Which is my biggest beef with a lot the shit that get's thrown DmC's way. I don't any of the Devil May Cry games are 'great' 2 of them aren't even good. But the fact that a perfectly playable game like DmC gets its asshole torn out because their favourite mastrabatory cringe death metal cover shit one liner 'laid back' bad ass has turned into a slightly more anti-social masturbatory cringe alternative metal badass who swears.

It really highlights how sad it is that musty neckbeards 'related' to the original Dante enough to get mad when they altered him oh so slightly.

Dante is everything the average video game nerd and also classic metal fan wants to be:

Eats pizza but has a perfect 6 pack, a loner but somehow liked by everyone, and gets to fuck someone who looks exactly like his mom.

A little Kingdom Hearts humor. I'm not sure why everyone hates on the action commands or "quick-time" events. This doesn't necessarily limit to Kingdom Hearts, but to other games as well. The new Spider-Man game is going to have the same formula and complaints were being made.

I think "quick-time" events are rewarding and do keep one focused on the combat or "on their toes." Not everything can be coded or executed normally.

Depends what else the game has to offer, Yakuza has quick time events, and they aren't too annoying because they only make up a 1/6th of the combat system, where as game like Ryse or Ninja Blade based the entire fighting system around it and made the games crap.

KH2's battle system wasnt that bad, it added a bit of variety to what was too simple and barebones in 1, but take the triangle prompts away and the combat suddenly gets a lot less cool.
