Squires Appearance:

Class:Axe Man

Personality:Russ's Personality is practical. Its similar to his father's in that both of them are straight talking men. He is silent as a mouse most times as he doesn't like to brag or "chatter the day away". Russ is a kind individual who takes pity on the underdog, lends a helping hand to those in need, will not turn his back on a friend and he does other good deeds.
Squire Personality:Tex is a fiery hot head. He will leap head first into danger for the smallest of reasons. Tex can talk the mouth off of a politician and that is saying something.

Bio:Russ had a less than commonplace upbringing. The son of his black bearded, heavy shouldered father a blacksmith and his mother, a brunette lady who produces fine wool. Russ grew up inside the capital of GrandeCastrum, he learned about the city around his home from his father. When Russ was little more than an adolescent his father dragged him out of the house and enlisted him as part of the GrandeCastrum's Guard. Training and fighting were easy for Russ to learn, he soon became captain of the Guard.

Most times he is busy with the rest of the Guard making sure GrandeCastrum remains intact. Sometimes though he manages to elude his charges (the guards that he is leader of) and see his Father.

Squire Bio:Tex was a thieving young lad who was caught one day, while Russ was doing his rounds with the city Guard. He was going to take him straight to the courts or the prison without a second thought, but something about Tex made him change his mind. Yes the boy pleaded for Russ to let him go, on and on his voice grated at Russ's nerves but that wasn't why Russ did not pursue the nearly guaranteed punishment the lad deserved. To this day Russ could only call it a "feeling he had", and because of this "feeling", Russ made a deal with Tex. No punishment for the lad if he were to join the Guards and serve a year under Russ. Tex has now served three years with the GrandeCastrum Guards and it does not look like he plans on leaving anytime soon.

Weapons/Catalysts:Russ has a huge Double Edged Axe, It can cut through metal like cheese. The trade off is it needs sharpening every day. This massive weapon is surprisingly light in Russ's hands.

Catalysts:Russ has a green gem on his chest armor, if he is hurt in battle he can touch the blood from his wound and then put his blood soaked hand on the gem to give himself more energy to continue battle. It would be as if he had rested a day-That's the power of the gem.
Squire personal Weapons:Daggers, daggers all over his person. He uses them in close quarters as well as from afar.

Anything Noteworthy:Tex is great at juggling.
@iHxzardxBumping the thread for you. :)
@NevixDon't worry about it. School is very important and getting well is the #1 priority.

Creature A feathered Serpent based off of the Q'uq'umatz. It can fly and has some power over wind creating gale force winds and fairly strong tornadoes.

Ababil: A race of huge birds

Sea Serpent: Lives in large bodies of water and can create whirlpools simply by swimming at high speeds.

Phoenix:Can lift really heavy weights with their talons, their eyes have healing powers and they can be reborn because when they die they turn to ash and are reborn out of those ashes. Phoenix's are very loyal if you can manage to befriend one. Phoenixs are also very rare.

Fire Salamanders:Live near deserts or moutain ranges, very territorial. Touch one and be badly burned or even melted.

Gargoyle:Like a giant bat, except when it is sleeping it is a stone statue. Their size can be smaller or much bigger than the average man. They are very strong and can fly very fast but they hate daylight.

Lobo: A giant wolf with fur similar to ice along its back. They are way bigger than full grown men. Can spit ice and when they howl they can summon a blizzard. They are very aggressive and live normally in mountain ranges.

Scarab:A large dung Beetle. They are always together in huge colonies. Being near a large colony can be dangerous.

Shade(s): The spirit or ghost of a dead person. Sometimes they are helpful. Sometimes they can lead you to disaster. They appear black like a shadow.

Cerberus: A three headed dog, massive in size, can breathe Fire, and are naturally aggressive.

Ent: A tree with a face that can speak. They hate fire. And they can pretend to be an average tree. Sometimes they spook travelers who walk on their land. Their woods. They can also walk, by uprooting themselves out of the ground.

Ok and for colors I'd likethis color for Russ

Raph headed straight out of the classroom as the flashback from earlier bothered him, or pissed him off rather. Why does his voice always pop in my head? This isn't normal, this is crazy... I need fresh air badly.

He stormed out of the classroom and headed straight out of the school for some badly needed fresh air.

He got to the parking lot, and was floored in shock. The hell is this?! I see Erza and some girl who looks like Erza looking like they want to kill some other girl over here and Hank is just video taping this like its some kind of joke...

He walked up to the group put a hand on hank's shoulder, "Hank shut that camera off..."

"Erza chill it."

"Erza clone-you walk away."

"Other girl, you are in the wrong place wrong time, just walk out of here..."

"It's for Research to help me solve the problems, information is power after all." Analiza replied to the first Lady, she was bad with names and couldn't remember her name.

"I hope we won't get lost on the way there," AnaLiza chuckles in a light hearted manner.

@Whitewind Bert let the coin fall on the palm of his left hand, looked at Elise and saw she was was not even looking at him any longer....

