I think Julian and Eilidh could have an interesting relationship within the group and something that sprung to my mind was the idea of them working together to help him with his more emotional side, perhaps on the down low. He can impart to her the knowledge he has about telepathy learned from his experience and she can assist him with keeping emotions in check.

I mean, he isn't 'maniacally fighting Superman in a supersuit full of kryptonite'. But he's been in and out of prison a couple times for white collar crime and been put on trial for more severe stuff but gotten away with it due to lack of evidence. He is in general not a good man by anyone's imagination. Unless you're the biggest licker of boots there is.
@Hillan with our plan I was kind of considering Conor to be one of the initial members, it just works well for our angle of them working together on an early problem.

And Julian probably would've needed some muscle on his side to recruit someone else, too. The Luthor name might've been off-putting. (Which, frankly, isn't an angle I've seen anyone do yet. Look at you guys, not blaming someone for the sins of the father. Good job.)
Out of curiosity how long has the team been in action? Have characters joined at different times?
Renegades have done nothing mayor yet as a team. Maybe stopping some low-level thugs, rescued a few kittens, that sorta stuff. Their true trial by fire will come pretty early in the thread.
The team's been in action for a few weeks, maybe a month-half, depending on who joined when and what they did before they were all 'up to snuff', as it were. Julian's just been going around picking up strays, and I'll leave it to you guys to decide when and how you got recruited - I'm obviously available to brainstorm Julian's convincing of you to join.
But you could be completely new to the team or as old as the team gets. Julian would've just recently acquired the penthouse so everyone would be new to their current accommodations.

Hey! Everyone was in the running and I had agonizing choices to make when I realized it wasn't feasible to run the RP with 20+ characters. You did well and getting yourself out there and trying is worth it. See it as a learning experience and you'll grow both as a Roleplayer and writer, but also, and perhaps most importantly as a person.
It's worth noting that the Renegades are going on their first 'big' mission by the start of the IC. Been all together for probably a few weeks, doing lower-tier heroics and just getting a feel for each other. Rescuing kittens and the occasional crook. That sorta thing.
