If you really want, but then you would also need some actual weaknesses on top of that. It would really have to balance out how powerful that one ability is, but it's up to you.

So I had an idea but I want to run it by first.

Would it be necessarily OP to have an individual who can temporarily deactivate powers with avoidable ranged attacks?

I was thinking a small little squad of people who use their powers to uphold the law against dangerous criminals and may have certain villains and gangs on their watch list. The leader would be able to put a lock on superhuman powers by affecting the genetical codes that allow it for a short amount of time.

All anti-heroes though.

If you guys think it is too op I can just tone her powers down to normal shock-based abilities.

Yeah the deactivating powers thing is very OP avoidable or not, if someone were to have that power I'd restrict maybe only to a short distance around them and make them very vunerable while using it and it taking a toll on their life force/energy. But I'm sure no one wants to play that character.

Shock based abilities sounds good.

Would a toon hero work? Think deadpool in powerset, but with a few more resistances and more weaknesses.

@DC The Dragon Yes blade is a quasi magical character but I suppose the comics i've read him on just focus on his abilities as being 'enhanced' rather than anything too mystical but I get your point.

I don't want to strictly write off everything non scientific, I'd give a little wiggle room to 'unexplained' phenomena, but yes broadly this is a sci-fi world and someone like iron fist or Dr Strange wouldnt really fit in the universe im trying to create.

However I think you have a good character, if you swap out the demon's blood for another explanation of his powers I'd approve him.

But its up to you.

But yea long rant short. I just need a simple yes or no. (And I think I got a no.)

@DC The Dragon Demon blood is a little bit too 'fantasy' for this modern urban RP, Id be okay with genetically enhanced or some sort of super serum that they call demon blood though.

@Dynamo Frokane Just so I know before I go in and try to make a lil character, are any of the following powers too OP or off limits? Not like I'm going to give all these powers to one character, I'm just seeing if any of my ideas for a character are not okay due to an OP power. Anyway here goes:

- Astral Projection
- Water Manipulation
- Sleep/Dream Inducement
- Very weak/temporary possession

They are all viable to an extent, for Astral projection id want to know what the abilities would be of the 'soul' that has left the body?

Water Manipulation is absolutely fine, Sleep Dream inducement along with possesion would need to have its limits and also be able to be resisted up to point.
