She was running. That's all she knew in that moment. One moment, she was having a nice relaxing bath, the next she was running through the woods butt naked, wondering how the hell she got there. Had she been drugged? Was the rest of her family okay? Where was she running to? She stopped after a few minutes of running, her mind racing with what to do. She hadn't seen a single damn building out here. Her next thought went to who would do this? Why would they do this? And where the hell were they now.
She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. Every step was painful, every step was starting to feel like her last. She wasn't built for this, for survival out in the woods with nothing but her birthday suit to protect her. She was going to die out here. As the thought hit her, she stopped, dead in her tracks and plopped down onto her knees to cry, sobbing after a moment.
Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...
He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her.
"..Miss? Are you okay?"
A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.
His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. It was mostly unknown to him the animosity between the two breeds, but it became very apparent when he told his parents about his new friend, only be told to stop spending time with him. That only made the young dragon want to see his friend more. He needed to know what was so bad about his breed that his parents would openly demand he stop seeing him. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.
"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"
"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.
"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.
"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."
"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.
"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.
"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. The only person willing to join him was his sister, Raira. She was more than willing to leave, more out of a desire to be free from her parents than anything. Ambrose not joining him, didn't deter the young dragon. As soon as he was old enough to really grow into his wings, he approached his father and let him know of his intentions. As expected, the older dragon was none to happy to hear this, but respected his son's wishes. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.
Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. They settled on the branches of the Behemoth, who branches held the Gladebough Village. Cuprite and his sister met their respective mates here among the other clans and convinced them to join them. Since then, they have welcomed dragons into their growing community. Cuprite rules their clan as "King" with a firm hand and a gentle voice. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.
Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.
Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.
One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"
His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.
The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.
She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.
"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.
Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.
"Yes... I can hear you..."
"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.
"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.
"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"
"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.
"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.
"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.
"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.
Raira had always been a free spirit. From the moment she was born, she had been contrary to her parents. It wasn't as if she lived to disagree with them, but she certainly had a mind of her own and nothing anyone said could dissuade her from doing what she wanted to do. Stubborn to a fault. The last thing Raira ever wanted was to be in charge of an entire clan but despite that, when given the opportunity to leave her little Lightning Clan to explore the greater world with her brother, she took it. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...
She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.
Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. Pache, a male Fae dragon who despite being hard for her to understand, had become her closest friend and confidant. She could tell him anything and he would always listen with eyes that seemed to always understand her feelings. She'd often sneak him into her nest to hang out with her, since he was small enough to hide in her wings. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.
Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.
"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.
"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.
"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.
"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.
"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.
Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.
Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.
When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.
"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.
She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.
From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. The true turning point in their relationship, however, came on a hunt Bercilak had accompanied Raira, her brother, and her brother's mate, Eden. The four were prowling the groves below the village. Eden and Cuprite split off, Raira assumed to go have some alone time. The thought alone made her incredibly jealous and she stuck her tongue out after her brother before continuing on. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.
It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.
"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.
"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.
"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.
"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.
Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.
Yeah, I'm totally chill with him working at the Diner - or Huskers, either way.
I just wasn't going to approve any characters with a Huskers occupation besides the ones that had already been posted (including Caleb) because so many people had that listed under their occupations already with the few characters that were up for approval. So you're good to go either route.
There is already a background for Lou's, I'm just still working on our locations.
Oh, gotcha! Bet, then I'll change it back to Husker's and post him. Appreciate it!
@Sugar and Spite Updated Caleb's employment! (https://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/5645621) Let me know if this is alright and then I'll post him. Are there already plans for the background around Lou's Diner? If not, I'd be happy to come up with something. Thank you!

Personality:
Caleb is a directionless fuckboy. He hides anxiety and fear with humor and charm. His heart silently breaks as he watches others move through life more easily than he does. He can't stand seeing other people do well, jealousy and hatred hitting him like gut punches. He can't help the small sense of satisfaction when others experience the same living hell that he does, nor can he help the guilt that follows.
