She was running. That's all she knew in that moment. One moment, she was having a nice relaxing bath, the next she was running through the woods butt naked, wondering how the hell she got there. Had she been drugged? Was the rest of her family okay? Where was she running to? She stopped after a few minutes of running, her mind racing with what to do. She hadn't seen a single damn building out here. Her next thought went to who would do this? Why would they do this? And where the hell were they now.
She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. Every step was painful, every step was starting to feel like her last. She wasn't built for this, for survival out in the woods with nothing but her birthday suit to protect her. She was going to die out here. As the thought hit her, she stopped, dead in her tracks and plopped down onto her knees to cry, sobbing after a moment.
Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...
He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her.
"..Miss? Are you okay?"
A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.
His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. It was mostly unknown to him the animosity between the two breeds, but it became very apparent when he told his parents about his new friend, only be told to stop spending time with him. That only made the young dragon want to see his friend more. He needed to know what was so bad about his breed that his parents would openly demand he stop seeing him. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.
"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"
"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.
"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.
"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."
"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.
"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.
"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. The only person willing to join him was his sister, Raira. She was more than willing to leave, more out of a desire to be free from her parents than anything. Ambrose not joining him, didn't deter the young dragon. As soon as he was old enough to really grow into his wings, he approached his father and let him know of his intentions. As expected, the older dragon was none to happy to hear this, but respected his son's wishes. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.
Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. They settled on the branches of the Behemoth, who branches held the Gladebough Village. Cuprite and his sister met their respective mates here among the other clans and convinced them to join them. Since then, they have welcomed dragons into their growing community. Cuprite rules their clan as "King" with a firm hand and a gentle voice. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.
Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.
Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.
One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"
His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.
The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.
She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.
"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.
Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.
"Yes... I can hear you..."
"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.
"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.
"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"
"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.
"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.
"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.
"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.
Raira had always been a free spirit. From the moment she was born, she had been contrary to her parents. It wasn't as if she lived to disagree with them, but she certainly had a mind of her own and nothing anyone said could dissuade her from doing what she wanted to do. Stubborn to a fault. The last thing Raira ever wanted was to be in charge of an entire clan but despite that, when given the opportunity to leave her little Lightning Clan to explore the greater world with her brother, she took it. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...
She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.
Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. Pache, a male Fae dragon who despite being hard for her to understand, had become her closest friend and confidant. She could tell him anything and he would always listen with eyes that seemed to always understand her feelings. She'd often sneak him into her nest to hang out with her, since he was small enough to hide in her wings. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.
Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.
"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.
"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.
"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.
"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.
"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.
Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.
Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.
When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.
"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.
She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.
From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. The true turning point in their relationship, however, came on a hunt Bercilak had accompanied Raira, her brother, and her brother's mate, Eden. The four were prowling the groves below the village. Eden and Cuprite split off, Raira assumed to go have some alone time. The thought alone made her incredibly jealous and she stuck her tongue out after her brother before continuing on. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.
It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.
"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.
"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.
"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.
"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.
Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.
"You mean, I can't hit on all the girls? Darn... Are there at least cookies?"
Alias: Echo Real name: Scout "Echo" Carter Age: 22 Gender: Female
Appearance: Standing at a rather tall 5'8" and weighing in at 145 pounds, Scout is mostly muscle. Having been a tomboy most of her life, she's not really used to getting 'dressed up' like other girls. In fact, she hates dresses. The only reason her hair is long is because of her dad who liked her hair so much he refused to let her cut it short like she wanted. Brown eyes are framed by high cheek bones and a soft complexion. Her lips don't usually get chapped considering how much water she drinks on a daily basis. She isn't super health conscious but she knows that water is a must if she's going to play outside all day. Her chest isn't very promonent but she prefers it that way, since bigger boobs would just get in her way. Though, she sort of wishes she had a bigger, more toned butt. You'd think with all the running she did, it would be less... flat.
Scout's uniform in a wellfitted spandex suit. It is orchid purple with a white strip running down the center with her 'Hero Logo' on the front, a set of rings that gradually disappear as they get farther out from the center. She has a few buttons on her suit that when activated release swaths of fabric or tubes that allow her to create different sort of sounds. She'll also carry around a random instrument of some kind that changes from day to day, though she prefers a guitars. She's been known to carry around a sax, a harp, a flute, and even more unconventional instruments like pots and pans and sticks.
However, at start her 'uniform' will simply be her hoodie pictured above, and a purple mask over her eyes. Basically, her uniform at this point would be a rectangle piece of fabric with hole cut for her eyes which she ties around her head.
