Personality:
Playful, outgoing and ‘confident’, Yuusha seemed to make friends with almost everyone. Not the kind you would expect to play a VRMMO like SAO, but here he is. Paired with his confidence, he tends to be a bit sharp-tongued- after all, he stands by his opinions and instincts, earning him the detestment of his fair share of people. Yuusha is known to possess a very mischievous behavior and can be very devious, if he feels like it. Consequently, he is fond of teasing his friends and foes alike.

However, another side of him that has yet to completely unfold (not that he wants it to), is that he is rather insecure, and as a result he tends to shoulder any burden brought down on him by his own will and effort. Yuusha has only shown this part of himself to his closest friends- and even then, are they rarely graced by that side of him. Not wanting to cause them any unnecessary trouble.
Another peculiar trait that has grown in him due to the nature of his upbringing, is that, he always blames himself for any situation, whether he is right or wrong. He always has an inclination to believe that it is his inadequacy that causes the situation to happen. He always holds himself accountable for anything wrong that takes place.

Brief Real Life Background:
Yuusha’s insecurity stems from from his family ostracizing him due to the lack of resemblance towards his parents- They often called him an “illegitimate child”. The distraught son’s brothers and sisters always took that comment to heart, or rather, an excuse to abuse and order him around to do their biddings. Due to his above-average looks, catering to both masculine and feminine features- his siblings, girl and boy alike always held a little grudge against their little brother, envying their youngest brother’s looks. Yuusha always turned the other cheek and never reported his siblings for their misdeeds. After having his own siblings shut him out and use him as a tool, he felt the need to always look for approval from other people.

Yuusha looked to the world of SAO as a means of escapism from the torment he received at home- his parents not caring for him at all. Yuusha was forced to ‘pirate’ the game and thus landed himself in the second server.

For a brief moment, he can activate ‘Surge’, a skill he managed to develop after rigorous training.
Surge increases dexterity, drastically improving his agility and weapon speed. This also causes him to be almost unseen to the eyes of a novice player. This effect only lasts for 15 seconds and can’t be used too much as this drains alot of his stamina very quickly. (As the story progresses, I want to evolve this skill.)

Levi actually found himself some time, between the crime and other engagements that had come up recently. He was in a secluded forest, it's usual and vibrant green, and calming brown replaced by a dull sizzle of red and charcoal darkness. Levi had been practicing his craft in this forest and had taken a slight toll on it. He was panting, wiping sweat off his brow as he stood in-front of a charred tree, he needed to practice how to use his powers where it wouldn't completely drain him in a fight and efficiently use it, otherwise he'd end up dead.

As he stood infront of the tree, thinking of how to reduce his exhaustion, he felt a presence on top of the tree to his right, almost sinister. Glancing at it with one eye, he shot an arc of lightning towards the branch he felt presence with. His yellow lightning looked as if it was absorbed and dissipated in a crackle of light red. Levi froze, he remembered this feeling and it only happens when she's here.

A shadow moved the branch slightly, then a figure suddenly appeared before him, a feminine figure. Crackles of lightning wrapping around her legs in a flash of white, tinge with purple. A sense of familiarity hit Levi as the figure smiled and said, "Leeeeeevi!", "What's with the hostility?" It was Avery, a sort-of teacher and long time friend of Levi. She stood imposingly, and also in a pose, her hands to her sides, along with her goofy grin. Levi's eyes widened, his yellow pupils being shown moreso than before. Levi jumped up and gave her a hug, "Woah. Where'd that come from?" Avery said teasingly before returning the hug.

"So you were training huh?" she asked unsurprised, "You were always hardworking, I'm sure you'll surpass me very soon. Hell even that shot earlier was intense." She then began to help him with his training, telling him how to use his powers properly, as she had the same powerset except that her mastery over it was many times better than Levi's. Levi would bet that right now, she's one of the strongest 'hero 'for' hire' at the moment. Though, she was like a migratory bird, she could come and go as she wanted. The last time Levi saw her was two years ago, so the hug was warranted.

"Heard about this Umbra fellow." she said in the middle of playing with her lightning, turning it into a soft, purplish kitten. "I don't think I can help, I've got a lead on the EHLM scientist and Millenium city was in the way so I decided to visit. Anyways, they don't need little old me when they have you Levi!"
"... I think you may be a better asset. You see there's this team forming, some strike-force that'll take Umbra down." Levi replied in between breaths of air due to the usage of his powers, "Still after the EHLM scientist huh... please call me if you need assistance, I'll try to rush there, but I don't think you'd me with my skills."

