@The One Enyo is is a descendant of the Mares so she's not full MoD which I figured would make her calmer than the originals, so some madness on the mother's side but regular horse on the stallion's side. I imagine Ares handled the horse breeding and En was a gift from his father.
Personality: As one would expect from a son of Ares, Enzo has a quick temper and difficulty controlling his anger. It’s something he is working on, not wanting to be the kind of person who flies of the handle all the time and he requires outlets such as sports and training to channel his rage. He’s impulsive and his first instinct in a confrontation is to escalate it into a fight. He enjoys a fight, it’s familiar and when in a fight everything just feels right to him. A part of him is afraid of that, wanting to be more than just a force of violence. He wants to be a hero, to be able to channel his skill as a warrior into a force for good. He finds it difficult to trust people and likes to keep others at a distance, partially because he doesn’t want to infect others with his rage. Although he tends to come off as arrogant and standoffish it’s really to keep himself safe from others as well as others safe from him. When it comes it his training and studies he is dedicated and focused spending as much time as he can to better himself and to push himself closer to becoming a better man and a great hero.
Bio: When Enzo was born it was not love that the young mother felt for her child, but anger and hate, and these feelings drove her into a deep depression, as she perceived her inability to love him as her own failing. In fact, it was the natural aura that young Enzo was giving off, a side effect of being the son of the God of War and of the rage and blood lust that comes with war. Enzo was still an infant when his mother took her own life and from there he bounced from foster home to foster home. The parents in his subsequent foster homes felt the same unexplainable rage as his mother, and in the home of weaker mortals that rage was laid upon him.
Much of his childhood was spent getting smacked around and classmates in school frequently picked on him. He learned early on to fight back, starting with bullies his own age and after laying down some beatings on kids larger than he, most kids were afraid to fight him. As a child, he was still cautious about fighting his so-called caregivers, a terrible home was still preferable to know home at all, but his foster father was a mean drunk. The older Enzo got the worse the beatings got until one night, when he was fifteen, Enzo snapped and his foster father ended up in intensive care.
After that it looked like Enzo would be heading to juvy but a mysterious man, and his shark of a lawyer, showed up and managed to get him out of trouble. Turns out it wasn’t a man at all though, it was a god. He was Ares, god of war and Enzo’s true father, and with the help of his father he learned to control his aura and his effect on those around him as well as ways to manage his own anger. Ares was the first person in his life that treated him well, and Enzo idealizes his father and dreams to become the kind of warrior and hero his father can be proud of. After a year or so training with his father he was sent to Olympus Academy to further develop his skills and to be around others like himself.
Parent: Ares; God of War
Power and Abilities: Exceptional strength, speed, and reflexes. Enzo is naturally athletic and muscular but due to his heritage his strength, speed, reflexes and endurance are beyond that of any mortal. These skills are enhanced further in the heat of battle, although this also decreases his ability to control his natural blood lust. He is naturally adept with any weapon but like his father favors a spear. He has one hell of a battle cry, which can usually strike fear into an opponent’s heart though he’s still working on it. He also has the ability, or curse if you ask him, to inspire rage and pugnacity in others.
Likes: His horse, battle/fighting, hot weather, sports, loud fast music, action movies, and spicy food. Dislikes: Douchebags, cold weather, being bored, mortals of the non-demigod variety, being alone. Family: Father-Ares, Mother-Deceased, Siblings-Unknown Friends: TBA Sentimental Attachment: Enyo, his horse, other than that he lives a Spartan existence, the things he owns have a purpose but are all replaceable and he values then only for their usefulness. Weapons: Spear, as well as a sword and shield, are his preferred weapons though he learns quickly when it comes to weapons training and is proficient with most tools of war. Theme Song: youtube.com/watch?v=a3JSbOt7CLo Other: N/A
Pet Name: Enyo Pet Age: 2 years Pet Gender: Female Pet Species: Equine, Descendant of the Mares of Diomedes Pet Appearance: Pet Personality: A descendant of one of the infamous Mares of Diomedes known for their ability to breathe fire and their taste for flesh. His horse, Enyo, is still young and mostly accidentally sneezes fire as Enzo is still training her. She is unapproachable by almost everyone except Enzo, maintaining the wild streak on her mythical line. She is both loyal and fiercely protective as well as swift and graceful.
