Benji was uncomfortable with the thought of strangers drawing blood and checking him through some kind of data base. He didn’t care for the thought of there being any records of who or what he was even if they were only in the hands of allies, as information like that could always be leaked. He could see the need for it though, if they had a secret base for supernaturals it would be detrimental for an agent of the scientists to infiltrate it. If he resisted it would make him look like he was some sort of supernatural traitor and would likely never find out if this whole supernatural underground. His curiosity was too strong for that to be a viable option, he was going to have to accept this identification check. He rolled up the sleeve of his shirt and waited as they systematically checked the passengers on the pass while jazz played over the radio. A man eventually approached him, scanned him for facial recognition and drew a vial of blood from his outstretched arm.

“Name?” The man asked him in order to label the vial of blood he’d taken from Benji.

“Ben,” He answered, paused for a moment before adding, “Ben Urich.” He wasn’t going to give out his real name or the alias he used to rent his motel room. He was also careful not to use one that could be connected to any crime he had been involved with in case they ran any background checks. He’d never been arrested or charged but he knew a few of his fake names were probably in more than a few police reports as a suspect or person of interest. Since Ben was a fairly common name he always kept the same first name making it easier for him to keep track of his alias.

The man gave him a look that let him know he could clearly tell that Benji had given him a fake name. The man had probably been doing this for a while and Benji had paused for a second to think of the right name to give. The man didn’t press the issue though and simply made some kind of note before moving on. Benji leaned back in his seat and looked out the window trying to figure out where they were headed. He was disappointed when the jazz music suddenly stopped and a strange, bright light lit up the sky. It wasn’t lightening and he figured it must be from whatever was still going on at what used to be a theater. The buses seemed to be headed away from the denser parts of the city, and he hoped out of the city all together. Benji could really use some fresh air and the kind of open space you couldn’t find in a city.
@WickMy character's just paranoid, tends to think worst case scenario, and doesn't really expect humans to be on the supernaturals side. I'm almost positive that Harriet is legit. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
well he'd try and kill a few of them before being murdered and scientists did turn his mother (and probably the rest of his family) into a coat so I'd say he's not fond of them.
Benji was more than a bit surprised to hear the old woman brag about not only being completely human, but the wife to one scientist, and mother to another. The surprise of this made him lose most of his focus towards the rest of the battle. He had mistaken her for a supernatural and she spoke as if she was on their side which made him wonder what her game was. Were these buses leading them to safety, or into the hands, and labs of their enemies? This Supernatural Underground had sounded too good to be true and kindness was the last thing he expected from humans. The man from a few moments ago walked passed him and shot him a smile, a primal and animalistic smile. Benji nodded in respect to man as well as to the primal force he sensed in this stranger.

These buses were quickly filling with other supernaturals and if this was a ruse there was no way to get this many terrified and confused people out of this situation anyway. There was a small chance that these buses really were headed somewhere safe and it was chance he was going to have to take. The battle around him was only getting crazier, the winged woman spouting off about her father, gunshots and beams of energy being shot off and big guy with a lot of power trying to reason with the enemy. More soldiers were bound to show up any minute and Benji wasn’t planning to stick around for that. He boarded one of the buses and hoped they weren’t being driven into some horrible trap, or if this was a trap that he’d get the chance to kill a few of the scientists himself. The more he thought about it he figured getting the chance to kill scientists with his own teeth and claws might even make getting captured and murdered worth it.
@Zhaliora my mistake, I edited demon out.
Are the Slayers more than human like in Buffy or more like hunters from Supernatural?

@Helo
Glad to see you post Helo, and don't worry: All character can have equal influences on a RP, even if they don't fight giant monsters.

Thanks, I guess this moved a lot faster than I had expected, not complaining though. Well he doesn't fight giant monsters yet...you can't start out with a big boss battle when you're just a low level werewolf right

Also sorry if my post seem flat it’s been awhile since I’ve written anything that wasn’t an essay or research paper, so hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the swing of things.
A supernatural underground railroad, now that was a new one. Benji had never seen a collection of supernaturals in such large numbers before, it was strange but comforting to know there were supernaturals who could go toe to toe with the worse their enemies had to offer. His own experience as a supernatural, after the loss of his family, had been very isolated but knowing that his kind was organizing in ways that led to a well matched battle against the scientists and their soldiers gave him hints of hope. He had a slight grin as he watched the theater fall, crushing the scientist’s monster as the remaining supernaturals escaped the falling building.

