Young Justice Renegades: A Team Worth Dying For

Hayden is another one of those that I think reasonably could have joined at any time. @Hillan what do you think Julian's thought process was for letting someone so young onto the team?

One angle that I thought of was that Hayden's been around since the early days, but was never technically considered for formal membership. Just kind of turned up on the doorstep and has stuck around since, always finding a way to break back into the compound/base/whatever any time they're kicked out or encouraged to leave.

But I'm totally open to suggestions, don't really have any hard and fast plans.

Here's a question for everyone: how does your character feel about someone so comparatively young being on/adjacent to the team?

I imagine Hayden's allowed /on/ the team, but Julian, and probably some of the others, will be really protective of them in a probably obnoxious way to Hayden. So she might just be forced to be sidelined with Julian for most of the fighting.

Maybe. Could also be that Julian, like the dumbass he is, just believes Dandelion wouldn't hurt anyone. Something about 'if you fear something you increase the chance of them turning into what you fear'.

So now comes the question of "what is to be done about Dandy?"

I had an idea for how they actually joined the team; Dandelion could be the most recent teammate to join, as their recruitment was actually the most recent attempt at their "first real mission" that they still have not had.

Julian, with all of his hacking and connections to major corporations, heard about the villain (maybe The Light? Who knows) attack on the STAR Lab, and saw "extraterrestrial missing and presumed escaped; capable of replicating and replacing any living thing; considered an extreme risk to local population," and from there decided to mobilize the Renegades.

They went all out, magic wards, super-scientific tracking, battle plans and tactics out the wazoo, and then when they get to Fawcett City and track the alien down, they just go "Hi, I'm Dandy, can we be friends?" And from there they join the team.

What do we think?

I like it. I imagine Julian would've done some testing / screening before he'd unleash the unknown alien being into the team's living quarters - he's a believer but he's not suicidal. He's seen the Alien films... Probably.

How does everyone else feel about that background for Dandelion's recruitment?
