Wealthy women like hot baths because it reminds them of hell, where they come from.

@The One Yes it is, though I'm not looking forward to having to see your creepy ass avatar in this thread :D
@Ammokkx I'd rather not have you in my RP, take care now.

@King Tai Something tells me you'd join if the Black ring hadn't already been taken :P

@rawkhawk64 Hows the CS coming along? :)

Yeah the luck of the draw means you got a fairly non magical battle mage with a quite a magical starter deck, no worries though you can always balance that out with trading and new cards.
Which of these weapons (Djinn Blade, Flame Wand, Throwing Chakram, Flame Knuckle) is non-magical? A-asking for a friend...

Throwing Chakram would be the non magical one.

Who is your mysterious friend?
Well I'll be. You're actually trying this again. I doubt you'd be willing to throw me back in here after our last runi-in, but if you wish, I can throw Kyogi back on the pile.

Edit: also you have like, two fights of this completed. Why not show those examples?

I'd rather not show examples, I don't want playstyles to be influenced too much by other matches and their strategies.

But thanks for the passive aggressive self re-introduction. If there is one thing we learned from the last time we spoke is that I really love being told how to run my RP by non Co-GMs. How did that 'To End The World' Card Game RP turn out? Much better than mine I assume?
@Strange Rodent Once a fight
@Dynamo Frokane

Basically when you rest at a Bonfire (the checkpoints... kinda) you can attune a spell. Each spell can be cast only a certain number of times. After you cast it that many times you have to rest at a Bonfire again to renew the charges.

The comparison is that the cards are like the spells, and in one fight you may use any given card a certain number of times before it runs out of 'charges'.

Ah okay, well in that case its different, every card is single use and discarded after they have been used up.
@Dynamo Frokane

Oh, cool. So the cards are more similar to abilities your characters have? The numbers of said cards are more like charges of spells in Dark Souls 1 & 2?

Umm I think so, each card is single use. I know basically nothing about Dark Souls so I cant confirm the comparison. But the system is based off of Lost Kingdoms I & II if youve ever played them.
@Strange Rodent@Raging Fenrir

So I could have explained this a little better, a REAL card game does exist in the world but its not the same as the card game you will be playing. 'Mythic Legends' is an in universe game similar to MTG but the 15 cards in your deck are actually magical and cant be bought from regular stores, they are obtained by different means (will be explained as story progresses).

When a match starts, you both enter a 'shadow realm' style arena which is based off of an ancient battlegrounf that the mages used to fight in. You also 'become' you avatar/battlemage profile for the duration of the fight. After the battle is concluded you return to the real world as a student.

Battles basically take place the way Forum based Arena combat is resolved (you declare attacks but don't auto hit, only do maneuvers which are realistic in the context of the situation and your character's abilities). But because this has cards involved, you can use up to 4 cards per 'turn' (post) and then your opponent does the same in the response. Then the judge of the match (me) decides how much damage each attack does if they hit, and how the damage is resolved.

You can 'draw' any card you need to from your deck, unless an effect specifically makes a choice random, therefore the battle announcer (proabably me) will pick.

With weapon and transform cards its fairly straight forward you announce which card you are using and how you are going to attack with it e.g. 'Kenji strikes overhead with an Arcane Longsword, and then fires at the enemy patrol hound with a standard cross bow, afterwards running to his tomb caster, to defend it with an Ice Shield from the Kunai'

But with support cards you summon the monster and you can attempt to give it orders but depending on the monster it may or may not carry out your orders exactly as you gave them, this largely depends on the support monster's 'skill' some are also to aggressive or stupid to understand complex orders, (dont expect a zombie to know how to riposte).

After both players have announced their cards and actions, I will post to announce what hit, and how much damage was received or given and which cards are still active 'alive' on the on the field.

Your battlemage doesn't speak, any dialouge in battle is spoken by your character and the other player can communicate via psychic link while the battlemages and cards do battle. However when a battlemage is attacked, he or she will feel pain although they will be unharmed.
