Underrated and Overrated Video Games

@Skepic Airships huh? that reminds me of a aviation based RP I was GMing...

Real talk though I obviously agree with you on undertale, but as for you underrated examples its probably best to chose slightly better known examples, only so the reviews they have gotten can be compared and examined more easily, as there is a difference between underrated and relatively obscure or fairly new and still gaining traction.

For example there is a game I consider a gem called Firo & Klawd

but its one of those very few games that was released in europe but NOT in america so a huge chunk of the gaming community never had access to the damn thing. I wouldn't be fair to call it underrated because damn near no one got to rate it at all.

Also I think spiderman 2 is overrated, a functional swinging mechanic cant save boring missions and buggy combat.

Underrated and Overrated Video Games

Real simple, state one video game you think is underrated and one that you think is overrated, feel free to give as much or as little detail as you want.

Here are mine

Underrated: Ninja Gaiden 2
I dont think this game is criminally underrated, I think most people who played it think it was a good game, but goddamn if it doesn't get left out of the conversation all the time. I mean when talking about games in the combat/hack and slash adventure genre, you have Devil May Cry, God Of War, Bayonetta and Darksiders (bleh) brought up a lot, but ninja gaiden, with its extremely tight controls, good straight forward story, strong difficulty, and excellent combo system seems to just go unnoticed. I wonder if its because its made by team ninja "and they are responsibles for teh boobie game 0/10" or that its the difficulty, but this title seriously needs a 2nd opinion.

Overrated: The Last Of Us
Might be an easy target, but the game is just good, not amazing. Its very pretty and has some well acted/voiced cut scenes (FOR A VIDEO GAME) and the story is mostly compelling. But lets not pretend if the gameplay is anything more than just functional to enjoyable and that the pacing doesn't seriously drag at multiple times in the game. Again with the acting, as good as it is, if this wasn't a video game it would probably only reach the level of a fairly well received netflix movie. I think it gets blown out of proportion because it did one or two things very well and didn't do anything horribly but a 10/10 game that does not make.

This is getting pretty klanish now, The Alt-Right may be a fringe but they are absolutely a fringe gaining a lot more traction. We can only bury our heads in the sand for so long and try and pretend this is all a meme, white nationilism is real, you can be against anti-fa and thier property destroying ways and still condemn shit like this.

Not Ben Shapiro, Not Info Wars and not Mike Cernovitch.