Personality: Scout grew up in a rather hectic home. Actually, she grew up in an RV/Tour Bus most of her life. Her father was a rock star, a fairly famous one at that. She would have lived with her mother in a steady home had her mother even wanted her around. Scout had never been the most... accomodating child. Scout loved her father and because of him she grew up to be a person who loved life, every moment of it. She's never without a smile on her face, even in some of the worst situations. Usually when she gets down, she pops in her dad's old CDs and falls asleep listening to him. When he died, nothing much on the surface of Scout changed, but behind closed doors, she gets pretty depressed. She likes to be around people mostly because it keeps her mind off of the bad stuff, like the fact that her mother refuses to fund her way through college. Scout flirts, a lot, but mostly because it keeps people from asking if she's okay. Nothing better to change a topic than a quick grope and a slap to the face. Though, she'd have more friends if she kept her hands to herself.
Short Biography: As most heros, Scouts powers came about after a freak accident. One day, when she was fairly little, she was messing with her fathers sound equipment. She was on the stage, while her father and the other band members were all asleep in the old RV, and was pretending to be a rock star like her dad. But, a sudden storm came and with the sounds of the music she was playing drowning it out, Scout didn't even notice it. A lightning bolt came crashing down from the clouds and hit the mic Scout was rocking out on. When she finally came to, she was in the hospital. It didn't seem like much else happened after that. But recently, with her dad's death, her emotions started to get the better of her and her powers began to surface. At first, she didn't really understand what was going on, but eventually she pieced it all together. There was something weird in that storm that gave her these powers. That lightning bolt did something to her, changed her somehow. But what she didn't understand was why it didn't surface until now...
Powers, Skills & Equipment:
-Sound Manipulation: Scout can manipulate the sounds around her. She can create sounds with her mouth and other tools, but can only manipulate them with her mind. The use of her hands to 'mold' the sound waves is only for her to better visualize what she's trying to do. She can't do too much right now except mimic sounds with her own voice, changing the sound waves as they escape her lips, and change sound waves in certain ways like changing the pitch, amplifying sounds, and shifting the sound waves to distort them and the listener. Scout has also found that certain materials break and shatter at certain frequencies and has begun to test and keep a journal of different frequencies needed to break certain materials. The process is quite long and frustrating, however, so she doesn't spend too much time doing it.
-Super Speed: Scout's always been sort of athletic, but her speed is another thing altogether. She can keep up with most cars, even race cars. She can use this speed to create sound waves and create what she calls, "Sound Typhoons" which will hit targets like a brick wall being thrown at them.
Weakness(es):
-Earplugs: Take away Scout's ability to hear, and you take away her ability to manipulate sounds. Same thing with her voice, cause her to become mute and her power is diminished, though not as severely if you took away her hearing.
-Young: Scout still has much to learn about the world around her, much less her own powers.
-No-No Square: On the back of Scouts neck is a strange symbol in the form of a scar. It is a small circle with a strange lightning bolt insignia on it, presumably from the accident. Whenever she touches it, she feels weak and her knees begin to give way and she gets a horrible headache. She often yells at people for trying to give her backrubs, even if she does want one terribly.
-Skirt Chaser: Scout has a thing for pretty girls in cute skirts. Though, she doesn't really like hanging out with them as much as she does the guys. She much prefers getting down and dirty and acts it. She has a foul mouth and likes to play rough, often making jokes that would make even the best of friends a little peeved with her.
Scout was born out of the love affair of a pastor's daughter and an upcoming rockstar. Rachael, wanting to have a bit of fun before she finally gradutated college, had met Ned, the lead singer for his upcoming band, the Skinners. She met him at a party and had had a few too many drinks. Within the next couple of months, she'd graduated thinking she'd never see him again. But, things wouldn't end so nicely for Rachael. She began throwing up in the morning. Luckily, she was in her own apartment so she didn't have to worry about her parents finding out but her sister found the payment sheet from the doctors from when she'd gotten her ultrasound. Rachael had been planning to abort the baby and just let it be swept under the rug her parents refused her, saying that if she didn't have that baby, they'd disown her. And so, she had the baby. But, she refused to name her, telling the doctors of her father. "Just let Ned know. He'll take her."
The next few days, Ned spent his days traveling back to his old hometown to visit a doctor who said he had Ned's child for him. The other band mates were very supportive and even happy for him. Ned wasn't so thrilled. However, that was before he saw her. He saw his baby girl laying in that room with the rest of them, and his heart filled with love for the poor girl. When he picked her up, the deal was sold. He looked up at his mates with the biggest smile they'd ever seen on his face. From then on, she was called Scout and was often joked to be the bands "Talent Scout" and sometimes even came on stage as their mascot. The fans were very receptive to Scout as well, they all loved her. At the end of shows, she'd come out on stage and 'dance' for them in random outfits and even sing for them sometimes.