Dylan smiled wide as he passed out fliers and exchanged pleasantries with students. Phoenix let him know that she would be attending, and he hadn’t recalled seeing her at too many of his events so he was glad to see she was coming around. “Wouldn’t be the same without ya, Frenchie.” He said before shifting his attention to the next person. Jason/Jamie accepted his flier and confirmed his attendance. “Fantastic, it wouldn’t be a party without clan Aphrodite there.” He said with a wink. Now Jason/Jamie’s powers were pretty impressive. Dylan, being the son of a fertility god, could certainly appreciate powers of seduction. He pinned some fliers too trees around the school and all over the bulletin board of student activities.
The rain continued to pour down but his fliers, hexed to keep their message a secret from adults, stayed dry thanks to the help he had from some of the more magically inclined demigods. This magic didn’t protect them from Hudson, who, of course, took one from Enzo so that he could crumple it up and toss it to the ground to show off his ‘I’m too cool and apathetic to enjoy a good time’ attitude. “Oh look another rebel without a cause dysfunctional child of Hades, how passé. I guess partying with the living isn’t your thing?” He mused, as he passed Hudson, and picked up the crumpled flier from the ground and disposed of it in the proper receptacle. No need to anger Demeter or any of the other earth deities, Dionysus was god of the grape harvest as well as winemaking after all, so he had a natural fondness of earth deities. Plus, he knew a few children of Demeter who grew some killer green in there dorms and he preferred to stay on their good sides. @JaceBeleren@jeroukoo@Erklings25
Enzo
Enzo noticed the stiffening of her posture, the hiding of her hands, and playful smile that dropped just long enough to be noticeable. Was this a trick? Engage him then lead him away from the others for an ambush She seemed tense and uncomfortable, but the cause of this was what worried him, were her nerves heightened in the anticipation of attack or from the awkwardness that could come from social interactions. He could not see her hands. Do you want to talk somewhere else? It’s getting a bit crowded here. He remembered the time before the academy, when mortals would attempt to best him in combat, when groups of them would jump him. He remembered their tense muscles before the violence, smelling anticipation and sweat on them before they foolishly tried to beat down the Son of Ares. Could she really be that foolish? He wondered as the anger in him rose.
A deep breath. 10, 9, 8. Exhale. Inhale. 7, 6, 5. Let it got. She does not want to fight. He reassured himself. What reason could she have to want to fight. 4, 3, 2. Exhale again. Focus, she wants to talk to you, crowed spaces may make her uncomfortable. Enzo reassured himself, he remembered how uncomfortable he had been around large groups, always on edge waiting for one them to strike out at him. 1. Relax. The anger was buried again, deep within, where it belonged and where it was unable to harm those around him.
“Sorry, I uh spaced out a bit, yeah we can go someplace else, I’m sure Dylan has the flier thing covered.” He said relaxing back to his previous demeanor. Then Hudson, Auria’s half-brother and another child of Hades snatched one of his fliers and threw it on the ground. It was typical for Hudson but Enzo found it a little rude and most of the time small slights like that would be enough to set of his temper. He managed to let that go as well, mostly because Hudson was on his way before Enzo really had a chance to react. His father should be proud, he was two for two today at keeping his temper in check. “How was your summer?” He asked turning his focus to Auria and allowing Hudson to leave his mind. @ViolentViolet
After dropping off his belongings in his dorm room Enzo grabbed the stack of fliers that Dylan had left with him and helped pass them out. He would’ve preferred to spend his free time training in the school’s top notch facilities but it couldn’t hurt to have Dylan owe him a small favor. Enzo had to admit the guy threw great parties, and he’d learned to make wine from the wine god himself so it was just next to perfection. He waved at Micah when they passed each other in the courtyard, knowing that they’d surely run into each other again sooner or later. He’d handed out a few of the fliers before he was approached by Auria, who he knew from a few classes. Hey you.
Enzo noticed the way she walked, swiftly and silently, like a panther stalking its prey. She possessed skill enough to earn his respect as a warrior, not the purely brutish type of warrior that he was, but an equally dangerous fighter none the less. The spark in her eyes could only belong to a child of Hades, a god his father spoke well of as they had a mutually beneficial relationship; Ares sent souls to Hades’ domain and Hades gave war meaning for without the consequence of death war would have no weight. Enzo respected his father and made it a point to respect the children of those gods with whom his father was friendly with.