Beyond the oppressive feeling of worthlessness, Caleb is actually a fairly intelligent and soft person. He likes to hide this behind an idiotic himbo persona he's crafted for himself because it's harder to disappoint if they never expected anything from you to begin with. You're always a winner when the bar is laying on the ground.
Caleb's self-loathing manifests as risk taking and thrill seeking. It's nothing visible, and not usually very public. He drives a little too fast on empty roads, not hoping to crash, but not necessarily caring if he does. He escalates arguments into fights, enjoying the feeling of the pain a few punches to his gut gives him.
He can sometimes be a little pessimistic and callused, especially when it comes to topics of hope and growth. He thinks he's in a hole and there's no amount of struggle that will get him out of it. Fated to end up exactly like his father.
History:
Caleb grew up the "Star Boy" Quarterback. He was one of the ones that everyone was convinced would escape this place. He was lined up to get that scholarship for his top school, he'd get into the big leagues and he could get his parents out of that damned trailer park. He was a teen filled with all the dreams that came with his affinity for athletics. He liked the way using his body felt and enjoyed the attention it got him. Pines Holler High was his school as far as he was concerned. He learned early on that love came loud and publicly, but only when he was winning.
So, when he first twisted his knee during practice, he ignored it. He even went so far as to hide it. He pushed through with pure adrenaline, letting that carry him through games. He couldn't afford to miss any games, he couldn't afford to slack off or miss work either. His dad lost his job and got put on disability when he was in his Junior year and his mom was a night nurse, so his part time night job at Clarks was part of the family's income too. The pain becomes background noise and he wraps it up tighter, chokes the pain down, finds ways to cope. He started stealing halves of his father's prescription pain meds. Not enough to anyone to notice, but enough to help him take the edge off.
The end of his senior year, he applied for a scholarship for a full ride to the College of his choice and his chances were extremely high. He finally had it, his escape plan, a way out of this shit hole of a town. He would not end up like his father. He'd make something of himself.
So, when the Scouters showed up at one of the games unexpectedly, Caleb locked in. He played one of the best games he'd ever had and was riding a high from the cheers of the crowd. This was it.
And then it happened. He took a hit that normally wouldn't have phased him, sure it would have hurt, but he could tough through it and break through. But his legs wouldn't listen to him. His right knee buckled unnaturally and he felt a sharp pain as he crumpled to the ground. The rest of the night was a blur. Ambulance lights, his mother crying, doctor's shaking their heads, more crying. A week later, after the surgery, he received a letter postponing his scholarship. He felt his dream slip away as the doctors told him that he likely could not continue playing such an intensive sport. His mind drifted, as if he was looking down on himself from above. This couldn't be real. His destiny was not to end up like his father. He was supposed to be somebody.
The rest of his senior year went by quickly. He got angry and took it out on others when it suited him, He got into fights and pushed people buttons. He, quite honestly, barely graduated. Several months later, he started his job at the Lumber Company, which was the only job he could find at the time. He'd have laughed if it didn't hurt so much.
Caleb mellowed out after a while. He was still angry, but it was less intense. He started using humor to cope and hide his pain. He put on a mask that suited him, one that hopefully showed everyone that he was just fine, back to the Caleb they all knew and loved. But, inside he hated himself.
When the Lumber Company shut down, it felt like a gut punch. Now, not even the dead-end job that crippled his father was good enough for him. He swallowed his pride, helped out in the community where he could. He could be an ass, but he wasn't a bastard. He started doing free yardwork for those who had lost their jobs in his spare time. At least, when he wasn't job hunting. He started working at Husker's just a week ago and he's honestly been enjoying himself. He gets to flirt with the girls that come in and the girls that come in bring in more business, a real win-win. Hell, it was less labor intensive than the Parton's. He actually jumps at the chance to load inventory off the truck.
Extra Facts // Headcannons:
Caleb thinks he couldn't care less about the expansion and growth of Pines Holler. But in reality, he's scared. Scared that the town will outgrow him and even this shit hole will be too good for him. It might be a shit hole but it's his shit hole, dammit.
Caleb likes to find little ways to help out around the town. Despite himself, he enjoys the attention he gets and it makes him feel better. Might be a selfish reason to do it, but hey. At least he's doing it.