Then, Scout's accident happened, and Ned saw his life flash before his eyes. From then on, he kept close tabs on Scout, much to her irritation. He even stalked her when she started dating guys. However, Scout soon figured out that she didn't really like guys. They all just reminded her of the guys in the band. Soon, she began dating girls in secret behind her dad's back. She'd always tell him she was just hanging out with her friend. He never even suspected a thing until he walked in on her and her girlfriend at the time in the living room of the Tour Bus. He'd screamed for the girl to get out and had a rather long talk with Scout about lying. She'd expected him to be mad about her preferences but he never even mentioned anything about that. He was more upset that she'd lied to him about it.
From then on, things went fairly smoothly. Ned watched his daughter idly, a soft smile on his face. The other band members started trying to hook her up with 'hot chicks' and stuff like that. It was all pretty nice until it happened. He was on a normal average run to the store from the bus, took a cab. But, the small store was robbed that night and... Ned never made it out. She'd never gotten the full story on what happened, no one seemed to want to tell her even though she was 18, seemingly old enough to know. She was home schooled, so the other band members took charge of her and sent her to school, where she studied vocals. She quit about half way through figuring she already knew all this crap and came back to try and take over the Skinners but by the time she came back, they had all split up. It also didn't help that with her powers, it was a bit hard to make friends. Going to the bathroom was easy and everything sounded nice because she could alter the sounds and she'd always sing perfectly, but she'd lost her drive. Now, she simply wanders, as if something random would spark her interest and give her something to do for awhile.
Do you shower often?
"I... I guess? I take a shower every other day. Don't see much reason to bathe everyday..."

What did you have for dinner last night?
"Uhm... Chinese take out. What I have pretty much every night."

If yes, what is/are his/her/their name/names?
If no, why not?
"I'm 22 and lesbian. And single, mind you."
What was the name of your last lover?
"Samantha. She sure was pretty too, but Scott found her stealing stuff from the Bus, so that ended quickly. I haven't dated since... well... since the band split up without telling me."
Are you two still together?
"Did the past tense 'was' not tip you off?"
If yes, how long have you been together?
If no, why did you split up?
"See other question."
..:: || Phase 3, Winding Down || ::..
What's your favourite drink?

How about a favourite snack?
"The blood of small children. No, but really. I like those little mandarin oranges, you know? They come in those little cups..."
Do you consider yourself to be an amicable person?
"Lemme just google that real quick... I guess so? I'm pretty chill and uncaring, so I guess that counts as friendly and shit?"
What's your usual mood like?
"Someone once told me I look like someone just ran over my cat. Not sure how I should take that. But I guess I lean more towards the 'don't care' attitude? I don't know. I make jokes a lot usually to hide the sucky stuff."
Do you like your creator?
"Would you like someone that gave you freak powers and then killed your dad in a robbery accident? Yeah, no. I'll pass."

What's your lineage/blood line like?
"Shit."
Are you happy with your lineage/blood line?
"With my Dad's, yeah. But Mom? Her family can suck my d-"
How far back does your lineage/blood line go?
"Hell if I know. Nor do I care to know."
Almost done. If there was one thing about yourself that you could change, what would it be?
"I want my ass to be bigger. Please."
What's your line of work?
"Professional loafer? But no really, I do some performances on the street every now and then. I make enough off of those surprisingly, to keep myself afloat.
What's your preferred tool of the trade?
"My voice..."
Last question. What would you do if you suddenly appeared in your creators world?
Aww... Well... What a rockstar without a tragic young death that no one saw coming? And Grimmarch is the city full of criminals. :P I need to not mess with my characters so much, don't I? -grumbles-
She feels very 'batman' to me in a way. I mean, her mother might as well be dead to her. I'm sure her mother feels the same about her.

Weakness(es):
When was the last time you brushed your teeth?
"Last night, why?"
What did you have for dinner last night?
"Uhm... Chinese take out. What I have pretty much every night."
Any children at all?
"God forbid, no."
"See other question."
..:: || Phase 3, Winding Down || ::..
What's your favourite drink?
"Whiskey."
Yeah, no. I'll pass."
What's your most over used phrase?
"Dude."
Interesting. How about your least used phrase?
"Uhm... I guess... 'I love you.'"
..:: || Phase 4, Packing Up and Moving On || ::..
Do you have many friends?
"Sure. I guess."
Would you say your well liked among people?
"I uh... I don't know. I guess? Most people give me nasty looks but my friends are nice enough to me."
"Go after her, of course."
Alright we're done, you can go now
"I appreciate it."
Let me know if I need to change anything. I'm not really sure how to lead into the whole 'super hero' thing. I guess she could just decide one day to use her powers productively when she sees shit going down in Grimmarch, where she'll start out. Any advice on that?
Also, if there's a problem with my potty mouth, lemme know. I'll filter.
She could also bring along instruments and such to create sounds for her to manipulate.