Your loss.he muttered in great distaste... Then he saw a great meeting of people towards the other end of the Guild Hall, he stood up and started to approach them leaving his coffee and cards forgotten on the bar's countertop.

@pkken@olcharlieboi@MiaRineLiAce

Before he reached them he caught some words of an interesting quest that Bert must have overlooked before?

"Do you have room for one more?" He said with a broad, friendly smile.

@Gareth I like where its headed but i would rather the Jin just be human. I dont like the multi species and complexity. I just want man to hunt man for the base of survival. Land. We can become diplomats and split the land or we can just eliminate the Jin and take it all for ourselves.... see this RP will come together. we just have to get started. anyone can add to the story I would just like it if no one posted multiple times a row and we all need to choose colors for our main characters and out squires

So there is only humans as sentient races?

I can come up with more ideas like plot based ones...

This whole squire and I guess Champion thing.... Is this based off the knights of the round table?

Where all the knights are good people and have servants or kids really that are their squires. The squires polish the knight's shoes and whatnot.

@Gareth Thank you for adding your thoughts. I think that the IC is fine. Characters are free to explore or create jobs. This allows them to grow their characters at their own speed. It also allows them to pair up with people who post at their speed. I think the OOC should be used for asking questions and posting suggestions. Occasionally I might asks who's where just so that I make sure I haven't lost anyone. I do want to do group things like competitions.

Awesome and I am very happy to note that I have read all the posts in the I.C...

You can expect to see a post from me tomorrow.

@KatherinWinter
Hey Kat, this current layout is gonna cause a lot of problems with people trying to get involved. Already it's hard to see who is floating in the tavern.

I propose a second thread for the out bound adventures. Current one stays in place for all events that happen within the tavern.
The IC and OOC can be two different adventure paths and I would like to use the CHAR tab to keep a tally of how much money people have earnt from jobs, and make a shop where they can spend it.

Thoughts???

(I'll just write Gareth to be clear its my thoughts between these quotes.)
Gareth: I don't think a second thread is worth it and I'll explain why. This website is huge, It already has a ton of threads, and often times I forget to check my notifications and if I have no notificatins it takes me a while to find the thread I want on the webpage.

So it would take more time to navigate the website for 1 story. The reason for the 2nd thread because people are posting a bunch of story stuff where the story stuff belongs... That is what is supposed to happen.

Nothing wrong with adding even more story stuff inside I.C. and it doesn't matter if its 2 people going on an adventure-let it be with the rest of the I.C. stuff.

If people are worried about finding the other posts inside the I.C. (I'm not by the way.), all they have to do is spend a little time looking for the posts and copy them into a program like microsoft word and that way from then on they can find all the posts they want right there in the word program.

Cutting corners for people, allows them to be lazy and its bad and its bad for anything really.

@Dark Light I personally would say to just slow your posts, sense sure there is no posting limit, but you still got to think your in a rp with more than one other person, so you need take that in consideration with how fast you post.

Gareth: I think its fine for them to go on their adventure in the I.C. at the rate its going. They are adding to what happens to the story, so we shouldn't restrict them.

@olcharlieboi
We got 8+ characters, say half of them put up two or three posts a day, your still gonna bury the 'once every three days' posters.
Not to mention you could be running four different locations at once.

I'm here to build characters and stories, I'll wait for those I'm interacting with but not the people who drop one post and forget about it.

To me this thread looks like it's loosely GM'd and it's up to the players to get what they want out of it.

If no one else wants to make their own story that's fine, alternatively I don't mind moving my interactions to private posts but that kinda leaves everyone else out of the loop.

As I mentioned in the OOC I'm happy to bring in and involve more ppl into my jobs.

Gareth: Ok, I'll say I haven't forgotten this roleplay. I've seen the posts and to be quite honest I didn't want to read all the I.C. posts right away. Actually I still have to catch up on them and I'll try to do that before work today.

Also I like what you said, and its so true: "and it's up to the players to get what they want out of it."

@Dark Light That is an interesting thought. I can see how it could be helpful.

Anyone else have an opinion on this idea?

@Rusalka Appproved

@Dark Light I can sure your concern. I would encourage you to use the mention buttons to make sure that you don't lose those you are interacting with. I have run many large groups before but this is my first adventure with multiple locations. I am always open to suggestions. I do have some ideas I would like to do as a group.

My suggestion is to let things remain the same and carry on the story as is. It is up to the people themselves if they want to post and what they want to add. If they want to post they will. If they want to add to what is going on they will.

@KatherinWinter
even though it's interesting idea I don't think using the OOC for more rping when it's suppose to be where we can talk out of the roleplay to discuss things. is such a good idea. sense just cutting out where we can all discuss as a group, not to mention where people post their character sheets waiting to be approved.

If made a separate forum for specific adventures, there is the chance that one or the other will get knocked behind a few pages of roleplays, among other things. but guess that part is up to you, I just suggest leaving stuff like OOC and CHAR as is sense they are serving their intended means. if going to make the main rp the guild, then it might as well just be the entire town, everyone can keep track of their own money earned.

I agree with this :)