Caleb is a heavy drinker. He doesn't get shit-faced often, but the comfortable buzz helps his knee stop hurting so damn much.
His knee never actually fully recovered and he unconsciously likes it that way. He pushes past his limits knowing it fucks with his knee. He hides the limp pretty well these days, but occasionally, on particularly rainy days, it gets pretty bad.
Caleb absolutely has a pain kink. Fuck him up, sis. (OOC: Nothing intense, please. Happy to discuss!)
Caleb had a pet dog growing up, but it ran away when he was 13. They never got another one.

Distinguishing features: Strong eyebrows, sharp jawline. Slightly crooked nose from a fight when he was younger. Smells like leather and smoke. Clothing Preferences: Nikolai prefers darker colored clothing and tends to wear his clothes much more casually than other men his age, while still keeping to fashion norms. He still cares very much about appearances, but mainly to the opposite sex. Nikolai knows his appeal and runs with it. He very much likes the attention. Loathes wearing white or light clothing and often has a scowl on his face when forced to.

Willingness toward friends(1-5): 5 - Friends are invaluable resource and can get you out of some rather dicey situations. Willingness toward romance(1-5): 5* - While Nikolai can be very guarded in his approach to love, he has no qualms with seeking the warmth of the opposite sex or their company. Getting to know him deeper can be a bit of a challenge, however.
Dislikes: - Writing (Read: terrible at it, chicken scratch) - Dancing (Read: terrible at it) - Singing (Read: terrible at it) - Losing - Smart-Asses - Looking Stupid - Mirrors unsettle him in ways he cannot put to words. Which is odd for a man seemingly so sure of himself.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Hobbies: - Women - Bartending - Card Games
Main Ambition: Nikolai wants to understand his dreams and uncover his lost time. While he is not a fan of his grandfather's manipulation, he values his duty and does as he is asked.
Personality Summary: Nikolai is a playful, charismatic man who knows how handsome he is and makes a point to use it to his advantage. He is dangerous in the way that ruined men are often dangerous. Playful scandals lick at his heels but his nightmares leave a heavy weight in his eyes. His humor and charm are used as armor to protect himself, keeping others at a comfortable distance. What he lacks in book smarts, he makes up for in his ability to schmooze his way out of trouble. Nikolai can be rather self-destructive as well, taking risks that others might be more caution of. He drinks, gambles, smokes, and otherwise likes to play on the edge of danger. Deep down, he is afraid of what his dreams could mean, of the violence and anger he feels and how easily it comes to him. Still, Nikolai is no true monster, he is especially tender towards women in his life he believes deserve better than him.

History Summary: Nikolai doesn't remember much of his early childhood. He only remembers vague memories of coming to the house with his grandfather after a long trip when he was 16. Nikolai never lacked for anything, except perhaps affection. There was a small part of him that thought his father genuinely hated him but tried, without much success, to hide it. He'd seen the way his father would look at him from time to time, like he was a disgusting rat running a muck in his home, something unwelcomed and unwanted. Or like something dangerous threatening his way of life. His mother, however was a different story. She was beauty and grace and loved him with everything she had in her. It was usually her protecting him from his grandfather's grasp, though he never knew it at the time. She passed when he was 19, illness. It took a toll on him and his father only got more openly cruel to him.
A little over a year ago, Nikolai's father passed away in a riding accident. It would be hard to say that grief had taken over him, considering how little love he had for the man, but there was certain sadness in never truly knowing why he seemed to hate him so, or if he even did. The fact that he will now never know is something that will haunt him.
Recently, Nikolai has begun having hellish nightmares. They leave him soaked in sweat and occasionally, he's woken to scratches along his arms, likely his own doing. In his dream, he is faced with a hideous beast of a man, his eyes glowing red and his claw like hands drenched slick with blood. Nikolai cowers in the corner, too afraid to move as the monstrous man comes closer. His face is always obscured by his hair, but he can never help but feel a strange familiarity. Who is that man? Why does he feel so.. real? There is a small part of him that wonders if he is that man... He always wakes with horrendous migraines and a hazy memory of his dream.
