As I'm working on my next post for Loch, I looked over the list of mascots, among all these horned animals, no dragons :'(

I'm very sad. I do not know how I will recover.

Nibs' Cave

Nibs does indeed pale and grows stiff with fear. He never noticed Brutrumukk taking the gold coins from the nearby pile and stuffing them into his pouch. After Brutrumukk spoke in a normal voice and made his request, Nibs sobs loudly as tears fell down his cheeks. He grabs another handful of gold and knits the transformed thread into the very requested weapon.

After the weapon is completed, with the silver metal having a gold sheen in the light, Nibs does his best to hold it. But it is heavy for his frail hands.

He hands the weapon to Brutrumukk as he cries fearfully, "Here! Take it!"

The Intimidation just hit the DC. Brutrumukk now has a Morningstar of Warning as his gift from Nibs.

Sounds good to me, though I should note that kleptomania isn't one of his flaws. His flaws are actually cowardice in the face of defeat, a weakness for vices of the city (especially alcohol), and the fact that he considers being a gnome to be a fate worse than death.

Ah, but money, AKA gold coins, are part of the vices of the city. More gold means more vices.

Plus, Brutrumukk has shown that he is pretty greedy. He's hoarded a lot of items he came across or received, and still has them if they weren't stolen by Agdon or lost them to the bottom of Downfall's Lake.

Not to mention his reaction when first seeing the gold in the cave.
