Name: Veena Shodin
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Personality:

Fun loving and calm, Veena takes after her father, someone she often looked up to. She isn't afraid to take chances and it can often end up biting her in the butt in one way or another but she bounces back pretty quickly. She's not one for taking things lying down and is loyal to those she deems worthy.

She is very athletic and loves running around with her pokemon in the mornings, taking it as her time to think to herself and bond with her pokemon. Mornings are very important to them and without this morning run, her day usually doesn't go so well.

When it comes to disliking and liking things, Veena is open to just about everything and is willing to at least try something once, just so she at least tell her father she tried when he tries to heckle her about it.

Veena lives her life with eyes wide open, knowing that each day would bring some new adventure, something else to enjoy.

Appearance:

Dark brown hair frames her tanned small face, oval in shape. She gets her eyes from her mother as they are large and a very deep shade of blue, the only feature she gets from her mother. She is relatively short (5'), a staple of her even shorter father but is built very well and is very flexible. She enjoys training with her pokemon, doing yoga and other such activities.

Her wardrobe usually includes tight sleeveless shirts of varying colors, black and white being her favorites, and black skinny jeans. Her shoes are boots her mother designed a long while back and were a test pair she'd given to her daughter. The gloves were a gift from her breeder father.

History:

Veena grew up in a rather roller-coaster type life, never sure what sort of mood her parents would be in when they were together. After a while, her mother moved out of the nursery, tired of her father's (And his baby pokemon's) shenanigans, and rented her own studio where she began making and designing her own clothing line.

Veena, though she spent most of her time with her father in the nursery, also spent a good deal of time with her mother's brother, Uncle Joe, who by some miracle, had managed to separate himself from the drama occurring in their family (Grandfather never did like like his daughter's choice in men). Her mother's side of the family was very well off, unlike her father's side who were not wealthy but not poor either and were content to stay that way. Uncle Joe had always been the person she'd run to when things weren't going very well in her own home and he taught her the power of meditation and the beauty of psychic pokemon and the comfort they could bring.

When she turned 10, he gave her her first pokemon, despite her father's insisting on taking his own pokemon for her. Uncle Joe gave her a male Ralts who she later named Arthur. Since then, she became fast friends with this pokemon, learning all sort of things along side him. He and she often when to Uncle Joe's house in Agate Village and would train and meditate together.

When she was 14, her father insisted that she take on another pokemon, this time one he'd bred for her. She couldn't exactly say no but she'd never had any intentions of having anyone at her side besides Arthur. However, she fell in love immediately with the pokemon he'd given her. A Riolu, small but fiesty. She laughed watching her try to attack every pokemon that seemed to even try to look at her wrong and she reminded her a lot of her mother. Which was why she decided to name her Vie, her mother's name being Violet. She had to deal with the jealousies between the two pokemon as well, which helped her grow as a trainer, though she'd rather have avoided it in the first place. Ralts wasn't exactly the strongest pokemon and Vie easily knocked him out, something she had to constantly scold him for.

Home town: Phenac City
Starting Pokemon:

Ralts Lvl 10

Riolu Lvl 5

It still needs some work but I'm going to post it up right now as is because I need to go to a meeting now. Also, I may not be joining still, but I've really been craving a pokemon RP and I can't just... not try. Anyway, there she is. I'll finish her up later tonight.
:D
vnfjvnfv -rolls around mumbling strange incoherent words-

I missed you too!
Christmas episode.

You are more than welcome to do a small side project set in the past where characters have a Christmas party or something. Make a pad, set up a group PM, etc for it and have fun. Once finals are over, I'll be starting this things back up with the same Friday posting rotation thingy and will have time if we'd like to do a Christmas side project.
Just so you have an understanding of the things I'm working on and the work load I'm under,

All of this is due within the next two weeks so I'm going to be hitting the grind stone. I'm sorry if the hiatus is upsetting to any of you but for those of you still in school -looks at NK-, I'm hoping this is giving you a chance to also keep up with school work. I know it's not hard to make the small posts I've been making every Friday, I get that, but when I'm not stressing the fuck out, I'm trying to calm down by watching TV. I really, really, really want to make a post for you guys because I'm having like.... withdrawals but with the care that I put into this RP, I don't want to do a shit job. So ye...

However, I don't want to see the OOC stagnant either. Sooooo, how is everyone doing? I'm stressed and buried under papers that need to be written. I'll be glad when it's all done and I can chill for Christmas.

OH, I know...

What does everyone want for Christmas? :D
@NarayanK How did I not expect that?
"I hadn't considered Choir because I don't think I'm that good. But maybe, if you wanted, you could coach me. So that I might actual have a chance at getting in."

Her head still on the desk, pencil in hand, Maggie blinked. She wasn't really sure if what she'd just heard was in her head or not considering the quiet tone in which Audrey spoke but she knew she didn't want to pass up the chance of having someone she at least partially knew in the Choir.

"Girl, I can coach the ever-living crap out of you." Maggie replied as she eagerly swiveled her body to face Audrey's. "Besides, you have to start somewhere, right? I'm sure you'll do fine. Though..." She paused, trailing off as she thought of what to say next, "I think our first lesson would have to be on projecting." She explained, chuckling to herself. She gave her new friend a soft smile, hoping it would at least make the girl feel a bit better about her singing voice.

"What kind of singing experience do you have? Like... Sunday Church singing, singing in the shower, singing in the rain... Yanno..." She explained, stopping herself from singing the song, "Singin' in the Rain."
Maggie looked up from doodling on her notebook when she heard Audrey greet her. Turning around she gave the girl a toothy grin. "You know, when we met at that Open House thing, I didn't honestly think we'd have almost the exact same schedule. It's like... we were fated to be, yanno?" She began, already moving past pleasantries.

"You know, I saw a weird rumor online last night. Some of the girls that graduated last year were saying this teacher is a total pervert." She explained. "And everything you read on the internet has to be true." She added, sticking her nose up in a dramatic way. She snickered to herself before laying her head down on Audrey's desk. "So... uhh... Were you at all interested in joining the choir?" She asked.

Wait... what if she feels obligated to join just because I asked?

... Her head shot up to look Audrey in the eyes, her eyes as wide as a deer's in headlights.

"I mean, you don't have to. I just... It's just... I... I was going to join and... having a friend would be nice. But if it's not your thing, that's fine. I'll just... I'll find someone in the choir or something." She mumbled, her face falling as the smile turned into something more awkward and tame. "Actually, no... forget it. I'm just... being annoying again." She stammered, suddenly turning back around with a speed that could provide good AC if she could keep it up. Her head fell down to her desk and she picked up her pencil to begin doodling again, having lost all of her courage.
Maggie smiled greedily at the mirror before her. She'd arrived to the school fairly early and had already been acquainted with her first block teacher who had given her her locker numbers when she arrived. She didn't really feel like sitting in the cold classroom all alone so she stayed in the hallway, listening to the soft buzz of chatter around her as she checked her make up one last time.

"That just might do it..." She spoke to herself, winking at herself in the mirror before slamming the metal door shut. With a tug at her sweater and a quick swivel, she was facing the north side of the building and walking down the hall back towards her first block where people were quietly piling in at this point. She bit her lip, a nervous habit she had when meeting new people. Her mother had often scolded her for it, saying that she needn't be so nervous around people, it only made things worse.

Maggie sighed and released her lips from the prison of her teeth and put on a soft expression, one she hoped conveyed content and welcomed friendship. With that, she entered the room and took her seat at the front of the classroom, pencil and paper already on her desk.
