Current Just wanna make a quick announcement for whoever cares: [@Crab Bane] and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn't a bad break-up, at least not for me, but I hope him and I can stay on good terms.

New Guardian looks much better, thank you.

@JamesMuddy

Guardian looks alright, but the LP requirement needs to be more specific than just "lower than your opponent's". Other than that, good stuff.

@Darkmoon Angel

Looks good to me! I love how you added in a Fortune Fairy as well as a Lady, and made them both Pendulums so they could summon other Fortune Fairies/Ladies.

One problem I noticed, though:

They're Fortune SCALE monsters, not their respective Fairy/Lady counterparts. Because of the name schema you used, they unfortunately(pun not intended) won't get supported by their intended archetype. At least, as far as I'm aware.

@Alternax

Welcome aboard, dood! @Alder is also playing HEROes, iirc. Maybe your characters could be buds?

@Ryougu

Well, due to my own sheer stupidity earlier today(as well as my crappy 8-ish year old laptop), I'll probably have the OoC up on Thursday or Friday.

Here's some quick lore to tie you guys over, though:

Long ago, in the days of Ancient Egypt, three divine beasts known as the Egyptian Gods were revered as deities, both malevolent and benevolent, and as the strongest monsters imaginable in what was known as a "Shadow Game". These "Shadow Games" would later become what we know in the modern day as the card game "Duel Monsters", which was originally adapted from the aforementioned "Shadow Games" by Maximilian Pegasus, the founder of Industrial Illusions. Industrial Illusions was the company responsible for creating most of the Duel Monsters cards we know today.

However, in some records pertaining to the Shadow Games, there were mentions of players who would be saved from the brink of death by a powerful monster only they had access to. These monsters are referred to in modern times as "Guardians", in reference to their guardian angel-esque behavior. These "Guardians" were unique in that some of them were as weak as an average 3rd Level monster, while others had power to rival even the Egyptian Gods.

Supposedly Guardians could also be passed down from parent-to-parent, with some Guardians being all but lost with no lineage to follow. As a result, Guardians have become less common than in the times of Ancient Egypt, with bloody wars and general premature death killing off those under their protection. There is still a large amount of people under the protection of their own Guardian, however, mostly due to the immense size of the human population.

One particular individual under a Guardian's protection has issued a digital invitation for a Duel Monsters tournament, the recipients of which being under the watch of Guardians. The tournament is to be held on a remote island to the far south of Japan, with the recipients due to be escorted there via airplane.

The tournament organizer, a woman referred to in the e-mail as "Ryuko Tsukinazo", must be quite the wealthy individual to be able to make all the arrangements necessary for the tournament. Her intentions weren't clearly stated, but if it's just a card game tournament, it can't be too dangerous, can it? Plus, there's a hefty 1 million dollar reward for the overall winner. Anyone with half a brain would be silly to not take up the offer.

Sorry for any grammatical hiccups in there, I'm honestly pretty shoddy when it comes to explaining/describing things.
After killing Clyde, attempt to beat the scorpions to death with his corpse.
@GarlandDaHero
Is this acceptable as a guardian?

Looks okay to me.

Also, to answer your question, Extra Deck monsters go to the Extra Monster Zone if they're summoned through their respective summoning method or a card that treats a Special Summon as an Extra Deck summon. In all other cases, they go to the Main Monster Zone.

@Ryougu
Just be careful dueling me half my cards give extra deck monsters a giant pain in the rear. :P

Keep in mind that I WILL be using the banlist, so you can't use stuff like Djinn Releaser of Rituals unless they're not on the list.

@AdmrlStalfos19

Yeah that looks WAY too strong. I suggest changing the anti-leave-the-field effect to just protecting it from being targeted and/or destroyed by card effects, as well as reducing the ATK to 3500 or so and the DEF to 0, just for the Zombie-Type flavor.
@Killfang96

Exactly why I asked.
Might I suggest leaving players the option to script their duels if both parties agree to it? I do the same thing in my RP: If both players agree to script their duel, I see no harm in allowing them. I prefer to RNG too, but it's nice to have the option.

That's actually a really damn good idea. I'll use that, thanks. :3

@Killfang96

Could you give some examples, please? If you'd prefer to send it in a PM, that'd be fine.
@Killfang96

Yep. You can use generic monsters that don't directly support a different archetype.

@Ryougu

Oh, you mean as a form of character development? Go nuts then, dood.

@Ammokkx

Welcome aboard dood. :3

I'll probably go for RNG, aka what you're doing in your RP, iirc. @Raddum gave some solid reasons, iirc.

It depends on the card. If the VG card is more balanced/conveniently simplified(which they usually are), I'll go for the VG card.

If the anime version is more balanced/simplified and/or has its own archetype, the anime version will be picked.

So for example, Scab Scar-Knight's anime version will be used.

Also, looks like someone's intent on running Infernities.
@Ryougu

I mean, she has green hair, so it works.

There's a reason I chose who I did, don't worry. Her Guardian will probably explain a lot once the story gets to that point.

By rotation, you don't mean having multiple decks, do you? 'Cause I'll allow that for Turbo (and, if I decide to include them, Action) Duels, but not otherwise.

If you mean a mash-up deck though, go nuts.
@Ryougu

The tribute is not in addition and would be replaced by the banishing, but the Raidraptors on field would be an additional requirement. Pretty sure I can explain this better, but oh well.

@Killfang96

Change that last effect to Spell and Trap cards that are already face-up on the field and it should be fine.

And with that out of the way, I'd like to come out and say that the OoC and character sign-ups likely won't be up today.

However, I do have this to hopefully tie you guys over until I get around to making the thread:

Bump.
@Ryougu

Hm. I'd say having 2 or more Raidraptors on your side of the field and/or tributing 1 of them would be fair, since it's not a super strong card and would still allow for some Xyz Summons.
