I'm going to aim for the interest of about five/six people before I post the OOC, which I shall mention is being worked on constantly in my own little testing thread. I'm ironing out what information needs to be there and what doesn't.

P R O L O G U E
The year is 2021, the downfall of humanity is at our doorstep and scientists around the world clamor every day attempting to undo the destruction we ourselves have wreaked upon our own home. While hardships like poverty and world hunger are still very apparent, the forces of the world instead press their resources into more devastating matters like rising sea levels and ever increasing temperatures every year. Many small island countries have had to completely evacuate their populations and migrate to the larger landmasses causing already bursting areas to deal with overpopulation leading to rising crime-rates on a global scale. Soon many smaller governments began to break down and be consumed by larger countries, others were destroyed from within altogether.

It had literally become H E L L on Earth.

In our darkest moment, the powers of the world began to shift into places it had not for centuries. The Catholic Church reached out its hand to the impoverished and weak, offering them salvation from the world in exchange for their faith. It had become known as The Second Great Awakening and the drastic increase of religious sects around the world skyrocketed within a matter of months. It wasn't long until the church had completely consumed Italy, and their influence spread throughout the Europe completely overtaking many of it's smaller countries and territories sparing only France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The religious superpower of the Catholic Church would soon grow enough presence and capital to place their fingers in the decision making of the crumbling world, and it was the Pope himself that pressed forward a single idea. And that idea is the true beginning of our story.

T H E P R O M I S E D C H I L D R E N P R O J E C T
Funded collaboratively by a number of country's governments this project was originally intended to create a number of humans that could withstand the rapidly changing world. They were meant to be stronger, smarter, better than us in every way, and with their survival they would be able to carry on the human race when the world was returned to ashes. Geneticists hand selected from around the world worked around the clock to make these perfect test-tube babies. Within a little less than a year the creations of their hard work would come to fruition, twelve specimens in their original run, but more would later be created.

As the presence of the Catholic Church grew more and more over time the amount of radicalized fanatics also seemed to increase in high-population areas. In the United State's in particular, the hands of the church seemed to have more pull over the people than their own government. This was seen as a threat by the establishment that maintained order there and thus more laws and regulation specifically targeted towards these people began to take form, and eventually they would cut all ties to the religious faction and even removed all funding to the Promised Children Project. A few other countries would follow suit with the U.S pulling out of the project many of which also had distaste for the growing power of the church, and this schism of the powers throughout the world was simplified simply. Those whom placed their faith in the Promised Children, and those whom wished to put efforts into salvaging what they could from the Earth or creating survivable conditions in some fashion.

Regardless of this, the project would continue without their support.

T h e R o l e p l a y

T h e P l a y e r s
You will be taking on the role of one of the P ro m i sed Ch ild ren, and their struggle to survive in a world where they are viewed as monsters by the general population. The story takes place in a world much like our own but on the brink of breakdown due to the reasons stated above. Promise Children are not identified by names or titles but simply by a N U M B E R that distinguishes their turn in creation alongside their brothers and sisters. There are four things that distinguish them from other humans; the first is that they do not require food, water, or sleep for survival and can operate for many days at a time without rest. The second is that they are much younger than they physically appear to be, though this is difficult to discern as they are incredibly intelligent for the short period of time they have been alive. Third and the most easily detected is that the Promised Children have abilities that the church calls M I R A C L E S, these unbelievable feats differ from one subject to another but they range from rapid cellular regeneration to super-strength. The last is that upon awakening their abilities they will begin to feel hunger, this hunger cannot be satiated by anything other than human flesh and blood. These creatures aren't inherently evil but they do have a strong sense of self-preservation and the morals of how they do this will skew from one Number to another. While many of numbers have been distributed to different countries that assisted in their creation, some have escaped their handlers and are on the loose to survive on their own. Whether you wish to be under the control of a government or free to explore the world is up to the player, but one thing must be shared among all players. All of the numbers have an overbearing drive to reconnect with their brothers and sisters.

^{The Demon Slaying Corps have accomplished their mission, Kibutsuji Muzan has been destroyed and the demons that remain throughout Japan are beginning to run thin. The age of Demons fearing Humans is over, and now the only thing left to do is to purge Japan of those that remain.
Or so you would think.
It is the dawn of the Shōwa period and with imperialism on the upswing the emperor has caught wind of the secret organization and wishes to assimilate them into the Imperial Japanese Army. The Ubuyashiki Family wishes to retain the tradition of being independent of military control. Not only this, but a schism itself has formed within the Demon Slaying Corps itself. While there are many who with lasting grudges against demons for slaughtering their families and loves ones, there are some who believe that there may be a possibility that some of the remaining demons may not need to be slain. This divide within the corps has caused a schism between those who wish to fully eradicate the demons from this world, and those who wish to allow non-malevolent demons to live out the rest of their long-long life.}

Prologue

<sup>”Execute it! I don’t care if he was licking boots on the curbside, he’s a damned demon! Let his blood soak the earth, and his ashes to wind.” The Pillar of Storms spat in disgust as loomed above a young kneeling figures, face planted to the floor mats below.

