Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All of that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.

Jerome walked out of the warehouse, fixing his tie around his neck, while one of his associates, Jordan, pulled him aside "What we gone' do with him, boss?" Jordan asked Jerome, whom shrugged. "Cut him loose, I got to know all I needed. Take him to the bar, and buy him a beer. Tell him he walked into a door, or something." Jordan nodded, as he whistled for the other guys to carry the badly beaten man - Mike Connery, a local low-life, out of the warehouse. "And Jordan, do me a favor and burn the clothes for me." Jerome mentioned as Jordan nodded "O-Of course." Jerome nodded, he was very controlling when it came to his work - in fact, when it came to everything, he liked being in charge. Not leaving things behind or a conversation with words still left to speak. He had gotten a text message from his mother, she wanted him to come home, he grinned, as he walked towards the parking garage a couple of blocks away, where he had parked his motorcycle.

Putting on his black leather gloves and the black helmet, he revved the engine on the sports bike and was soon on his way home, not more than a five minute drive. He pulled up and soon founds his way into the house, where his little sister, Natalie, greeted him with a hug. Jerome smiled warmly and hugged her back. "Hi there sis, how are you?" he asked, following her into the main room, where their mother already sat waiting. Turning his head, towards Natalie, he saw her talking to their father. Jerome sat down, and soon Natalie joined him, they decided not to wait for Logan - probably for the better.

Their father would speak, his tone serious and grim, as it usually was. While Jerome had control preferences his father was a dramatic. he overplayed the danger, the other families wouldn't be stupid enough to pick fights with the Davidsons, not between Matthew and his power and his sisters and mothers wit. Yet, if there were truth to his father's concerns, Jerome would be more than happy to protect his family.

When his father's speech ended, Jerome nodded. He knew full well of the powers of the roses, they had saved his life quite some time ago, after all. Once Natalie left the room, probably to go talk to her secret boyfriend Jerome thought, he looked to his parents. "So, now that there are no more children in the room, what's the plan?" He knew his mother didn't appreciate him talking down his siblings like that, but she knew it came from a place of love. Just like everything he ever did. It was all done with love for his family.
Soo... People on Spring Break, School Work, Everything okay? :/

Oh yeah, posting. I should get on that.

Been a little preoccupied - and might be a little more so, but I'll smack out a post.

<Snipped quote by Hillan>

Stop that.

Why is everyone doing big chunks? If you've got a sizable portion done, just post it so we can at least see progress and activity.

What you have left to do arguably shouldn't change what you have done so, just post some of it. (This isn't necessarily directed at Hilla but everyone.)

Fuckin post. Fuckin werk like the category is: Executive Realness

I never did mention us actually writing anything, though. :^ )

Last I heard from Hillan he was waiting on Divine Darkness.

He is. And been master schemin', too. Our collab should be done in the next couple of days.

Probably.

While I agree with the both of you that one should not over-explain their character and/or clearly define their personalities (I despise Personality sections as well), I do think that it is quite necessary to write something about how your character feels, because it's such a huge part of the roleplay. I/We don't need to know how they feel about everything; we just need to know how they feel about Gobi and their whole situation there.
It's all fine and dandy that you want to get that out during IC posts and I encourage if not demand a lot of character emotion from people in a character-centric game like this, especially in the Advanced section, but these are things that could change the tide on whether we find your characters acceptable, as the reasons may not be plausible to us - like leaving everything you've ever known behind just because you're curious as to what's on the other side of the cliffs, without serious mental struggle about it.

I hope I'm making myself understandable, because I'm honestly tired enough to sleep for days right now and my brain doesn't really function properly when I'm tired. I also can't English properly, so sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes in there.

Fair enough, I suppose.

Is there a higher calling, is their Jounin calling on them to traverse the outside world? Else, I will have to think of a new reason for Aro to leave the newly learned safety of Gobi that he's come to know.
Africa is a nice place this time of year!