"As humble as ever Levi, don't downplay your own abilities." she replied, hopping upwards, "I'll crash at your place for a few days aight."
"Alright." he said, almost preparing to leave since the day was slowly being engulfed by darkness.

As they were walking home, Levi and Avery were on top of a bridge, she eyed a man harassing a girl below the bridge, "Hey Levi, I'll teach you another fun trick." she said, motioning her to a gun with two barrels and aiming directly at the man. "Pew!" she continued as a small arc of lightning came out of her fingers and hit behind the man's kneecaps and made him fall on the floor. The girl being harassed promptly ran away. As per usual Levi was amazed at the power and accuracy she had, she needed to put a certain amount of power into that small arc for it to travel to that distance without sizzling out before it met the mans kneecaps.
"Impressive as always Avery." Levi said, mimicking her hand motion before turning away and walking.

"Thanks!" she replied in a giggle before following behind him like a waddling duck.

They reached Levi's home, and Levi made his way to the altar and bowed slightly before heading to his room, crashing into his bed because of his tiredness. Avery stayed at the living room, taking a solemn bow at the altar, and grabbing her bag she fished out a whiskey bottle and poured one for herself and Jaine. Avery talked the night away with Jaine's picture, about her travels, people she'd met and her experiences. She was slightly surprised at the condition of the altar, being perfect although it had been years...

Levi woke up, birds chirping and the low sun rising ever so slowly, he lazily eyed the clock and it was about 5:00 in the morning. Levi got up and walked to the shower, his eyes staring at the wall as he rinsed himself. He got out of the shower, his trousers on, with a towel hanging from his neck, he was heading to his room which passed the living room, Avery was a drunk mess infront of the altar, before turning back to the noise of feet shuffling behind him. Levi was standing there shirtless, slightly confused yet accepted it since it was Avery.
"Hehe~ your body's looking good Levi- *hic*, how many girls have you been screwing." she said in her drunken haze,
"What does 'screwing' mean?" Levi replied in his naivety with a confused upturned brow, he hadn't had time to think about relationships because of his 'work'.
"I- *hic*, forgot how cutely naive you were. But don't worry big sis' Avery will get you one." she continued, her breath dank.
"Don't overexert yourself." he replied in confusion before walking into his room and grabbing a shirt and heading into the kitchen to make breakfast for himself and Avery.

It was a simple breakfast, eggs and bacon. The silent sizzle made Levi remember the old days where he had to cook for her when he was still younger. A small smile forming on his face before returning to his deadpan expression.

He placed both the plates on the table and began silently eating, with drunken Avery joining him soon after, trying to finally sober up. Thus it was a silent breakfast with both of them.

It was about 10:00am, and Levi had decided to head to the 'headquarters' of the team Ditch was forming and ask about the teams going after Walker and Scarlet, where they were meeting and when, he figured two days time would have been enough. Avery followed him as well, commenting on the integrity of the building and the construction going on around it. She was bustling with energy not that she'd sober up. As they entered the main room where the meeting took place it was empty, a few seats here and there, Levi decided to wait until Ditch came around, and Avery did the same, eager to interact with his new 'friends', even though he didn't refer to them as such.

The most striking feature of Avery are her fiery red hair, and her emerald tinted eyes. She can be called beautiful on occasion but doesn't try to be. Her natural beauty is outstanding, but she never cares much for makeup or fine clothing, instead opting for the messy approach in her attire.

Method of Operation: She prefers to be 'loud' and 'proud', letting the enemy know she's there with her flashy attacks and moves. Even the color of her lightning draws attention. While loud and proud there is a certain grave and finesse in the way she executes her power, being amazingly fluid, yet strong.

Superpower: Same with Levi, but has a certain amount of mastery over it, being able to best Levi in his fights. Because of this she is a sort of 'teacher' to him, but notices his talent for the powers and knows soon that he will surpass him.

Skills: Cooks, Gardens and adores puzzles.

Personality: Avery is the opposite of Levi, she is fun, loving and has a certain kind of hope for the human race. She believes that there is inherent goodness in everyone, and tried to find good qualities in even the worst people. However this doesn't fog up her actions and will act necessary if the situation calls for it.

