Kishimoto isn’t bad with romance, he’s inconsistent with romance. As Buddha said before the epilogue of Naruto feels (and probably is) an afterthought on Kishimoto’s side of things and I happen to agree. There were only a few romances he was consistent throughout the series and it seems outside of Shikamaru and Temari none of them are really… relevant going forward into Series III.

It’s really frustrating because there were a lot of great hints of relationship development for Kishi to only throw it away in the end.
Boopboop!

Been so worn out lately @_@

Yaoi does that to a person!
I’m working on my post right now, just so you know.
Ayyyy.

Sucks about your PC, Sho. How much money have you saved up for a tangible replacement?

“Sorry guys got a bit sidetracked today, sometimes my memory refuses to work when I want it too, but it wasn't like I was gonna slack off or anything 'cause it has been a busy week and I thought I could get a bit of rest today, but still if somethin's gotta be done I'm all ears! I'll say that I'm just about ready for anything 'cause I can't exactly remember why we're all supposed to be here!”
Gushiken Kohaku

Sidetracked?

The words coming from Kohaku’s lips were frustrating to hear and had it not been for Inori’s relatively distracted state of mind she would’ve been furious with the kunoichi. She could barely tolerate Haitani’s idiocy so she really didn’t need another thing to be irked by, especially given present circumstances. Between Haitani’s attempt to fluster her with a flirtatious comparison between her and Kohaku, the immediacy of them getting started on their assignment, and the fact she had been tossed into a pond when she was caught off guard during a redundant exercise— there were a good number of things on Inori’s mind.

The blonde-haired kunoichi crossed her arms in a huff, eyeing over both of the two other members of her squad who had arrived at the training field approximately at the same time. Inori ran her tongue against one of her canine’s as a light, annoyed breath left her lips as she looked to Kohaku.

“I guess it would be easy for you to forget that this is the day of our assignment while they figure out what to do with us following the loss of sensei. If you ask me it’s just busy work— but it’s still important enough to remember it!”

The higher ups in Konohagakure didn’t want the students of Senju Madarame to get antsy following his passing, a sentiment that was expressively made clear when they spoke to Haitani some several days ago following the funeral service of their former sensei and group leader that had molded herself, Haitani, and Kohaku as a team since their graduation from the academy. Inori thought back to Madarame’s mannerisms since they had met him unsure why she hadn’t noticed that he had been sick the whole time. It was so bizarre to lose him after they all had gone through the winter with little issue. Perhaps it spoke to the fatality of disease and that not all shinobi left this world with a kunai in their heart.

Inori looked toward the member of their group she had the least amount of familiarity with— Izo Moroku. A shinobi sent over to Konohagakure as a show of good faith and in harsher times would be their enemy more than their ally; a fact that was always present on Inori’s mind since she met him and one reason she felt legitimized her instinct of not trusting him. She wondered if those instincts she had would ever change.

She turned her head back towards Haitani, “Haitani, do you think we can get on track now?”

I have no idea what you are on about, dude.
You guys move so fast.
I agree with DS on any discussion about the movie.

I will be posting soon. Probably Saturday.
Yeah, ROOT was a secret society that happened to have some ANBU members in it.
Not all ANBU are Jounin. Or at least I didn't think they were. They were just random shinobi that had covert skills that written under classified missions, I would think they have the same ranks as the others. I could be wrong, A chunin in the ANBU would just be a Chunin. Sort of what Sai was in Naruto.

Generally ANBU was its own rank that was neither chunin or jonin, but it can be presumed that they were typically enlisted from jonin-level individuals as they are the elite task force of every ninja village. Itachi and Kakashi-types were very uncommon.