“But sir, he was serving the family of his own accord. We still don’t know how he isn’t starved, but if what they say is true, he hasn’t killed a single person.” The brown-haired pupil sat next to the kneeling figure, looking up to his towering superior with concern.

“Get out of my sight. And take this thing with you, if I have to the look at it any longer I might end up beheading it on accident.” The eldest Pillar grunted in response, making carefully sure not to meet eyes with his student nor the demon at his feet.

“Y-yes sir!” The boy bowed to the Pillar and glanced towards the demon with sunken eyes, momentary sorrow, he had tried his best to spare its life. Things were out of his hands now, and as the student turned he would tug at the rope that held this demon’s bindings. As the pull woke the demon from his disassociation, he too stood, though his body remained low as if cowering in the large elderly man’s presence. That silver-gold saya had many stories about it, stories that made demons cower in fear, and he remembered them well. The demon boy’s eyes stuck to the ground and he quickly was led out of the temple by the Storm Pillar’s student.

The two slowly made their way further and further from that terrible place, the student visibly seeming to feel more at ease as distance was drawn. “I’m sorry that you had to deal with that.” The demon quietly muttered, sights still aimed straight down as he was led by brown-hair.

“Don’t mind him, he’s always that way. I’m more concerned with you. If we can’t get any of the Pillars to to advocate for you, the execution will probably be tomorrow.” the student seemed a bit frantic with his words, he had been one of the few who had seen with his own eyes that demons were not all evil.

“At least it will be quick. I’ve heard that some have been hunted down and killed for sport. I’d rather have a nice clean execution, perhaps it’ll even be peaceful.” he smirked, sharpened teeth peeking from his lips for a brief moment.

But they had almost reached the location of the next pillar they would seek favor from. But as they reached the monolith of a wooden structure with enormous koi ponds at its entrance, the two would soon realize they had been surrounded by cowled figures with katana drawn at the ready. This was it, a nameless student of the Storm Pillar and a demon who tries to live in peace with humans, slain at the doorstep of the Pillar or Rivers</sup>

The Demon Slaying Corps : 鬼き殺さつ隊たい

^{The name of an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicated to protecting humanity from Demons. There are hundreds of Demon Slayers within the organization and have as of yet been recognized by the government of Japan, but steps are being taken to change this. Demon Slayers are primarily hand-selected by a master who is currently enlisted, or was prior enlisted in the Corps, however there are instances of those who hail from families that served the organization over several generations being brought upon Final Selection nonetheless. Upon the completion of Final Selection, a student is brought to the summit of Fujikasane where they choose the ore used to create their Nichirin Sword and are gifted a Kasugai Crow. Their prime directive was previously to seek out and destroy Kibutsuji Muzan, but after his downfall at the hands of one of the Pillars the goal of the organization seems to be vague at this point.}

The Imperial Japanese Army : 大日本帝國陸軍

^{With the growing movement of Ultra-Nationalism in Japan the people would transition away from the artistic free-thinking of past eras instead local leaders, such as mayors, teachers, and Shinto priests were recruited by the various movements to indoctrinate the populace under these ideals. They had little time for the pragmatic ideas of the business elite and party politicians. Their loyalty was practically to the Emperor and the military. With this harsh and hardened political state the militarism of the country would have it's own renaissance as soon-near wars would witness the newfound strength of a unified Japan. The spread of military presence can be felt throughout all of Japan, and would-be prospects for the Demon Slaying Corps have even been poached from their masters for the war machine themselves.}

Shingetsu : 新月

^{To counteract the continued state of animosity towards demons within Japan, an organization known as Shingetsu has emerged out of the darkness to protect demons deemed innocent from harm. The members of this group are both human and demon and range from the power of a Mizunoto all the way up to that of a Pillar. While Shingetsu's existence is known both to the Demon Slaying Corps and the upper echelons of the Japanese Imperial Army, the members of this organization have kept their identities safely hidden. It is believed even by the current Ubuyashiki that leads the Demon Slaying Corps that one, if not multiple pillars may be a part of this group without his knowledge. Because of this knowledge being readily known within the Corps there is a constant air of distrust between comrades all the way up the ranks even to the Pillars themselves, unknowing of who was a traitor, and who would live up to the symbol painted upon their back. “Destroy.”}

Her combat attire is typically that of a showy military uniform with a skirt in tune, though, when more specialized work is required of her a black bodysuit is worn instead.

Backstory:
Cheyenne was born to a very traditional Native American family living the holistic life in the northwestern United States. Her mother carried the financial weight by selling homemade elixirs, salves, and other remedies that could be made with the culture's knowledge. Her father on the other hand continued the family heritage of maintaining ceremonies, keeping records of the tribe's history, and performing the rites for others within the tribe. Cheyenne lived a relatively normal life during her younger years. She went to school with others in her tribe, had sleepovers, fawned over boys, nothing unusual until her twelfth birthday and her own rite of ceremony was performed.