Shee tries and sees the silver lining in situations, being able to make the most drab situation have a positive outcome. She is also extremely charismatic, being able to weave her words in such a way that the people around her will feel astounded, and she can weasel her way out of a confrontation usually with her words.

Sometimes, she will get into a sort of funk, for failing to protect Jaine and Levi from 'them' and will usually ponder hours on end. In this stage she is melancholic and tries to be alone to think about what she could have done. These 'funks' usually last hours, and if anyone was there they could tell the unending sorrow and regret laced on her face for her self-deemed 'failure'. However she usually will have the stupid smile on her face again after a while and remembering Jaine's words.

Biography: Avery discovered her powers at a young age, but chose to hide it from her close friends and family, except for Jaine, Jaine helped her cope with her powers and told her to accept it as part of her, and so she trained it from youth. She was best friends with Jaine, Levi's sister. They basically grew up with one another, and were best of friends. They basically did everything together and were basically inseparable siblings.That is to say until the day Levi disappeared, Jaine was a mess and tried to look everywhere, it was Avery that calmed her down and assured that she would look for Levi with her.

Then Jaine disappeared as well, and that even took days to locate and track both of them. By the time she arrived she saw the aftermath, bodies skewn all over the floor and the smell of blood still ever pungent in the air. She spotted Jaine's dead body, she gasped and tears started to flow from her eyes, and then she found Levi, lightning cascading in fury all around him, with the dark room being lit by his bright lightning. Levi attacked her as well, in his fit of blinding rage and fury, he thought Avery was one of the scientist. Sparks of red lightning flew from across the room as a results of their clashes.

After the ensuing fight, he managed to make Levi fall unconscious but she sustained a multitude of wounds, receiving a gash on her back. Even though she was more skilled than Levi, it was a strenuous effort to take someone down with her powers and not kill them. She knelt down in anguish, and screamed from the top of her lungs.

She took Levi under her wing and trained him, noticing his exceptional and notable growth, she knew that Levi's passion was driving him. She left him in Millenium city, and traveled the world looking for EHLM scientists, and works as a 'hero' for hire on the side, and she checks on Levi every so often.

The lock of the door turned sideways and it opened. The figure of Levi entering through could be seen next, and the light smell of incense hit his nose. Levi had just come back from doing his usual rounds, taking off his mask and placing it on the holder whilst taking off his shoes and placing it near the corner of the entrance. He changed his clothes to more casual wear since they had gotten a bit dirtier, then promptly entered the kitchen and made two ramen noodles as per usual and sat nearby the altar, the smell of incense growing, "I'm back again, sis." he said outloud, before he could start eating the noodles he heard a knock on the door.

"Huh." he said to himself, no one really visits so atleast he was a bit curious. He walked slowly and tentatively towards the door, his footsteps echoing across the apartment. He opened the door and found Ditch standing there,

"Hello!" Ditch announced peppily, walking past Levi and into his home without waiting to be invited in. She wore a t-shirt with the superman logo on it, thick, black-rimmed glasses, and casual blue jeans with converse. "Nice place. Incense? Jazzy." Ditch looked around the room, her gaze landing on the shrine. "Hmn." She said, not making any other comment before she turned back to Levi.

"You left in such a hurry. You missed my grand plan! Shame. Anyway. I came to tell you, because I do still want you in."

As Ditch passed him without being invited in, Levi sighed, he should have expected this from her. He followed her close to the living room, but forgetting his manners, walked into the kitchen and made another ramen noodles for the uninvited visitor. Sister always told him to do so. Re-entering the living room once more he placed the Ramen he made on the table and picked up the one he made earlier, "... Fill me in on this grand plan of yours." Levi replied, beginning to finally eat his ramen.

Ditch spun on her heels to face Levi once more as he re-entered the room. "Ooh, ramen! Thanks!" She said, picking up the cup and taking a big slurp of it before beginning to talk. "Long story short, I've been keeping tabs on two rogues, Scarlet Shifter and Wall Walker. They're being stalked by Umbra's men, and I suspect they're going to make a move soon. I'm splitting us up into two teams, we each go after one rogue in hopes we get to them before Umbra does." Ditch took another bite, looking closer at Levi. "Ya got a babyface." She said casually.

He chose to ignore the comment about his face although there was a hint of annoyance on his face, "I see..." he replied, his usual scowl not present instead replaced with a normal expression, one that fits his age "Would you tell me their powers?"