A frightened looking man jumped on top one of the buses and suggested they all get going. While he nodded in agreement with this guy something about him made Benji feel uneasy, but he couldn’t say why. To be fair to the stranger he also got uneasy feelings around people who owned cats and being around armed soldiers and a horrible shapeshifting monster had already put him on edge to begin with. He didn’t have time to think on his unease though as what looked like some sort of winged creature descended from the sky and ripped an engine from a bus like it was nothing. He instinctively snarled as the woman suggested they all go quietly with the “friendly folks” who wanted to torture, maim, and slaughter them. Non-supernaturals doing the things the scientists did to his kind was bad enough but supernaturals helping these scientists were the lowest creatures on earth as far as he was concerned.

“Pointless fighting? Fighting for our own survival, for the right to not be skinned, mutilated and slaughtered is pointless?” He snarled at the woman his eyes flashing yellow for a second from his rage. The leader of Supernatural Underground argued back with the winged creature before throwing scotch and then a bottle at the, well what he was going to assume was some kind of powerful dark fae. Generally Benji didn’t support the wasting of good or even somewhat palatable scotch but he had to admire the balls on the older woman and he wondered what sort of creature she was to be so fearless in the face of such an adversary. He followed slowly in the direction of a new bus, one that still had an engine, while making sure not to turn his back on the winged woman. He watched for any sudden movements in case she tried to attack those fleeing the mangled bus or the man who had jumped on top the bus. He had passed on a fight before and he didn’t have it in him to pass on another fight but getting all these people out had to be the first priority. It would go smoother if this new advisory, who seemed to dislike fighting, was looking for violence but the primal force that was his wolf ached to be set free.
The sound of a blast caught Benji’s attention, he looked to see a hole had been blasted straight through the back wall of the theater. Only moments later the deafening sound of an explosions sent him staggering with his hands instinctively covering his ears. The already rundown building shook from the force and a sharp ringing persisted in his ears well after the initial sound had gone. Before he had the chance to regain his bearings a fog filled the theater followed by an intense looking monster. Benji had never seen anything like it before, and he’d never seen supernaturals as powerful as the two who were fighting the monster. A part of him wanted to go full wolf and throw himself into the fight but this sort of thing was so far beyond any of his experience. He’d been in plenty of fights with guns, knives, or blunt weapons but monsters that constantly change shape and teams of heavily armed soldiers was way more than he was used to. As much as he hated to admit it, getting involved in that fight would be foolish even by his standards and the two currently engaged in the fight seemed to have it relatively under control.

The theater, which was a wreck before the fighting, looked like it would collapse at any second and Benji didn’t want to be around when it did. He shifted from his partial werewolf back to his human appearance and headed to the back of the theater. The back lot of the theater was occupied by a large bus and a women encouraging anyone looking to escape to hop aboard. He wondered for a second if this could be a trick of the scientists to get their hands on a bus full of supernaturals but it still seemed a better option than a giant horrible monster and over two dozen well-armed soldiers all blatantly trying to kill everyone. “Where’s this bus headed?” He shouted to the woman with the megaphone who seemed to in charge as he helped those who needed it aboard the bus.
Benji walked through the city to acclimate himself to his new environment. He had only been in the city for a couple days and as much as he disliked crowded cities this was a good place to remain unnoticed. The city smelled strongly of pollution and garbage and the people here tended to wear too much perfume and cologne to the point that it was difficult for him to pick out more subtle scents. He’d seen more than a few mice and rats running around the city and the wolf in him wanted to hunt and chase but the thought of ending up with a sewer rat in his mouth was enough to keep control over those instincts.

The hair on the back on his neck began to rise and heart rate quickened, he quickly spotted the nearby danger as ominous black vans pulled up to an abandoned theater. He watched from a short distance as the men from the vans either headed to the back of the theater, set up barricades around the exits or entered into the theater; clearly attempting to capture a large group. He allowed his hatred and anger with the scientists to rise to the surface, pulling the wolf to the surface as well, but stopping at a partial transformation and his pace quickened towards the vans.

He kept to the sides of the vans and was sure to remain out of sight as he used his claws to pierce some of the tires of the vans. At the same time he was trying to decide on the best way to enter the building when exit doors began to blow open. For second he thought about leaving as it looked like they might already have this handled, but the opportunity to fight scientists was too exciting for him leave. He ran towards one of the exits that had blown open and temporarily ignored the commotion going on deeper inside to help those nearby trying to escape before more of the scientist’s team could reseal the exit.