She had been born with deep brown eyes like her mother and father, but since her birth they had gradually lightened further and further until reaching a vibrant gold color. This was a sign of greatness within her tribe, a sign that she was not meant to live a normal life like many others. As Dakota Deer blood was drawn across her cheeks her eyes flashed crimson as her ceremony began to end, and Cheyenne fell to ground in a psychological fit of fear and horror. Clenching her hands to fists and curling into a ball at her father's feet, he stood and watched though his expression showed a subtle pride. Others at the ceremony stared in shock, unknowing as to if the girl was having a seizure or some form of episode. But it was nothing of the sort, it was a transformation that the Dakota Chief had only read about. She was chosen by the Earthmother, and her life would no longer be her own.

After this day she lived a life of conditioning, physically and mentally, her father could only prepare her so much. It was difficult for Cheyenne to find her sense of self, many of the thought in her own head were not her own. There was hundred-thousands of voices all speaking their own feelings to her, pulling her in every different direction, just who were they and why did she hear them? Her father took her one day to a plateau of great spiritual importance to her people, it had changed very much over the years but still buried beneath were many warriors who had fallen in days past. It was here that that she sipped spirit water and met the being that dwelled within her, which simply called itself the Sioux. It addressed itself as the Daughter of the Earth, The First Spirit, and the Primal God. Speaking with the entity enlightened Cheyenne greatly, as it spoke of the history of her people, their original reason for fighting, the purpose of its existence, along with many-many other things. And after the meeting was nearly over, the entity gifted the girl with a mission "Protect the earth. Destroy those who hurt her. Do so in my name."

Years of training had altered the girl, she was no longer any degree the same girl as before. Her purpose clouded her sense of self for a long time, but with seasoning she eventually overcame the burden of carrying the gift younger than any warrior before her. At the age of sixteen her transformation had been complete, she had become the messenger of destruction sent unto us by the earth herself.

Abilities:
• Eyes of the Spirit Warrior •
Countless years of knowledge and battle experience are passed down to the Sioux who inherits these eyes, but not only that, the will of their ancestors as well pressed the inheritors mind constantly. This presence can cause the Sioux to go mad at any point, losing themselves in the ocean of voices that floods their thoughts. But should they be able to overcome this with a hardened mind they’d be able master the eyes to their fullest potential. The Eyes of the Spirit Warrior allows its user to tap into the memories of those who came before her and utilize their knowledge instinctively on the battlefield as if it were her own. It is a pseudo-library of tactics, combat techniques, and many other useful bits of knowledge that can be drawn from at a moments notice.

• Gifted Master of Arms •
Supplementary to the eyes, Sioux Warriors were masters of weaponry being able to fully utilize any weapon they could get ahold of. This affinity is passed down with each incarnation, adding more and more knowledge of modern and historical weaponry to the catalog at their disposal. Additionally to this, each incarnation is born with a talent for a specific type of weapon. When utilizing such a weapon that the Sioux has talent for, one of their golden eyes will turn red strengthening their senses to their maximum potential for a short period of time. Lengthening this amount of time is achievable, but ocular damage is caused when pushing the amount of time beyond what the user is capable of.

• Ancestral Guardian •
The Sioux has a stronger affinity with the spirit world than most shaman of their people. Not only this, but because of their predetermined connection with the ancestors the Sioux is capable of directly calling upon them to such a degree that they may manifest in the physical realm. These ancestral spirits take the form of animals with a strong connection to their tribe such as bears or wolves though obviously much stronger than your usual furry creature. These spirits are also capable of using the Eyes of the Spirit Warrior causing them to be venerable adversaries in their own right when fighting alongside the Sioux. However, the true strength is when the guardian spirits endow their blessings upon her granting the Sioux supernatural abilities based on which ancestor(s) at that moment is assisting her.

• Ancient Dakota Bow •
Many of the Sioux tribes were known for their mastery of archery. The warriors would begin training at a young age on horseback, strengthening the bond with their steed and working continuously at mastering their combat. When these warriors reached a certain threshold of skill the tribe's shaman would craft a bow specific to that warrior's strengths and this weapon would be maintained throughout their life. This bond of warrior, bow, and steed is so strong that it carries on into the spirit world where they continue to defend their sacred homeland even after death. The Ancient Dakota Bow is the Sioux's strongest offensive weapon and does not exist in the corporeal world until called upon directly. The bow is created through the shared strength of past warriors uniting against a single threat and offering their arms in defeating such an enemy, the results of which is a taut bow of porcelain-white wood drawn with a glowing crystalline arrow aimed at the opponent. The devastation caused by this arrow would cause even the strongest to tremble, tearing through physical material in its wake effortlessly as it travels at unimaginable speed until the arrowhead reaches the mark. When contact is made with the projectile's arrowhead a large explosion would be caused within the area, though what is more deadly is the piercing power.
