D&D 5e - High Seas and Tall Tales

The blonde may have been a little overconfident in moving to the fray. With her cloak that projected another image of her, and a shield, she thought she that she would have been able to avoid the tentacles. Sadly, that was not the case. She found herself in the tentacle's grasp. Just when she thought she was going to be devoured alive, the tentacle seemed to stop and twitch. She took the opportunity to pull herself out of the tentacle. She looked to the side, and noticed that the aasimar was in terrible shape. Considering the beast wasn't moving, she figured that nobody really needed her to help them out. So, the best she could do for now, was give him one of her healing potions.

She took the flask off of her belt, and pulled it out from under her cloak. She handed it to him saying, "Here. You look like you need this more than I do right now!"

She then moved back to swim adjacent to the beholder. Unless she could find a weakness or somehow use the environment around her to fight back, she wasn't sure what else she could do to help. Her staff was probably not going to help against that automaton. She wanted to be of help right, especially since they just got her out of that prison. For now, she needed her cloak to get itself working again. Now would be a terrible time to get careless.

Mechanics

Alexis uses her action to get out of the grapple, and she uses a free action to give Noriam a Potion of Healing. She moves to position herself adjacent to Dyn'yer'zhead (I swear I know this is a pun, but my dumb brain is not getting it right now DX)

@rush99999 Distance and the trees. Plus, from where you are and with your roll, the light is really faint, so you could miss it.

@rush99999 From what you could guess, it's far enough to be shrouded in the dark of the night, and yet, it's close enough for a whistle to be heard. However, you don't have a really good grasp of what the measurement would be.
You can follow the drunken bear that just rampaged off in the direction though.

@ihinka You have a pretty good idea. The Captain is at least 100 feet away from you considering you just lost sight of him and it’s now difficult to fire crossbow bolts at him from your position next to Warren.

You can follow the drunken bear pretty easily.
