Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Is the rioting and BLM brought up yet?

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Freyja Leden

Freyja could only sigh at the redhead's refusal. She could tell that a hardhead like her wouldn't easily budge if her mind already decided on something.

"We should just let her be for the moment," she said to Alexei. "Let her cool down first before we try to make her patch things up with the boy."

She then approached said boy and saw traces of his blood near his nose. At least he already cleaned up most of the blood, probably using a handkerchief. She would have lent him hers if he hadn't one.

"Are you alright? If you want to, you can come to my office after this and I'll give you some medicine. Just in case if the wound gets infected."

She ended up becoming the institute's sort of nurse when she started studying medicine. She figured she wanted to expand her architect skills to that subject. However, she hadn't really gotten far in the effort as medicines were more complicated than she had expected. Combined with her affinity being in making bombs, not medicines, that step to making her first medicine was still far.

"I suggest you let her be for the moment. Her mind was still angry at the incident and she needed time to cool off. You can try to patch up things with her tomorrow."

Freyja Leden

"That gross pervert tried to hit on me, that's why I did it!" so said the girl.

Freyja wondered if it were really so though, as she looked at the boy and he seemed confused by the whole ordeal. Perhaps this was just a big misunderstanding.

Her thoughts were echoed by an energetic girl who came to the scene, saying exactly that to the redhead. Like her name, she had the aura of a refreshing summer to her. And also of youthful innocence as she seemed quite distraught by the fact that her friends were fighting among one another. No doubt she was the kind of girl who would want to make lots of friends. In some aspects, she was the polar opposite of her pupil Ryuuto, who was always serious and grim. Not that she preferred her over him. She could tell that beneath that hard exterior of him, there lied a boy who wanted approval and companionship. And of course, she would be willing to provide exactly that to him. The girl didn't need her, but Ryuuto certainly did.

Alexei also followed the same train of thought as he asked her to go over to him and cleared up this whole misunderstanding. "Yes, I believe that would be for the best. I also have faith that he didn't mean anything bad in his actions," she added to Alexei's argument.
Metel could only shake her head and sigh at the display of stupidity in front of her. It was almost comical, if not for the fact that she had barely any sense of humor at all. She had always been like this as far as she remembered, even when she was just a little kid.

Oh well, a rowdiness like this was to be expected in an Adventurer's Guild building, even if she didn't like it. No matter where she went, there would always be a loud and rowdy bunch of adventurers at every branch of the guild.

She turned back to the notice board after her concentration was interrupted by the noise they made. Most of the notices seemed to be about monster slaying, something she could do but she didn't really like doing. There was also a notice for the trial of the Hero, but she had no reason to participate. After all, she had no plans to be one. But then, she noticed one of the rewards for the trial; a rare plant that she had never had the opportunity to get her hands upon. She sighed once again. It seemed she had to join after all.

And so she went into the line where the rowdy bunch was. She just hoped that this trial thing would be a solo quest. She wasn't sure if she wanted to cooperate with people like them. She had always been a lone traveller after all.

I imagine my character would be quite pissed if that happens to her. She wears a mini skirt after all. Real dangerous without any panties underneath.

Freyja's attention to Ryuuto was soon interrupted by the booming voice of another of his co-worker, Alexei. As usual, the big man was as energetic and spirited as ever. Looking beside him, she saw the student he was escorting. And to his chagrin, she seemed to be far less enthusiastic than him. She had to stifle a giggle after hearing their argument.

"Good morning to you too, Alexei," she replied to the man. "So far, nothing really major has happened. The students seem to be making merry in knowing each other."

Maxwell stated his disinterest with the new students, just as she had expected from him. The man was too much of a genius to be bothered by the common folk. This was why she herself was quite resigned from asking him for help for her own research. She didn't know what he was researching exactly, but she had the feeling it was something beyond just making bombs.

Daler however, though there was a spark growing in the air. And he was indeed right, as soon after, one girl punched another boy right on his face. He fell down to the ground, nose broken. The girl then shouted about how she would never go out with a pervert like him.

