Bio

Greetings,

I am Jb; Briton by birth, roleplayer by my own hand, and lover of literature. I am also an amateur historian, a receiver of a Bachelors degree in Ancient and Medieval History - quite a useless degree, actually - and would like to think that I'm a fair, honest and open guy.

As far as RP'ing goes, I'm pretty open to most things really, all you need to do is ask! :)

So, if you've ever any questions for me, wish to speak about RP's involving myself or run by myself, or simply feel like a chat, don't be afraid to get in touch.

No, it isn't a continuity - otherwise at least two other chracters would probably be dead... - but Outpost 57 did blow up due to a bit of strife caused by one of my participants.

That, and I'd like to try a different setting this time, just not too different; to wit, I shall probably have us all gather on a civilised/hive world near the Koronus Expanse, then get us going from there.

In your case, BC, it'll be fine; Galga can be stuck on this planet for years, no worries, and there's not much need for anyone to alter their backstories.
Out of curiosity, if I wished to create another character - and therefore have two on the team - is that allowed? I'm just wondering because, as rightly stated, we are missing another psyker...and I'm sure it gets lonely with just your mind-powers for company.
Just so everyone knows, Outpost 57 - the place where it all started in the OG thread - is nothing more than space dust at this point. Hence, you have two options.

Option the First: You're already aboard the Golden Hind, which is Drake's ship, and which I shall put up specs to at a later time.

Option the Second: You give me a destination - a planet, a ship, whatever - and I come and 'claim' your character.

Option the Third and Final: I find a new place and we just all meet there.

So, yea, thought that might help.

Any questions either to this or more generally?
@agentmanatee I am, and it looks like I'll be going to meet the Inquisitor soon enough...
Oh they'll be loot aplenty, don't you worry about that, dear friend.

Shorticus, that's all good, I do like the idea of the half-insane Orc hater hunter. :)

Looks like we're still waiting for a couple of folks to even reply, either way I'll get this show on the road by...Wednesday the 30th at the latest.

Muchos gracias.
@Blandman This is true, look forward to seeing you there. :)

First off, in typical Slaaneshi fashion, her silks are obviously various shades of pink.

Secondly, I'd have to agree with Bright here, at least inside the place there would be any numbers of sights and sounds and smells that would make mutants and the like seem quite normal - think of the 'Persian Harem' in 300, and that's sort of how I imagine this place...yes, even with the Goat Man.

Aaaaanyway, where is everyone?

Do not make me come after you, people, because I get very emotional when I murder people have to shut down a pefectly good RP simply for lack of participation.
@Sarpedon You know it!

We gonna pew-pew with the pew-pew, and fly that thing into the thing and BOOM, then Necrons and OH NO, before flying off to that planet with the thing and OHMYGOD TYRANIDS and then we colonise an entire planet via mass genocide of the native populace and build shrines to the Big E out of their fleshless skulls...

Or something like that, anyway.

Somewhere deep in the bowels of the mansion they called a 'safe-house', in one of multiple basement rooms beneath the structure, and probably entirely unknown to those moving about and causing such a racket in the building above, sat a still and silent figure which could for all intents and purposes been the life-like statue of a man; this man would have been in the prime of his life, in peak fitness when it came to his body, and with an unnerving attractiveness that would also repel or even confuse those that dwelt upon it too long. This sitting figure, alone and forgotten in the sparse and dripping cellar, swaddled in the crimson robes of the Adeptus Mechanicus, was too perfect to be a mere mortal - indeed, he was far beyond anything that made the meat-bags upstairs what they were.

First there came a small click, then a rather more audible hiss or released air, and finally the figure - more a creation than an actual person - twitched rather violently into a form of consciousness. This was not your usual way of seeing the world though, oh no, through eyes enhanced with the Omnissiah's gifts he (for he saw himself as a 'he' for the sake of convenience, though he really had no gender to speak of) could calculate everything from the trajectory of shots before they had been fire, to the most minute scratch upon the surface of the skin. Almost in anticipation of some activity, his mechandrites moved with a mind of their own beneath the folds of his robes, slithering this way and that, and very soon they would have work to do.

In one single moment he had recalled all that he needed to know, and as per his instructions rose from his sitting position to make his way upstairs; what he would find there he did not know, nor who he would find there, but nevertheless he went on with all the confidence that makes up an emotionless half-man in the service of the Imperium.

Moving his eyes this way and that, his webber gun clutched in one hand and his shock-maul in the other, he emerged from the subterranean hideaway just in time to hear the Taurox pull up outside and a heated conversation ensue. On the other hand he could also sense blood particles in the air, although these were already inside the mansion, leading to another floor from which further raised voices came. Making a swift and impartial decision, he proceeded toward the location of the vehicular transport.

What he found when he got there was Stukov, Inquisitor Zhevon and a much-damaged Guardswoman who by his calculations appeared to have been administered far more painkillers than she should really have been.

The most interesting one there, at least from his point of view, was actually one who seemed to be aligned to the Mechanicus as well...

"I hope that I am not interrupting," he said in the most deadpan and monotone way possible, not actually giving a damn whether he had or not but believing this was the Human way to do things, "but the wounded within this transport appears to be perspiring, perhaps I might be of some assistance in this instance?" His words were not accompanied by any of the usual hand gestures or facial expressions of an actual person, but it was clear to anyone that he was there to help regardless.

Obviously he had not taken into account that no-one knew who he was, were likely in the dark as to how he even got there, and very probably had questions for him which, with Cath's condition, should be left for later.