A week ago, his grandfather sent him a letter. A threat disguised as comfort. "My condolences on the loss of your father, dear Nikolai. However, time is of the essence. You must find a wife within the year or I will be forced to strip you of your title. While you travel to Caesonia, I have been asked by a friend to have you guard their daughter. A recent event has left the family terribly afraid for her wellbeing so I have kindly offered you to be her bodyguard. I expect to hear good things from you soon. Travel safely."
A shackle if he'd ever seen one. He knew his grandfather had plans in mind, a wife he wanted and he would pull any strings he could to get the connections and power he desired. Nikolai was a mere pawn to him. Still, he couldn't very well abandon his family's legacy. And so, the young noble traveled to Caesonia in search of a wife and to protect this young woman.

History Did you grow up nurtured or neglected?: I'd say nurtured? I guess? My mother and the servants, at least, took good care of me. When you were upset, where was your sanctuary?: It wouldn't be a sanctuary anymore if I told you, would it? What were you like in your teenage years?: A cheeky little brat. I loved chasing the other girls around in town, and generally got up to some relative mischief. I started to trained to become a Varian Knight when I was 19, so from there my time was rather tied up. I still found ways to get myself in trouble though, don't you fret. How close are you to your parents?: My mother was a goddess and a saint. My father was a bastard. Do you have any trauma that haunts you?: I'm not sure. What advice would you give your younger self?: When Susette says she'll be right back, she's lying. Just go home and forget about her! Were you an obedient child or defiant?: Depends on the parent. What is your biggest regret?:I'd argue that I'm too young for regrets. Kinda regret not asking that girl to dance at that one party though. She was pretty. Really pretty.
Romance Have you ever been in love? :Nah. What is most important in a partner to you? Describe your dream partner.:I don't know, I'll tell you when I meet her. How do you display affection? What is your love language? Uh.. I don't know. Touch? I don't really do that kind of shit, honestly. Have you had your first kiss? What was it like?:Yeah. It was cold and wet. Kind of... awkward, if I'm honest. She was.. interesting. Followed me around like a lost puppy for a month after. Hated it. Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?:Maybe. Are you currently crushing on anyone?: Nope. Well, unless you count that girl from Irinaburg who came to visit her wealthy uncle. Lots of interesting juice details from that one. Do you ever consider having children in the future?:Not really. Like.. I wouldn't hate it, but I've never actually considered it before.
Personality Describe your ideal Sunday morning:Beer, women, money. Not necessarily in that order. What kind of person do you aspire to be?:I've never really thought about it before... I guess... someone who accomplishes great things? Does that sound good? Or should I say I aspire to be the greatest womanizer in all the land? What bad habits do you have?:Women. If you could go back in time and change anything in your past, what would it be?:You know this would be a great question to ask someone who had memories of their past. What is your greatest fear?:Isolation, lose of control, spiders... What are your pet peeves?: Clingy women. When you are in a sour mood, do you like to be alone or with others?: Alone, usually. My sour moods usually involve breaking things. Are you more likely to fight with your fists or your tongue?: Fists.

Caleb Dalton || 27 || FC: Jacob Rott || #808000 || Former Quarterback who had it all but an injury that he ignored shattered any dreams he had of leaving Pines Holler. He used to work at Parton's where his father had worked before him, but as his shitty luck would have it, even the dead-end job that crippled his father wasn't good enough for him. Themes; Self-Loathing, Class Clown Behavior as a Mask, Risk Taking/Thrill Seeking, etc.
Looking at using Jacob Rott as my FC for a jock who had it all but kept ignoring an injury and ended up losing it all and spiraling once he wasn't the "star boy" anymore. Lots of self-destruction, risks, fights, etc.
Height: 5'4" Weight: 128 lbs Eye Color: Hazel Brown Hair Length/Texture: Long and wavy Hair Color: Umber Brown (appears almost black) Skin Color: Porcelain with red undertones Facial details(freckles, moles, etc): Prominent eyebrows and a mole under her right eye Distinguishing features: Faint tattoo on the back of her hand of a witch symbol, marking her as part of an experiment. Clothing Preferences: Nora can usually be found wearing long dresses with sleeves that extend down to her wrist very snugly. She tends to favor darker tones and outfits that cover more of her skin.
