins, who then attacked...
  • And then were promptly executed with impunity.

And that's about where things stand now.

On that note, do you want a Discord link for the RP?

"Uh... Huh. Well, I assume going back to the lake where you ended up like that isn't the best of choices," the swordsman began, glancing briefly at the muck-covered elf, "but there's probably a body of water feeding into that which would be of some use. Probably."

Of course, seeing that Saito had only come out of it with naught but a dirty coat, Yu could only wonder what sort of bad luck Sefira had to have had in order to end up in her current state.

"As for the fish... Uh... Preserving... Salt, I guess?" he half-asked, half-responded as he rifled through his inventory. Other than the food he already had in his inventory (which, Yu considered, was probably worth checking the integrity of), there didn't seem to be anything to use to help with preservation...

Or even to season the fish with...

"...Hm. This... Might be a problem," he muttered to himself as the sound of footsteps approaching from another direction caught his notice. The return of both Eunice and Kokoma, it seemed—and with a new guest to boot.

"I see you've helped resolve the food problem," Eunice said, looking at the fish both Saito and Sefira had gathered before looking at the two of them proper, "though there seems to be a new one in its place."

After placing the firewood and tinder she had gathered off to the side before beginning to set up the fire pit, the white-haired girl held one hand out towards what she had prepared and, rather than lighting the campfire immediately, began to heat the wood to draw what moisture remained out of it.

There was a pause before Yu turned to look at Saito's coat again and, having finished with the tents, found himself with little else to do beyond checking the situation out. Equipment maintenancce, especially with regards to clothing, would have to be up his alley, right...?

"Uh... Hm. Well, assuming that there is a river near that lake, I could probably wash all this gunk out and dry it. Never did laundry by hand before, but it's probably better than letting it set, right?" he asked before turning towards Sefira again. "Though, uh... I assume you'd rather wash your own clothes, if possible."

All the while, of course, the cat that Kokoma had found continued fidgeting around in her arms. The animal seemed uncomfortable with being carried as it was, and coupled with a broken limb, the stress it seemed to be experiencing was but a given. Once it caught wind of the fish, though, and saw the amount that the pair of adventurers had managed to gather, its eyes seemed to widen in shock. Though it did not seem to yearn for any, the sight of it all seemed to keep it from scratching Kokoma.

Or, at the very least, any more than it already had.

It went without saying that the hobgoblins that had been thrown into the air by the tornado had unceremoniously rained down from the skies above onto the ground, their bodies battered and broken. If they weren't dead before, they most certainly were now—and if not then, they would be soon enough.

"I-I'm fine..." Anastasia said, glancing between the two other girls at her side before looking again towards the carnage they had unleashed, her face paling slightly before she turned away with on hand on her chest. "But... Right. Food. Could we maybe... Move camp a bit away from here before that...?"

Though caught up in the heat of the moment during the short battle, it seemed that the young woman took seeing the results of combat in less stride than she did the butchery of animals, dangerous though the situation had been.

@A Lowly Wretch: Well, there are two groups right now, and with the current group division, I'd prefer you started in the Sen Rynta one with @Hammerman and @Operator Luna. I don't think there's anything to go for beyond that, other than maybe brushing over what's happened thus far with them...? I can also give a recap, if need be.
@A Lowly Wretch: Then all is well. Accepted.
@A Lowly Wretch: Uh... Yeah, basically.
@A Lowly Wretch: Ah... Hm.
Y'know, when I had read the appearance over, I was expecting something more along the lines of 'super suspicious noble with pieces that look a bit more suave' and not... Well, for lack of a better phrase, 'a cartoon villain from an animated TV series'. Honestly, as he is now, I don't think he exactly fits in with the rest of the cast aesthetically, and not in the usual goofy MMO meme outfit way—I'm talking full on "this character looks like they belong in another genre entirely" way. Coupled with the magitech pieces which look more advanced than what I was expecting for the genre (read: a power glove), and, uh... Yeah, I don't think that lines up quite right.

@CavnderOHeart: Still accepting, yes.
@A Lowly Wretch: Hm... I think that the character looks fine as-is. Well, aside from the stuff you're still finishing up.

Once that's done, I'll give the full acceptance out.
@A Lowly Wretch: Yeah, that's perfectly fine! We'll just workshop stuff out if we need to adjust at any point; looking forward to see what you spin up.
Seeing Lazirha flicker in and out of existence was jarring, to say the least, but Misaki found that she had been given next to no time to consider how to go about handling the situation as the younger girl headed into the fray. The foxgirl paused before shaking her head and nodding. There was no turning back now, it seemed.

It was only after Lazirha had unleashed whatever it was inside the box they had seen (for better or worse), though, that she chose to take any proper move. The element of surprise was all but dead now, which really only left a more direct path of opposition.

Joy.

Nodding her head towards Narkissa as she gave her directions and left, Misaki glanced back towards the slime and frowned. Keeping a semi-sentient slime trained on a group of hunters without being caught was not something anyone could call 'easy', but...

Well, anything she tried had to be better than letting Lazirha get closed in on from two sides, right?

With the hunters' attention focused towards the commotion further ahead, though, Misaki glanced back and forth between the deer at her side and the hunters before sighing and moving closer as best she could. If it was a distraction she would have to be, then there was no helping that.

Even if that means throwing small objects off the ground towards the slime from the direction of the hunters to try and draw its focus. It was possible that the deer would follow her lead, but...

"... I... Suppose that'll have to do?"

Scratching his cheek as he mused quietly to himself, Yu looked over the results of his handiwork. The cloth that he had in his inventory was sufficient to make some basic tents for the group—three in all—but not much beyond that. As distasteful as sleeping on the ground seemed to be, though, the presence of tents was most certainly better than nothing.

On the upside, at least they seemed to be of well-enough make that one would struggle to see that they had been made by someone who had no prior experience making them.

"Maybe I should go buy some more cloth at our next stop... Hm?"

Just as he finished putting the newly-woven tents off to the side in a pile, Yu glanced off to the side. Seeing two of their group return—and with fish aplenty, no less—was a welcome sight, but...

"Welcome... Back? You two certainly have your hands full," he remarked, waving towards the pair before his attention fell towards the elven mage. "Ah... Bit of a mishap, I take it? Didn't think fishing could get that messy."

Though it would be a bit of a struggle to actually get to the branches pinning the cub in place, Kokoma would soon find that actually freeing it would require only the breaking of a few choice wood away. The animal underneath would still react a bit apprehensively towards the Shenke's approach, but no more than that.

Once freed from its wooden prison, though, the cub would attempt to leave, only to end up almost immediately stumbling over its broken limb. At this point, though, Eunice would finally speak up, having watched the entire situation play out in silence until now.

"I can heal it, but we should set the limb before doing so," she remarked as she picked up some more of the wood lying about. "We should return and begin preparations before night falls; I assume you plan on keeping it for the near future, so unless you wish to do so here and now..."

The unlucky hobgoblins closest to the epicenter of the spell found their entire bodies covered in a layer of frost and ice, and for good reason—with little to help against the cold in terms of clothing, being exposed to such temperatures was more than just debilitating. The bodies themselves were not completely frozen through, and so did not shatter upon impact...

But the grotesque statues did certainly stand out against the greenery.

Those that were spared the worst of the magic, though, only fared so much better. Few had limbs frozen to their weapons or were half-trapped in the ice on the ground, locking them in place to be dispatched summarily. Of course, all were aware of the threat in front of them now and were fully in 'flight' mode—not that they could really act upon that, of course.