“Hey yourself, blue eyes.” He said with a smile as he handed her a flier. “First day back party, it’s Dylan’s thing, you know how those Dionysus’ kids like to party. It’s a guaranteed good time though, it’s always nice to blow off some steam and let loose right?” Enzo said as he tried to remember if he’d seen her at any of the parties from the previous year. From there interactions in classes Auria reminded him of how distant he had been when he first got here. He had been wary of the other students, used more to the reactions mortals had around him, reactions of anger, hatred, and violence. He remembered what it was like to be surrounded by people and still feel alone. He wasn’t sure if she was alone here, maybe he just always caught her away from her friends, but he knew he was lucky to have found friends like he had with Micah and Riddley. While Dylan could be a bit much at times he was lucky to have roomed with him as well, helping throw parties had really brought Enzo out of his shell and he liked making sure other students felt as welcomed as he had been made to feel. Mortals could never understand them and gods would never truly accept them as equals but this was the one place they could all belong among their own. “I really hope you can make it out.” He added.
Enzo lifted his head towards the sky as the rain pour down upon him. He could feel it in the air, their world was on the cusp of war and it was electric. He could sense it all around him, feel it in his blood and bones, conflict and tension building among gods and demigods alike. He was ready for it, for war, and not for some petty little mortal war either, but a war of gods. He his father was more than ready for a real war, it had been ages since there was a battle worthy of the god of war himself and his father’s distain of Zeus was hardly a secret. His father found the thunder god to be an unfit ruler, thinking not with the head on his shoulders and more concerned with chasing skirts than the state of things on high Olympus. He knew there were many who wanted to keep the peace but Enzo was hoping for all hell to break loose and for the chance for him to truly be a warrior. What better way to channel his pent-up blood lust than war among gods? Enzo’s thoughts of war were becoming more than a little intoxicating.
“You like your getting ready for a wet t-shirt contest.” Said a familiar voice as the back of a hand slapped his shoulder. “Seriously, Enz, it’s cold enough to make Boreas shiver.” Dylan added as he took a few steps towards the dorm buildings and paused waiting for Enzo to follow.
That explained the intoxicating feeling and his urge to indulge in thoughts of war; Dylan had that sort of effect on people if they weren’t careful. “You should be careful with that. One day I might indulge in punching your face.” Enzo jokingly threatened as they headed inside one of the dorm buildings. In all honesty, he usually found Dylan’s meddling to be calming, his influence made those who allowed it feel happier and it distracted him from the anger that always seemed to burn just below the surface.
“Like you’d want to mess with the face of perfection. A little indulgence never hurt anyone.” Dylan said. “Where you rooming this year?”
“I think you’ve missed the point of like most myths.” Enzo said as he showed his former roommate his assignment.
“Shit, well at least we’ve got the same building. I guess I’ll see ya around.” Dylan said as Enzo headed into his dorm and Dylan continued to his own room assignment.
Dylan found his room empty and threw his stuff on one of the beds before heading back out to the rest of the campus with a stack of fliers for the party he was throwing later that night. A start of the year party was just as much a tradition as the faculty’s attempts to stop it. Which was why the flier was in a not so secret code, allowing him deniability should faculty get a hold of it, the location was kept secret until the last minute when children of Hermes would spread the word of how to get there, and those with magic would help cloak what was going on. It really was amazing what could be accomplished when demigods worked together. He passed fliers out with a wink and smile to everyone he came across.
Parent: Dionysus, God of Wine, Theater, Madness, and Ecstasy
Abilities: Dylan’s powers make him the life of any party, he can make people feel intoxicated, loose inhibitions, and take the minds of those around him into a state of ecstasy. He can also drive people mad or bring one back from the cusp of madness. He can also turn any liquid into wine which really helps keep a party going.
Personality: Dylan, as the son of the party god, loves to have a good time and loves to see other people having a good time as well. Confidant, friendly and outgoing, Dylan is most at home when surrounded by others and doesn’t care for being alone. He’s not one for keeping secrets, and perhaps his father’s patronage of the theater has influenced his love of drama. If giving the opportunity to stir up some trouble he will certainly take it. He’s the sort of demi god that lacks inhibition, he indulges every whim and flight of fancy. As far as school goes he couldn’t really care less about classes or studying preferring to school as a means of networking with other demigods and a place to have fun.
Short Bio: Born to one of his father’s followers after she woke up pregnant after a night of intoxication and madness. Even as an infant Dylan was trouble, constantly turning his milk and formula into wine and generally testing the limits of his mortal mother’s sanity. Lucky for her his father, Dionysus, stepped in to help raise him, enjoy his young son’s enthusiasm and general lust for life. As he grew he quickly became a favorite to his father, and to his grandfather, Zeus, as well. He was certainly his father’s son, he spent a good majority of his adolescence with the gods and Zeus saw potential in him. Dylan could use his abilities to win over other demigods for Zeus, show them how fun being on the side of the big guy could be, one perpetual party and using their powers to indulge themselves.
Extra: Team Zeus, the gods have been good to him and the guy is his grandpa after all.