ᴘꜱʏᴄʜᴏʟᴏɢʏ ᴘꜱʏᴄʜᴏʟᴏɢʏ
Willingness toward friends(1-5): 4 - Apprehension lurks behind a girl who just wants to be saved. She views most people as the enemy since she's felt betrayed by those who she loved the most dearly. She's half anxiety, half rage. Willingness toward romance(1-5): 5 - Nora has always dreamed of a prince charming sweeping her off of her feet and saving her. When she was younger, she would draw pictures of little knights saving little princesses. Nowadays, she day dreams about a man who could save her from herself, though she has little faith it could ever happen.
Main Ambition: Nora wants, more than anything, to lead a normal life, free from what she considers a curse and free from her powers. While she wants to uphold her families traditions, as she sees true witchbloods as inherently good, her experience with magic has left her less than inclined to ever use it.
Personality Summary: Nora is a relatively sweet girl. For all the trauma she's endured, she can have a very upbeat attitude from time to time. For the most part, however, she is quiet and observant. She is constantly and always looking for signs that she has offended someone or that they might try something with her. Nora is also quiet anxious and is very easily frightened.
Nora is more likely to look for ways to appease than to argue. When fights break out, she's ducking under a table to hide. A lifetime of trying has killed any desire she had to rebel. Still, there's a certain fire in her eyes and you can usually tell at a glance that deep down, she wants to unleash all sorts of hell upon those who would cross her.

What Kingdom are you from, and what town were you born in?: Varian, Irinaburg
Current occupation: Daughter to the Count Sven Pawonska
Any past occupations?: None

Nora grew up in a loving, if not a little mysterious, home. Growing up, Nora was the picture of naivety and bliss. She would blab to anyone who would listen and loved to meet new people. If something bad happened, she often didn't even realize it was bad. One day, her mother forgot to check on her and she'd gotten lost in the forest. 12 hours later, she wandered back home just as happy as could be. Her mother, other the other hand...
When Nora was old enough to pick up a sword, she was trained by her father. Every day held some sort of combat training for her and her siblings. Nora never cared much for it, but she loved the chance to spend time with her father and expel some of that pent up energy she held inside. She grew to love fencing, swordplay, archery, and horseriding.
When Nora was old enough to understand, her father introduced her and her siblings to their ancestry and the artifact they would have to defend. Nora, at this point, was excited. In her mind, it was a way to prove her worth and she felt proud to have this duty. She studied diligently and practiced fervently, all as a means to prove that she was needed, she could be of use. The idea of that brought her immense satisfaction.
One year, however, while she was out with her siblings, they had spotted a group of children crying. One of them had dropped their teddy bear. Nora, wanting to dry their tears, cast a spell to project little twinkling lights to distract the children while her brother, Magnus, jumped in after the teddy bear. She kicked at her brother to dry the doll as best he would before they presented it back to the children. They were thrilled to bits at the return of their stuffed friend. The siblings all left feeling all the world like little heros.
It was a few days later, when their father Sven was explaining that Nora would be leaving for a time. Nora and Elena sobbed, trying to explain the situation while their father spoke. But there was no backing out of this. Nora would spend some time at the Asylum in Caesonia and receive treatment. When she returned, they would work on her decision making skills.
And so, Nora left, still sobbing uncontrollably as she watched her siblings fade from view as the carriage took her away. It was a rough ride and Nora continued crying for at least another hour before going silent altogether.
The first few days at the Asylum were... manageable. Nora refused to speak to anyone, always keeping her head down and her hands firmly clasped in her lap. It wasn't until she met the doctor that things truly started to go down hill.
To this day, Nora refuses to speak of what happened to her at the Asylum but it was very clear to any who knew her that she had changed. Where there had been spark of life before, now was fear and loathing. The only people she spoke candidly to were her siblings. They knew everything that had happened to her. She grew to hate her parents and the life she had been given. She grew to hate anyone that wasn't one of her two siblings. Anyone could be an enemy. Anyone.

