Logan Rivers

“Nice seeing you again.” Logan said without evening thinking. Shit that sounded so impersonal, like something you’d say to a distant cousin you couldn’t care less about and that was the furthest thing from what Kait had meant to him. It took most of the self-restraint he had not to go after her, but he didn’t want to try force himself back into her life. Anyhow it was clear she wanted to get away from him as quickly as possible and he couldn’t blame her. Here he was, almost thirty, basically broke, moving back to Edenridge to work part-time at a dive bar. He was sure he must look like quite the loser to people he knew from high school, but at least he wasn’t dead or in prison like most of the people he hung around with back then. After Kait was out of sight he headed to the employee room to change into his work shirt and get all his paperwork in order.

“Well,” Shane said as he slapped Logan on the back. “That looked painful and awkward, rough break up?” He asked as Logan emerged from the employee room after having changed into his uniform. He pinned the name tag to his chest and shrugged.

“We never really talked after the shooting.” Logan said, wishing he had gone after Kait as she left or maybe said something more than a cold ‘nice seeing you again’ before she left. Of all the people to run into on his first day back it had to be the one person from back then he really gave a damn about. He hated how he’d dealt with things back then and hated what she must think of him now.

“I remember you guys being pretty hot and heavy back in the day, you guys seemed cold now though.” Shane said as he poured a pitcher of cheap lager for a customer.

“Yeah, I guess ten years turns friends into strangers. She was kind of the last person I expected to see still hanging around the ridge.” Logan said.

“You know I think she’s new back in town. Man, you fucked up big time letting a catch like her get away.” Shane said shaking his head as he showed Logan the ins and outs of the bar. Logan had worked in a few bars and caught on quick.

“Yeah, typical me.” Logan said with a half-hearted chuckle, he had a knack for ruining it anytime he had something worth wile in his life. Doing well in sports: fuck it up with drugs, make some normal non-gang related friends: well also fuck that up with drugs, find a girl he actually cared about: royally screw that up by being a dick, join the army and almost get his life together: run from anything that gets too stable.

“Eh, I’m sure there’s plenty of townie’s willing to comfort a man fresh out of the service.” Shane said with a smirk, getting a laugh out of Logan.

“Well, yeah, it’s the only card this unfortunate looking motherfucker has to play.” Logan joked lightening up the mood. Logan relaxed a bit more, he and Shane got along pretty well he knew him from back in the day although Shane had been a couple years older than him. The job was what he expected and the night went by pretty quickly. After a while he managed to get his mind of Kait, with the help of a few shots of whiskey he and Shane took after the night stated to wind down some.
@Helo When will you be posting?

Sorry my week was just a lot busier than I expected
Enzo gripped tight to the reigns of his mare as she galloped through the forest on their way to Olympus Academy. He thankful to finally be able to ride his horse, it had taken months to even earn enough trust for him to approach her but with time and effort he was able to ride her and to trust her as she trusted him. They were bounded as horse and rider and one day he would have her trained to enough to ride into battle and she would be as ferocious as a descendant of one of the Mares of Diomedes should be, breathing fire and devouring the flesh of his enemies. For now, though his horse, Enyo, would have to settle for raw beef as the school frowned upon feeding mortals to one’s pet.

They headed straight to the stable’s once they arrived at the academy. He had a special fire-proof stable for Enyo away from the other students pegasi and such. Enyo could be dangerous to other pets if she got out so he and school took extra measures to ensure she was secured. Enzo was the only one who could care for his horse as she would attack the school’s stable staff if they got too close. He feed her, made sure she had fresh water, and brushed out her mane. She couldn’t be around other horse or prey type animals as she saw them as food rather than peers and around other predators she usually showed aggression and tried to establish dominance, although occasionally she would befriend one. Last year she had enjoyed the company of another students Griffin.

Once his pet was settled he headed for the courtyard, shaking rain from his hair and lifted his head towards the turbulent sky. He could feel it in the air, their world was on the cusp of war and it was electric. He could sense it all around him, feel it in his blood and bones, conflict and tension building among gods and demigods alike. He was ready for it, for war, and not for some petty little mortal war either, but a war of gods. He his father was more than ready for a real war, it had been ages since there was a battle worthy of the god of war himself and his father’s disdain of Zeus was hardly a secret. His father found the thunder god to be an unfit ruler, thinking not with the head on his shoulders and more concerned with chasing skirts than the state of things on high Olympus. He knew there were many who wanted to keep the peace but Enzo was hoping for all hell to break loose and for the chance for him to truly be a warrior. He paused for a second to calm himself, to settle his lust for blood and keep his rage buried. He kept up the façade of a civilized man as he walked aimlessly though the courtyard.
@Ruby Sorry my weekend ended up being busier than I had planned
Casey sat in an awkward silence for what seemed like an eternity. He has fairly certain he hadn’t said anything overly awkward but the extended silence had him worried. He was relieved when she finally took the pen from him and offered a proper introduction. It was nice to finally know the name of the woman who had saved their collective asses. He noted that she at least seemed interested enough in the lot of them to listen in, at least for a moment, for their meeting in the library, as well as interest enough to remember their names. Another plus was she seemed to have some sense of humor, she’d seemed very intense when they saw her the other night so it was good to see she had a friendlier side to her as well.

“Nice to meet you, Emy.” He said watching her fiddle with the pen and then fill out the worksheet. He noticed the glare of Chad Johnson who seemed pretty peeved that he was currently talking to Emy and Casey took that second to pretend to wind up a jack in the box with one hand before flipping him the bird with the other. Normally he might feel compelled to warn her about Chad but seeing as how she could take out a couple dozen vampires like it was nothing Casey was pretty sure Chad was biting off more than he could ever chew this time.