"Wall Walker's just like the name sounds. He can go intangible, walk through walls, as well as walk on them. He's also an expert fist fighter, he's demonstrated his fighting ability on numerous occasions. He'll probably give chase, either because he can, or because he feels threatened. He looks arrogant, from what I can tell." Ditch said between bites of noodles. "Scarlet Shifter can turn into any animal, prehistoric even, but when she shifts, the animals can be up to five times larger then they normally are in the wild. She's a heavy hitter." Ditch frowned. "I doubt they'll let us talk to them at all.. my only goal is to make sure Umbra doesn't take them, or at least open their eyes to the fact that they are on his list."

Levi had heard of these two before actually with them having notable and even impressive powers. It made sense, the plan anyway, that they weaken and divide Umbra's targets. "I got the gist of the plan." he said whilst sipping on his noodles, "With their set of powers, I can go for either, Provided that the teams would be imbalanced, I'll let you decide which team I should go for."

"I might suggest Scarlet Shifter. We need the people who can deal heavy damage with her, because trust me, fighting a giant t-rex is not going to be easy." Ditch put down the emptied cup of ramen (she'd finished it very fast) and wiped her mouth with the back of her palm. "I need you to tell me you'll try to keep your powers in check, though. I like you, Levi. Your power is useful and I'm sure you're a good kid. But I'm trying to make a team here, and we're already fighting each other." Ditch gave a small sigh as she waited for his response.

Infront of his sister's shrine he unconsciously was more cordial, "... I'll see what I can do." he replied in a normal tone, "It did get a bit hectic down there, that was my bad." he continued as he placed down with the cup, "As suggested, I'll go after Shifter."
"If that's all, I'll be leaving soon as well to continue my rounds. Inform me where the 'teams' are meeting up."

Ditch smiled politely. "Thanks. I appreciate it. Really." At his decision, she nodded. "Perfect. I'll be sure to text you the details. See you later, and thanks for the ramen." Ditch turned, and gave a nod to the shrine, before leaving.

Levi also got up, nodding her off, then going to his room and placing his work clothes on. A long black jacket and dark pants. He waved off his sister's shrine and put on his mask before stepping out once more.

After his rather dramatic exit, whilst walking the desolate and ear-piercingly silent streets close to the warehouse he realised in the back of his head that he shouldn't have left early, and overreacted like that, but no matter, Ditch would most likely find a way to get ahold of him and send him information. Nevertheless he was still slightly annoyed at the events that transpired, a scowl permeating his face, but not his normal resting face which was deadpan emotion, this was an irked off expression.

It had been a bit of walking, numerous thoughts of how he would eventually work with this ragtag crew to take down Umbra filled his head, and before he knew it, he was getting close to his home. He must have looked like a civilian merely passing through, but he felt cold steel pressed onto his back.
"Put down your wallet and prized possessions on the floor, or get filled with lead." a voice behind him sprung up in an almost realized tone, a tone that was used to doing this kind of thing.

Of course Levi placed his wallet and belongings on the flo- he fried the mugger. Electricity built up around his body and conducted from the gun onto the mugger's hand, effectively paralyzing. He had overdone it a bit because of that rather unsavory exchange with Graffiti earlier, and the man was basically going to be paralyzed for a few days- at best. Levi quickly dialed the MCPD and left them a quick snap with an address through one of his disposable phones. He threw the disposable phone onto the quivering body. So that's why he had phone(s).

He finally reached home, and with a rustle through his jacket pockets he found the key in one swell swoop. The smell of smoke hit him in the nose, but this didn't alarm him, he made his way into the spacious living room, filled with lacking furniture. The one thing that may catch the eye is the shrine, a rather distinguished one. Incense strewn about with fresh flowers, a picture at the center of it all, a picture of his sister- Jaine Lynn.

"Hey sis." he said in a lower, melancholic tone, his scowl all but faded instead replaced by a solemn, downcast expression. "I'm back." He took of his gas-mask and bowed slightly towards the altar, the incense about halfway done. He walked to the kitchen, his footsteps echoing across the empty home, and fixed himself some cup noodles- a chosen food choice of his, having gotten used to it in his childhood. He opened two, heating both of them up. He walked backed into the living room and placed one of the cup noodles he made on the shrine, and opened his. He sipped slowly, the hot steam rising past his eyes, thinking of the future events to come. He wondered if ditch would message him the details.

The damned noodles were too soggy, only his sister ever got it right.