History Did you grow up nurtured or neglected?: Depends on your definition. When you were upset, where was your sanctuary?: The forest, I used to pretend I was a Princess lost in the woods and that someone would come save me. No one ever did. What were you like in your teenage years?:I'm not sure anymore. How close are you to your parents?:I don't wish death on them, but the less I see them, the better. I do not trust them. Do you have any trauma that haunts you?:Yes. What advice would you give your younger self?:Run. Were you an obedient child or defiant?:Obedient. I wanted nothing more than to be of use to someone. I suppose I still do. What is your biggest regret?:What regret can a child have at the hands of their parents' actions? I have no regrets.
Romance Have you ever been in love? :Do storybook characters count? What is most important in a partner to you? Describe your dream partner.:The prince in my head is tall, strong and capable. He sweeps me off of my feet and protects me. He keeps me close and guides me. He would never be scared of me or fear my powers. He would see all of my faults and love me still. How do you display affection? What is your love language?:I.. don't know. Have you had your first kiss? What was it like?:No. Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?:Of course I do! Are you currently crushing on anyone?:...I've always had a crush on the stable boy that worked with our horses. He still works for us, but I don't think he can look at me the same way... Do you ever consider having children in the future?:I don't know. Yes, but no. I guess... It's just complicated.
Personality Describe your ideal Sunday morning:Sleeping the morning away, my sister curled up with me. What kind of person do you aspire to be?:I just want to be useful, helpful, kind, loved. What bad habits do you have?:If you asked Magnus, I spend too long in the bath. If you asked Elena, I'm a raging kleptomaniac who keeps stealing her clothes (which is true). But me? I'm flawless. I don't know what you could ever mean... If you could go back in time and change anything in your past, what would it be?:What change can a child make against their parent's choice? What power did I have? What agency was I afforded? I refuse to regret helping those children. I refuse to regret doing good. What is your greatest fear?:Death. What are your pet peeves?: I have a sensitive nose, so I can't stand foul smells or strong odors. I don't like it when people talk about ghosts, I hate them! When you are in a sour mood, do you like to be alone or with others?: Depends on the others. If I trust you, then I'd not mind being with you. If I don't know you, I'd much rather find a small dark space to hide in. Are you more likely to fight with your fists or your tongue?: ...neither? I'm more of a run away kind of girl.
The checks are meets it beats it, so it means either has the opportunity to make the check. Higher checks are usually more pivotal things, and I'd withhold that information. But by that logic yes people can fail checks when they attempt them. It would then be my role to write the failure and what that results in.

<br><br>She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. <br><br>Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...<br><br>He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her. <br><br>"..Miss? For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.<br><br>His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.<br><br>"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"<br><br>"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.<br><br>"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.<br><br>"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."<br><br>"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.<br><br>"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.<br><br>"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."<br><br>Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.<br><br>Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.<br><br>Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.<br><br>Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"<br><br>His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.<br><br>The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.<br><br>She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.<br><br>"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.<br><br>Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...<br><br>"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"<br><br>The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.<br><br>"Yes... I can hear you..."<br><br>"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.<br><br>"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.<br><br>"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"<br><br>"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.<br><br>"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.<br><br>"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.<br><br>"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.</div></div><br><br><div class="hider-panel"><div class="hider-heading"><button type="button" class="btn btn-default btn-xs hider-button" data-name="Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising)">Even More Dragon Lore (Flight Rising) [+]</button></div><div class="hider-body" style="display: none">Raira had always been a free spirit. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...<br><br>She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.<br><br>Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.<br><br>Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.<br><br>"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.<br><br>"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.<br><br>"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.<br><br>"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.<br><br>"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.<br><br>Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.<br><br>Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.<br><br>When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.<br><br>"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.<br><br>She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.<br><br>From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.<br><br>It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.<br><br>"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.<br><br>"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.<br><br>"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.<br><br>"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.<br><br>Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.</div></div><br><br><span class="bb-b">Catch me on;</span><br><br>FlightRising - HylianRose<br>Pokefarm Q - HylianRoze<br>Discord - Ask!<br></div>