"Watch, I can run so fast, that sounds come out of this sax. HAHA!"
Or... "I needed a loud noise. So, I brought a pan and a spoon. Everyone knows pans are like the best makeshift drums ever." -proceeds to bang on the pan excessively-
Though, that might get a little weird. She could also create 'sound darts.' Like, she can start running and then whistle a sound that, depending on how she moves her head and lips, acts like a dart and can go for enemies as she passes them. And I quite like the name Sonic Boom.
"Though... Just don't call me Sanic. And go forbid, if you play that dumbass song, I'll mute it so fast."
OH... She could 'mute' people. Altering the sound waves that come out of their mouths to cancel them so that they can't talk. I'm liking this....
I have a personality and picture in mind but I'm still thinking of a power to give her. The rest will come as I create her.
Actually, I was sort of thinking Sound Manipulation or just straight up Super Human Athleticism. But I figure either of those might have already been taken. Have they? I'd also need to figure out some CS reason she got the powers. Lol.
I suppose it depends on my workload and how into the RP I am. And once a week is usually the least I would do unless I'm just having writer's block. And if that ever happened, I'd be sure to keep you all posted. Considering my RP bestie is here, I doubt I'll leave that easily. :P
So yeah. I'd always let you guys know ahead of time if I'm busy or otherwise uninspired. If I get super into it, I might post more.
Also, something I might suggest for posting. And, don't take this as me trying to... command or some such, I just think this idea is good for people like me who are too busy to read EVERY little thing that doesn't concern my character. Obviously, I'll try but if the posting gets too much for me to keep up with, I'd recommend, for my sake and because they can be sort of funny, summaries at the end of each post. I usually do them as little tidbits of the important stuff that happened. For example,
[Taken from another RP I'm currently in.] Ada and Lorelei were almost late. Lorelei is a scarlet. Jennings Taylor. Ada got elbowed by Lorelei pretty seriously. Ada tackled Lorelei. They laughed. Bartime.
So, feel free to do it if you wish. I kind of like doing them. :P
I'll have to head over there. :D
And yes, that's my OC, Lily making a worried expression about something. Lol. I have more arts if you're interested in see some of it. T3T
I hope you don't mind a Driving Park Stalker to come aboard. >.>;
Before I do try to join though, I wanna let you guys know that I already have 3 other big RPs I'm dedicated to on top of going back to school within the week. I might not post but once a week. If you're willing to deal with that, then you know. Lemme join. If not, that's cool as well. I'll respectfully walk away. And then whine to DP later about still wanting to join in.
Meanwhile, I'm going to go brainstorm and go image hunting which I haven't done in a while. :P
OH, and I'm Rose. I follow Deepz around, Deepz follows me around. It's a never ending cycle of following. I'm a 20 year old female going into her junior year of college. I like the Legend of Zelda, clumsy and/or badass female characters, music, manga, and a plethora of other things. I'm also very talkative it seems... uhh...
-waddles away before she tells the thread her entire life story-
Ye. Thanks for the welcome! :D It's good to have internet again.
In other news, I found out when I go back to school. I'll be moving on Friday and then my final is on Monday, I believe. So that weekend I may be doing a lot of studying. And then on Sunday, I'll either be messing around with my friends I haven't seen in a while or doing more studying. So until things settle down, I may not post with any haste. Though, this RP isn't moving quickly enough for that to really be a problem. I'm sure I could crank out some posts if I needed to. It helps to take break from studying anyway.
30+ year old writer.

<br><br>She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. <br><br>Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...<br><br>He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her. <br><br>"..Miss? For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.<br><br>His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.<br><br>"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"<br><br>"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.<br><br>"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.<br><br>"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."<br><br>"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.<br><br>"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.<br><br>"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."<br><br>Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.<br><br>Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.<br><br>Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.<br><br>Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"<br><br>His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.<br><br>The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.<br><br>She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.<br><br>"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.<br><br>Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...<br><br>"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"<br><br>The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.<br><br>"Yes... I can hear you..."<br><br>"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.<br><br>"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.<br><br>"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"<br><br>"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.<br><br>"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.<br><br>"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.<br><br>"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Raira had always been a free spirit. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...<br><br>She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.<br><br>Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.<br><br>Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.<br><br>"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.<br><br>"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.<br><br>"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.<br><br>"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.<br><br>"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.<br><br>Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.<br><br>Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.<br><br>When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.<br><br>"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.<br><br>She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.<br><br>From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.<br><br>It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.<br><br>"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.<br><br>"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.<br><br>"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.<br><br>"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.<br><br>Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.</div></div><br><br><span class="bb-b">Catch me on;</span><br><br>FlightRising - HylianRose<br>Pokefarm Q - HylianRoze<br>Discord - Ask!<br></div>
