My Cold Embrace

I shall whisper promises of what could've been as you try everything in your power to put your pieces back together.

As your world burns down, do not worry.

Though I am a cloak of mysteries and shadows, my cold embrace will find you.

Why do you continue to fear me?!

I've been with you since the day you began growing within your mother's womb, a shadow in your fate.

For every time you experience excitement in your life, am I not an afterthought?
A constant record of 'what if'...

I am not only a constant presence in your reality, but I have also visited you in your dreams. I am the nightmares you refuse to acknowledge after the morning light greets the dark veil over your eyes. The reason you sigh in relief that it wasn't real.

I accompany every shadowy thought about the future.

I am the moment of doubt you feel just before choosing to trust someone.

The small voice in your mind that questions whether they're gazing at you with hatred.

Or the sense of dread you suppress just to maintain a positive attitude.

I have bestowed upon you the gift of understanding.

Am I to blame for you dismissing me as overthinking?

What is there to be afraid of?

Who could be more devoted than I?

A being who has been around since the dawn of gods has humbled themself to walk beside you.

I love you so much, I have intertwined your loved ones within my fate.

A reminder of your mortality.

As my cold embrace puts them in a deep slumber, you will cry.

You will look up at the gods, and you will beg them why.

Why?

Why did this have to happen to you?

To them?

And do you know the one you won't blame?

It will be I, the darkness to your shadow. The fear of your survival. The reason why you are who you are.

For you know who I am. What comes with my love.

How can you blame something that cannot help itself?

You will understand my power.

You will learn to respect the flow of life that I disturb.

And hopefully, by the time we meet again... you will be strong enough to withstand My Cold Embrace.

Elemental Magic

Vuzaris is efficient with the elements, though she excels with fire and air the most. While she has little interest in using water magic, it remains a skill Vu can utilize.

Beast Magic

Vuzaris is extremely talented at communicating with animals as well as beasts. She can borrow the skills/talents of creatures, as well as being able to see/feel through the senses of creatures within a certain range. With this sort of magic, Vuzaris can make spiritual connections with mystical beasts and creatures, which allows her to summon them when she needs them. Though, of course, summoning magic requires a magic circle. Though when summoning creatures, one must be careful lest they call out to an entity no one should sign a contract with.

Healing

Though Vu can't really heal others well, she is talented at being able to heal herself. Vu and her teacher Phaone tattooed several tattoos on Vuzaris's body. These runes activate when Vu is about to die and is incapable of healing herself.

Personality: Vuzaris is an intelligent young woman with a natural talent for learning magic. She has a habit of collecting old magic books and learning different kinds of languages, as well as the cultures that come with them. Though she has a quiet demeanor, her stubborn and hard-headed personality has gotten her far. With an unshakable determination, Vuzaris became the first student under Phaone the Ghost. With big shoes to fill, Vuzaris is constantly doing what she can to become a better version of herself. Despite being dedicated to her studies, Vuzaris does her best to socialize with her friends. With friends, Vuzaris is used to being the one taking care of everyone.
History: Born into a poor family, Vuzaris has done odd jobs since she could walk. With a father who wasted money on alcohol, a sickly mother, and a younger sibling, Vu held a lot of responsibilities. As the eldest sibling, Vuzaris was in charge of protecting her family. That included their own father, who constantly tried to sell them off. At the age of 15 years old, her father was found dead in an alley from alcohol poisoning. Though he didn't bring much money home, the change he did was important. Due to her mother's worsening condition, Vuzaris decided to help her family by studying magic. Having a natural talent for it, Vuzaris searched for the perfect teacher. While many wished to have access to Vu, she used to have a problem with mana control. It was hard for Vuzaris to use a spell without putting too much power into it.

Then, she met Phaone. A famous mage within the territory of Naiquin, Vuzaris was finally able to gain a teacher who could truly guide her in both morals and power. Since joining the guild and getting a mentor, Vuzaris takes on several jobs every year to support her now healthy mother and brother.

PERSONALITY
Nahlene is a young woman with the ambition to master her power. She does her best whether it's at school or at her internship. With a tendency to stay busy, Nahlene is always running around, yet she always finds time to add more. With an open mind, Nana strives to learn new things. Nahlene considers herself good when in social situations... when she remembers not to be so blunt. Not to mention trying her best to hide her clumsy tendencies from others. Though when it comes to keeping up with relationships, she's a bit new. While trying to balance her social life on top of everything else, Nahlene tends to overwhelm herself with making time for herself.

Despite having a strong sense of loyalty and dedication to her religion, it doesn't mean that Nana is new to having fun. She enjoys going out with the few friends she has, drinking, and smoking a good blunt. In public, Nana tries to keep a nice appearance and prefers to stay quiet in political situations in order to stay out of trouble.

Though when it comes down to it, Nahlene is also a spoiled princess. She's used to getting her way, living in a large castle, and having servants at her disposal whenever something is needed. Nahlene