“Well anyone willing to let me copy some busy work is true hero in my book. I’ve failed this class before, me and that saw over there are old…nemesises… nemesi, I broke it last year. Anyway, I guess we’re all okay, a little banged up but no more than usual. I’m guessing the others don’t see it this way but if it was us they were after, I guess what I’d really feel was proud, means we’re making bigger ripples in this pond than I ever thought we were capable of. It kind of feels like success, like we’ve leveled up.” Casey said as he quickly copied Emy’s worksheet.

Casey gave a nod to Blaine as he headed over to them and while he finished up his worksheet Blaine passed Emy a note. “What? I think it’s obvious we were using Emy to get these worksheets done. You know kind of like the same reason I hang around with you, so I can copy your work.” He joked in response to Blaine’s comment about them hitting on the new girl. He watched as Blaine’s pupils dilated and it was clear he was having one of his weird energy vision thing. He was curious about what he was seeing but before he even had a chance to ask Adam walked in. Since when did Adam work for the school paper? It didn’t really sound like Adam but there he was in woodshop with a camera. It was only moments after Adam walked in that Chad was trying to start something.

Casey used every ounce of his self-control to keep from laughing as Danny clear fucked with Chad. He looked like a complete moron yelling at someone who wasn’t there and looking around completely bewildered. Once the trio of girls behind them started giggling at Chad, Casey couldn’t hold his own laughter back any longer. Danny’s sarcasm about the situation only made it funnier. “Man, I love it when you Carrie people like that.” It was good see the situation solved peacefully as well as to have the class laughing at Chad. “How’s your head?” He asked Blaine once the room had settled down some.
Ill have a post up this weekend just been super busy.
Sorry, Ill post either tomorrow or Saturday, worked most of yesterday and did an 11 hour shift today and my summer classes have started up.
Name: Lorenzo “Enzo” March

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance:

Personality: As one would expect from a son of Ares, Enzo has a quick temper and difficulty controlling his anger. It’s something he is working on, not wanting to be the kind of person who flies of the handle all the time and he requires outlets such as sports and training to channel his rage. He’s impulsive and his first instinct in a confrontation is to escalate it into a fight. He enjoys a fight, it’s familiar and when in a fight everything just feels right to him. A part of him is afraid of that, wanting to be more than just a force of violence. He wants to be a hero, to be able to channel his skill as a warrior into a force for good. He finds it difficult to trust people and likes to keep others at a distance, partially because he doesn’t want to infect others with his rage. Although he tends to come off as arrogant and standoffish it’s really to keep himself safe from others as well as others safe from him. When it comes it his training and studies he is dedicated and focused spending as much time as he can to better himself and to push himself closer to becoming a better man and a great hero.

Bio: When Enzo was born it was not love that the young mother felt for her child, but anger and hate, and these feelings drove her into a deep depression, as she perceived her inability to love him as her own failing. In fact, it was the natural aura that young Enzo was giving off, a side effect of being the son of the God of War and of the rage and blood lust that comes with war. Enzo was still an infant when his mother took her own life and from there he bounced from foster home to foster home. The parents in his subsequent foster homes felt the same unexplainable rage as his mother, and in the home of weaker mortals that rage was laid upon him.

Much of his childhood was spent getting smacked around and classmates in school frequently picked on him. He learned early on to fight back, starting with bullies his own age and after laying down some beatings on kids larger than he, most kids were afraid to fight him. As a child, he was still cautious about fighting his so-called caregivers, a terrible home was still preferable to know home at all, but his foster father was a mean drunk. The older Enzo got the worse the beatings got until one night, when he was fifteen, Enzo snapped and his foster father ended up in intensive care.

After that it looked like Enzo would be heading to juvy but a mysterious man, and his shark of a lawyer, showed up and managed to get him out of trouble. Turns out it wasn’t a man at all though, it was a god. He was Ares, god of war and Enzo’s true father, and with the help of his father he learned to control his aura and his effect on those around him as well as ways to manage his own anger. Ares was the first person in his life that treated him well, and Enzo idealizes his father and dreams to become the kind of warrior and hero his father can be proud of. After a year or so training with his father he was sent to Olympus Academy to further develop his skills and to be around others like himself.

Parent: Ares; God of War

Power and Abilities: Exceptional strength, speed, and reflexes. Enzo is naturally athletic and muscular but due to his heritage his strength, speed, reflexes and endurance are beyond that of any mortal. These skills are enhanced further in the heat of battle, although this also decreases his ability to control his natural blood lust. He is naturally adept with any weapon but like his father favors a spear. He has one hell of a battle cry, which can usually strike fear into an opponent’s heart though he’s still working on it. He also has the ability, or curse if you ask him, to inspire rage and pugnacity in others.

Likes: His horse, battle/fighting, hot weather, sports, loud fast music, action movies, and spicy food.
Dislikes: Douchebags, cold weather, being bored, mortals of the non-demigod variety, being alone.
Family: Father-Ares, Mother-Deceased, Siblings-Unknown
Friends: TBA
Sentimental Attachment: Enyo, his horse, other than that he lives a Spartan existence, the things he owns have a purpose but are all replaceable and he values then only for their usefulness.
Weapons: Spear, as well as a sword and shield, are his preferred weapons though he learns quickly when it comes to weapons training and is proficient with most tools of war.
Theme Song: youtube.com/watch?v=a3JSbOt7CLo
Other: N/A

I would probably be interested with more detail on what the plot and setting would be. Hugh fan of the show.
