@Dynamo FrokaneI'm terribly sorry, but I think I might drop out of this RP. Since this is turning into a fully open world story instead of a three-way cold war like I thought it would be, and each character is just kind of doing their own thing, there's not going to be much chance for Aster to interact with anybody, and I'd hate to just spam the thread with solo posts. That much aside, I just don't think I'll be able to do much with her in this RP story-wise, and she doesn't seem to fit very well, so I think I'm going to withdraw.

Heyy Fey, dont be that way!

The plot IS a 3 way cold war, but I wanted to give the story time to build to that through information gathered, rather than just stating it in an exposition dump at the beginning. And I want to say you absolutely will have many opportunities to not only meet but interact with other players, not only just through the outcast guild missions (which are multi-role, I probably should have mentioned) but there will be plot events which will call you together with the others in the story. I just wanted everyone to start off somewhat unshackled so they could establish where they are and what they are doing in the world at the moment.

I ask that you give it a chance, the IC will be up shortly, but please know that player interaction is and will be very encouraged. And to the contrary I think your character fits very well in the RP, I left it open enough for you to paint your own lore and history on to it, like you have with the Therux State and its pilot programs.

@Liotrent You basically can start wherever you like, travel is very easy in the Orion countries so if you need to get anywhere it'll take under a day. You can accept Outcast Guild Missions at any guild centre around Fortune Reigon. Travelling in other parts of the world will trigger certain plot events.

Think of it like an open world game, there is free roaming, minor quests and a main plotline, but I want you all to start with a level of freedom.

EDIT: of course there are some things to consider, if you are a Hylo National then you probably wont be welcome in the Northern Frontier etc.

Scavenge The Mk1 graveyard

Quest Giver: Draysen Bills
Location: The Ratlin & Cores Small Arms Factory (Therux State)
Reward: 30,000 credits (10,000 bonus)
Risk: Medium-High
Brief: I am an independent weapons trader who has recently recieved a high demand for specific Mk1 model parts. On the eastern coast of the Therux state, lies what was once the biggest Mk1 Weapons Factories in the world before it was mostly destroyed since the western wars. However there are a few Old Model 'DreadNaught' Class Mechs that are said to be remains of there. The site as you can imagine is pretty popular spot for raiders and other scavengers, but if you can retrieve the torso unit I will pay the reward and throw in another 10k if you can find me a Vesper Cannon too.

Recover The Elementum Cargo

Location: Iron Canal Area (Desert lands, Fortune)
Reward: 18,000 credits
Risk: Low-Meduim
Brief: Sadly, our fine company was the target of another robbery, we were transporting fuel to one of our sister companies in the Desertlands when we got reports of an attack on the cargo train. The regular fuel can be replaced but as you know, elemuntum is near invaluable, there is only one case of it on the train, and we will pay 18K for its recovery, we expect it the bandits who raided the train to be in the Canal area, but train bandits arent known to be especially dangerous, especially in the Fortune reigon, hope to hear from you soon.

Test My Mech!

Quest Giver: Jan Davis
Location: Yancy State Central (Green lands, Fortune)
Reward: 10,000 credits
Risk: Very-Low
Brief: Hi Pilots! I'm a mech manufacturer from Therux looking to set up shop in Fortune. I plan to make a small business selling affordable, reliable mechs to the locals here, but I cant find the time to do extensive testing on my prototypes. I need a capable pilot to jump into my New Custom Mk2 prototype and run a few tests, easy really!

COMBAT GUIDE

Combat is fairly straightforward, if it is against drones or unmanned enemy machines you can conduct combat in whatever way suits you best, the description of damage given and damage received is in your control. If you want to wipeout 2 drones at once with a swing of your combat blade, go for it. If you want to have a long drawn out shootout with a drone, go for it. Whatever fits you writing at the time.

However if you are up against a piloted machine, you will have to enter RP based combat, if any of you have spent time in the Arena, you will know that this is how you resolve competitive matches. Basically you can declare attacks such as firing your gun or swinging your blade but you cant declare the attack hitting (auto hitting) only the opponent can accept attacks and vice versa. Conversely when an attack is made against you, you can attempt to block or dodge or parry, but the situation should allow for a reaction that is reasonable and somewhat realistic (you cant deflect a laser with your hand, and you probably cant dodge it either). As the GM I may Auto-Hit or declare damage on you if i feel like the enemy your facing is capable of dealing it.

But if it at any point you are facing each other, the same rules apply equally.

Damage is calculated in %, you start at 100% (most of the time and I will decide how much damage each attack does). At 10% your machine is in critical condition and might explode, you have the option of ejecting from the machine to save your pilot, or risking life by continuing to fight.