I forgot it was Easter, and then all my family showed up ._.

I'll definitely post tonight, I just gotta sit down and do it. ^^

Hate it when that happens!

Perhaps a little bit.

Hot Springs make sense, so that's a good idea. Which reminds me; is he self-conscious about his scars? Or proud of them, perhaps? He has both battle scars and frostbite scars; do these have different meanings to him? I was thinking about it the other day, but never got around to asking the question.
I was also thinking about whether he was self-conscious about the fact that he's from another time and all that and feels like he's weird and shit stuff because of it, or if he's simply accepted that that's the way it is and so on?
So basically, I'm wondering how he feels about his situation and the effects thereof, 'cause I didn't really get that from his sheet and I'm a really curious person of nature.
How's it going with his backstory and stuff? He about ready? I'm waiting impatiently to see the finished result. It's exciting. Like Christmas Eve.

I think he'd be a little self-conscious about them, probably not so much by the scars themselves, he's had a few years to get over it, and I assume that what few medical ninjas and psychiatrists the village has would have helped him overcome the majority of the trauma about what happened to him. The getting turned into a popsicle part, not so much the whole raised in a time of great turmoil, so he's still got plenty of interesting, juicy lil issues left to poke at! But, I think that he's probably very concious about showing off his scars, while he's not a particularly violent, or even thought of as a dangerous person, his scars shows such raw displays of violence, weather they're from a cut, a bruise, getting burnt or indeed his frostbites. So, I don't reckon he'd be one to throw off his shirt and jump into a pool full of people, maybe only because he wouldn't wanna frighten those around him.

Though, I reckon he does have a couple scars, maybe some that look a little less 'violent' that he shows off with stories of 'grandure' (Aka, him lying through his teeth.) To spread around the campfire to amuse his fellow shinobi.

And that is really what I find interesting about Aro. That he is very sad about where he is, on one hand but on the other hand, it's a better time. It's a safer time. He's finally safe, he never had that before, he misses his family and his comrades, he wishes he had been there to see Konoha bloom, and in fact the entire shinobi world become what it is today, and he probably would have liked to have had his hand in it.
But he appreciates the 'second chance' as it where, and that's where he anchors himself to Gobi, in it being a different life. That the Aroshima who got frozen in that cave is not the Aroshima of Gobi.

.:EDIT:.
Actually, if everyone (myself included) could go a little bit in depth about how their characters feel, I'd be a happy camper. Like, it's fine that we're told about what our characters can do and what they've experienced, but it's just as important to know how they feel about it.
Like, I didn't even write how my character feels that Gobi is as stifling as the many rules of her nomad clan, just that she feels that way. I need to remedy that.

Since this is such a character-based roleplay where that sense of just not being good enough is mighty important, these feels really should be more pronounced ... to me, at least.
Am I wrong?

While the idea is sound, I personally don't think one should over explain their character before the In Character even begins. Save some of the details till you can show them off with your character writing. I despise Personality sections for this very reason, as it's a lot different to say that someone is a certain way than it is to write someone a certain way.

I've been pretty busy over the holiday, and currently recovering from family activities, and the traditional binge drinking.
(I swear, we don't have a problem! Long standing Swedish tradition, promise!) But, I'll get around to finishing Aro probably by Wednesday.

I'll have to admit I've actually never had the chance to see The Losers, though I'm certainly interested now. Well, anyway, good to have the interest! I'll get started on creating the OOC soon. Do any of you have any particular preferences when it comes to group size?

Band of rag-tag soldiers who end up getting burned and have to fight for their own fortune. The movie is super character driven, based on a comic book, a pretty good one, too.

I find small groups to be the best. But it all comes down to the interest!

I'm not sure his sisters romance would bother him. Maybe a little because "It's with the enemy".

Jerome isn't really "Sex Crazed" He just realizes that sex is about power, and he likes power.
