Sylvia noticed the sigh, and she apologized to him, "Sorry Buddy," She then turned her attention back to Pylia and Shortfang as the both of them studied the claw. In the end, it was Shortfang who figured out what kind of monster they were dealing with. She looked to Pylia with a raised eyebrow while Shortfang protested. She reasonably answered both, "I understand where your concern is coming from, Pylia, but we can't just leave things as they are right now,"

She looked at Shortfang and continued her answer, "We are going to help the kobolds any way we can,"

She then suggested, "Let's figure out what's happening first, and then we can figure out what to do. If we can't do anything else or if the odds are against us, we can at the very least try and get the Sewer Dragons to a safer place,"
Sylvia took in the information she saw and what Shortfang and Pylia found. After they gave their information, Sylvia pointed out the severed claw, and she told the others, "I think our kobold over there managed to get a good hit in. I don't think this is his claw. Do you guys recognize what this claw belonged to?"

After the warning about monsters ahead, Sylvia answered her friends quietly, "Let's see if we can get the advantage of a sneak attack," She looked to Buddy and she told him, "Looks like you'll have to hang back again Bud," She then asked Shortfang, "Think Syfr can get a good look ahead Shortfang?"
Just looked at my character sheet, and I just realized I do not have proficiency in Survival. So my roll is actually a 22.

Sorry for my mistake. ^^"
Sylvia didn't like being down here. She felt light headed and she was fighting the urge to throw up. She ducked a little as they made their way through the main sewage system. When they came across the dead kobold, Sylvia couldn't help but gasp at the sight. To see a body torn up like this along with the stench made Sylvia feel even more sick. When Shortfang asked for their help to find who did this, Sylvia nodded and answered "Yeah, we'll help," She then looked to the corpse and looked at the body for any clues.

Sylvia silently swore at the fact that they did indeed live in the sewers, but that sentiment went away at the mention that Shortfang's mom is a Sewer Dragon. So they were going to visit Shortfang's mom. She answered his comment smiling, "Really? Oh wow! So we'll be visiting your mom. I bet she'll be happy to see you again,"

Sylvia couldn't imagine any mother not being happy to see her child again.

She followed the others to the waterfront area. She wrinkled her nose at the smell of the sewage and how it was dumped into the ocean. That probably wasn't good for the ocean. Soon enough, Shortfang pointed out the sign for the Sewer Dragons. She accepted the cloth and she answered Pylia, "Thank you. We should probably hurry if it won't last long,"

She then headed down into the sewers. Once reaching there, she'll have the lantern lit and lighting the way.
An old friend...A new enemy...

That didn't sound good. At all.

So it wasn't a monster that Pylia ran into. It was someone. But who was that person? Maybe it was an old friend of hers? Even so...the fact that the doll proclaimed this person to be an enemy had Sylvia nervous. What in the world did the future hold? Would Pylia even tell her if she pried further...?

Sylvia made a mental note to talk about this with Buddy later tonight. Maybe she can ask the doll about this new enemy tomorrow?

After getting her answer, Sylvia put the doll away in the closet for safe keeping. After making sure that everything was locked and secure, she headed out to meet up with her friends, with her adventuring items in tow. She was ready to face the bad part of Gransys and find the Sewer Dragons.

She just hoped they didn't actually hide in the sewers.
Sylvia answered Pylia and Shortfang, "You guys go ahead, I'll catch up," She then tugged at her sleeve of her dress as though to say she still needed to change. After the three were out of the room, she proceeded to change out of her dress and into her first set of clothes from the cave. She kept the medallion around her neck, hidden under her shirt. This was something she wanted to know where it was at all times.

After changing she sorted through her items and put them away in the closet as well. She only took fifty gold pieces of her funds with her, while leaving the rest hidden in the room (including the platinum pieces). She looked at her magic items and realized most of them didn't look spectacular nor worthy of stealing. The rings would remain on her fingers. She looked at the acorn and feather charm, deciding to keep it with her since she still wanted to know if this was enchanted or not.

Then there was the oracle doll...

While she was alone she decided to take the chance and whispered a question to the doll, thinking that Pylia wasn't going to tell her the truth if she asked her the third time,

"What did Pylia encounter while she was away from the camp last night?"
Sylvia nodded in response to Shortfang and answered, "It shouldn't be a problem. We can use a lantern or a torch to light the way. Unless...we need another way to see in the dark?" She wasn't sure if it would be considered as rude if they brought a light to a dark place if the kobolds preferred darkness.

She also noted, "If we're going into the bad part of town, then I might need to switch out of these clothes and put some stuff away before we head out," She'd rather be safe than sorry. She had a feeling her dress would put a target on her. She could switch to the other pair of clothes she got from the cave she woke up in.

Ripley kept on screaming until she felt hands on her shoulder. She wanted to shrug them, and swat them off, but then the girl's words caught her attention. She shakily answered the girl's statement, "A nightmare...Yes! Yes, this has to be a nightmare! I just have to wake up!" She then tried pinching herself with her sharp nails. But she only found that it was painful, and she was still here. Ripley desperately resorted to slapping herself.

With each slap across her own face she shouted each word, "Come! ON! Wake! UP!"

However, she never did wake up. Instead, it seemed like with each slap, she realized more and more that whatever was happening right now was reality. With red hand prints on her cheeks, she looked at the woman in front of her once more as her hands landed on her shoulder and she directed her to take deep breaths. Ripley found herself following her directions, breathing deeply and watching the bubbles rise...

This was happening...
This was actually happening...
She could feel herself breathe in the water as though it was simply air, only heavier.

She looked back at the woman as she asked her question, and she answered "Ripley. Ripley Jones. And I'm not part of a clan,"

The other mermaid would feel her tremble as she asked out loud, "What the hell...? What happened to my legs...? How the hell did I get a fish tail?! How did this happen?!"

Zack nodded in response to Brendan's advice, and he answered "Thanks man. We'll be sure to do so if we can't find her," He then hurried off to help Richard find Ripley. He did take Brendan's advice and asked Guest Services on the lower floor to be on the lookout for her if she comes back to the hotel. After that, he and Richard searched throughout the small town on Makai Island. Richard searched the beaches first while Zack retraced footsteps and went back to the bar to see if anyone had seen Ripley leave. Both had no luck.

In the end, neither could find Ripley and Zack finally tries calling her cell phone.

While Brendan rests at the slice of beach only he knew about, he would hear the sound of something landing in the sand. When he looks over he would see a book. Another object lands near that book, and it's a phone with a teal rubber phone case. He would hear the sound of an elderly man talking to himself, laughing,

"Ho ho ho Boy! Here we go!"

An old man with wild tangled hair, rags for clothes, and clearly in need of a shower or bath, was rifling through a purse until he pulled out a wallet. He pulled out some cash and counted "Five...Ten...Fifteen...Twenty Dollars! Looks like Gil's gonna eat today!"

As he's rifling, the phone near Brendan would ring a melodic ringtone, and the face and name of Zack Greene pops up on the screen as it's ringing.
