RPing Preferences!

I'm currently in the middle of making a detailed RP in order for someone I know to try their hand out at RPing but as I began getting into more tiny details, I was wondering about the preferences of others so I had a few questions.

• For those of you who like writing a minimum of 2 paragraphs for your posts, do you hope an RP restrict people from posting one to a few lines (whether they're interacting with someone else's character or not)? Or is this something that isn't a problem for a lot of you?
• Do you avoid RPs because the art types they request for appearances don't include the art you want to use?
• Careers: When it comes to picking a career for your character, in a world of magic, do you think certain jobs are pointless to mention? Such as food industry jobs (chefs, waitering/hosting, cafes, etc) or even administrative careers, IT/technology, finance, and even infrastructure?

• Education of your character:
• For those of you with characters who are still in school, do you want you student to actually attend classes with teachers in them? Or would "class time" being skipped be more to your liking?
• For those of you that have no interest in reading a bunch of different things, do you think there should be an easier way for those with characters who have "graduated" and already in their careers to learn what their character needs to know?
  
  
  
  • Battling System:(against characters of the same power level or even special characters that might have a chance against someone stronger)
  • Should battles include a "rolling" system, should there be a separate list of what kinds magic is weaker against others? Or would it be better to have conversations OOC in order to dictate how the battle should go/end?
  • Do you like the idea of of "lower leveled" characters being able to roam around the world to learn and get stronger? And in this question is another. While your character is "learning" would you prefer to skip the learning process?

Background

Born in the West Bay of the USA from African-American and Chinese descent, Tamsyn has been raised in crime since the day she was born. With her dad coming from a dangerous family within the west side of the USA and a mother raised by a father with a high position within the Chinese triad, Tamsyn’s life is a mix of many rules.

Rules Tamsyn had once used to do her best to fight. Being of mixed heritage has prevented her from publicly being claimed as her grandfather’s grandchild so she was raised in the shadows. Tamsyn’s father’s side of the family, though brutal, was far more accepting.

Now at the age of 28 years old, Tamsyn works for her father’s family for fun. Despite her interest in poisons, she does what she can to create useful weapons and technology. Though she’s taken Tai Chi since she was a child, Tamsyn isn’t as confident fighting as she is when handling poisons or creating things. Though she has a knack for business, Tamsyn’s smart mouth sometimes causes a lot of problems so her family finds it best to only bring her out for social events.

Personality

While being intelligent and very observant, Tamsyn has a habit of dazing out when involved in conversations that don’t interest her. Which many misunderstand as her being either a quiet person or a bit of a ditz. Though she moves with a poised grace, Tamsyn is secretly a clumsy person. With her knack for wanting to be clean, no one knows about her habit of losing things she recently had.

Her smart mouth and tendency to do whatever she wants, not many know what to do with her. So it’s easy for Tamsyn to do things and get away with it, dangerous or not.

It’s as easy for Tamsyn to make friends as it is for her to make enemies, not that she cares. She walks through life like she’s gliding on air, untouchable to others. This confidence easily covers any sort of fear that might appear in dangerous situations.

It's nice to meet you guys, I'm Karma. I find enjoyment in RPing, but I had to take a long break from it. Now that I'm back, some sites I used to RP on are either no longer here or don't seem quite active. I'm hoping I can get an RP or two started! I'm used to doing group RPs, but I don't mind a 1x1.
