Current Just ran a stale yellow. Nobody on this website is doing it like me, sticking it to the man like me, blazing a trail against tyranny like me. the only thing revolutionary about you is your rhetoric

Takeru Segawa is the type of man they made myths out of. Intensely privileged to be able to say I watched him burn so bright as he did before going out with a win. I’ll miss you, hero.

Shinjiro Karasawa

"Of for the love of--" he growled in English, before making an executive decision to cut negotiations with the girl formerly hanging off of Hat-chan off before they'd even had time to truly begin. Instead, our purple-haired hothead prioritized his running servos over his talking ones, and sped towards the source of the cry for help with wild abandon!

That's fine. You've beaten most of the other people on the mission to the punch, after all.

By the way, folks, don't jerk toward the Edit button, just thought I'd say: nobody uses Morse Code. It's a complete Hollywood thing nowadays.

"I don't think the flashing's what we can interpret as Morse Code here." he responded, bemusement evident in his hushed tone. "Rather, if anything was, it'd have to be the tapping."

The flashing light was almost certainly a regular interval to catch the eye, anyway, and there was much less reason to suspect the flashing of an answer button, of all things, to be in Morse. Why waste the time when the people on the other end could just pick up? It wasn't a concept that made sense to him.

Then again, neither did half of the things he had now learned over the course of one week, but he digressed. Focusing purely on the topic at hand, he found such a situation to be extremely unlikely. However, the general gist of her message, those details aside, was one he agreed with: The button had to have been flashing because someone from the inside was making a cry for help, a cry that they as hunters, as good people, couldn't afford to turn a blind eye to.

"But, yeah. I think that means there are people trapped inside we need to save."

A little firmer this time.

Sterling Johnson -- Defending a Caravan (and teammates)

"Thanks, babe!" called the Atlesian bruiser as he hit the vehicle feet-first, Aura's natural protection dampening the shock and allowing him to whirl about-face, just in time to notice that, oh shit, two of his teammates were in a bad way!

Luckily, that's what he was here for.

Silvery wrist joint disconnecting, his hand hung in that familiar downward position as instinct guided his aim. Loaded with rounds of Fire Dust, the twenty-something looked to make an impression upon the Tutankhamen's back.

THOOOM!

And so, he delivered, barking an order suggestion at his other Faunus teammate over both his shoulder and the rushing wind, even as the massive incendiary round sailed downrange.

Those don't flash, unless...

He grimaced quietly, eyeing the flashing as his mind ran through the short, short list of implications it could come up with. In effect, one. Someone within the facility was trying to establish communication with the outside, and they couldn't be Grimm. No Grimm were so intelligent as to come up with a "plan" in the first place, right? Let alone one that required such abstract thought as baiting Hunters in with explicitly Human-made system. While undoubtedly something based off Nightmarish-looking things like Anglerfish or sinister folklore such as Will o' Wisps was out there, nothing that understood distress signals!

And then there was that thumping Amy mentioned...

Morse code?

He strained his ears to no avail, only getting close enough to get a passing feeling that something was just out of the range he could hear. Meaning, nothing concrete enough to work off of. Possibly only a placebo effect. Not trustworthy in these situations.

"That light has to be someone calling for help, right? Shouldn't we answer it?" he asked in a low murmur, mindful of the Hawk Faunus's heightened senses even as he scanned a particular section of the right of the group.

While he wasn't the Leader of either team, and arguably had some of the least authority here, he still couldn't help but give his two cents, even if they were in the more palatable form of a question as opposed to a direct statement. Not wanting to overstep his bounds, however, he held his tongue beyond that until further notice.
Nitrogen asphyxiation is a pretty humane manner of execution.

For a given value of humane, of course.