Freyja intended to step in and interrupt them, but that role was taken by Yuki, the newest addition to the teaching staff. She didn't know why he was there however. Could it be that he was pretending to be a student? He certainly could pull it off with his youthful looks.

Daler commented that it was hardly a fight and that he deserved that one. Certainly, the boy was down with just one punch. The girl must be an Augmenter. Somebody must tell her to learn to control her power or else someone will really get hurt one day. As for the latter, she guessed that the boy must have flirted with her. And judging by her reaction, he must have said something quite insulting and dirty. For the boy, he needed someone to tell him how to treat a girl properly. She certainly would've given him an earful if he were to do his tomfoolery in her class.

Alexei walked over there as well, asking the girl why she did it. She decided to approach them as well as she also wanted to know the reason from the person herself.

Ok, I'm writing a post now as well.
Victoria Luxemberg

Victoria was both relieved and disappointed that no monster suddenly popped out from the trees and attacked them on their way to the port town. She thought in a magical fantasy world like this, monsters lied in wait at every corner, just ambushing any adventurers that passed through their territory. Yes, she considered herself and Youmu adventurers now. Eccentric appearance, eccentric powers, and possibly eccentric personalities, as least as far as her own personality was considered; they would make a good pair of adventurers indeed.

The port town was certainly busier than she had expected. She had imagined it to be a smaller port town, not as crowded and busy as this. She looked around as her curiosity overtook her. So many people, and all of them wearing different clothing that she never saw before. So many merchants too, selling both normal things like fishes to magical trinkets and accessories. She only knew they were magical thanks to the loud shouting they made to attract any potential customers.

When she passed through the alley, she felt pity at the poor man. Just like back in her world, not everyone could have a fortunate life, it seemed. She gave him a kind smile and a nod when their eyes met out of respect.

Suddenly, her attention was directed to a loud neighing of a horse. It seemed they had blocked the way of a carriage from passing through. And sure enough, the passenger of said carriage wasn't too happy about that.

Youmu apologized first, though she could sense that she was annoyed at the way that person was talking. Well, she had to agree with her. She felt annoyed too at her rudeness. She felt she was the kind of person who loved to lord her superiority over others.

She called them a foreigner and a noble though. She realized that she was wearing a fancy dress, so that probably made her think she had noble blood. And she certainly looked like someone not from around here also. She wondered if she thought Youmu was her bodyguard, seeing how she was the one with the sword.

"Yes, we apologize. Please pardon us and move on along," she responded with a smile. Here, she used one of the classic tricks she often employed to her naughty students. Her threatening smile. She could keep being polite while egging the opponent on.

I'm definitely liking Aimee's attitude so far!

Another year, another bunch of new students, Freyja thought. Just like last year, the students were gathered first in the grassy field near the institute. Then, they would reveal that the institute was there from the start, right in front of their faces. Awing them with such a display should make them more excited to learn about channeling.

And just like last year, she was there also along with her colleagues. As usual, Daler couldn't be bothered to stay awake like a proper teacher. He just slept there sitting on his golf cart. She knew about his ability however, so he should be gauging the new students in his own way right now.

Her gaze turned to her other co-worker, the doctor, Shin Maxwell. He was escorting one of the new students, it seemed. Coincidentally, she didn't get to do that this year so she merely had to show up to this field after walking from the institute. After shooing the new student away, he approached Mako who was talking with her own set of students. Just like last year, Mako took great interest in the new students as she mingled with them intentionally. She was also escorting her own student, a pale, frail girl who looked like she had been staying inside for too long. Well, she trusted Mako to take care of her well. Even though she could be quite threatening with that ability of hers, she was a kind person inside.

Her eyes then fell to a familiar face. Ryuuto Koriyama. She had been mentoring him for the past two years, making it the third year he was in the institute. Even though he can be quite high-strung at times, he was definitely a good and intelligent kid. She was quite proud of him.

"Ah, Ryuuto, welcome back. How was your holiday?"
