A police officer came to my door; said he was looking for suspect with one eye. I told him he'd probably have an easier time if he used both eyes.

Bio

Not born in a log cabin, I came into the RPing venture around 2009 and quickly joined about twenty roleplays more than I should have at the time. I've been around the internet in that time span, participated in and run RPs on multiple forums, and brushed shoulders with a wide variety of players and characters. Getting to work with new people has always been part of the allure of the experience.

My interests in RPing are pretty diverse, and not genre-specific; if there's room at the table and I can think of a dish to serve, I'll cook something up for just about any meal. If you know what I mean.

I'm trying to think of how we could have them be found by the others. Should it be at the same time or on different occasions? Would it be okay if they were in the same location?

@Ducksworth

Accepted. Please move them to the CS thread.

My thoughts for Sarah are that they already have a pin on her location. Maybe Donald Baker pulls a Nick Fury and is already in her home when she walks in and talks her into joining. Some spiel about properly honoring her late mentor by putting her training to better use.
@Eviledd1984

If it's something you can entertain, I was hoping to have Sarah's first couple of turns having her being 'found' and talked into actually joining the team (rather than her having already been recruited.

Hound is.

Plenty reason for me not to then.

He's writing a character with Chi Manipulation powers.

K.

Not sure what this reply was meant to accomplish, but OK.
A tempting venture. Not sure what character I'd run though. This feels a little more grounded than other superhuman RPs I'm in; might not be the ideal setting for Chi Manipulation. At best, the character would play out differently.

Here, here. I can't stand people who grandstand and virtue-signal against AI images in this context. I'm like, "Dude, it's a roleplaying game!".

At this stage, my aversion to AI is less about gatekeeping creativity (save for like, people using AI to write posts and such) and moreso regarding the apparent energy consumption and environmental impact associated with it. The fact that it's being implemented into everything without consent is also a point of annoyance.

That being said, my foremost standard for AI is staying my hand on the whole putting peoples' likeness through programs to make images; the real life-to-artwork conversion never really comes cleanly anyways; before I settled on this policy, I had put an RL image of a character face claim through an AI conversion program to make it anime/comic style, and it up and turmed a person-of-color into a white person and I'm like 'keeping that part the same should have been easy.' 🤷‍♂️

Awaiting GM's decision on my submission.
For review.
