@Lugubrious did you ask Frettzo before killing Astarte off?
Well, time to get to work on making the forge, and possibly other things.

My followers and/or disbelievers gotta get a message from the forge master, after all.

Zerabil and his followers are all loyal believers ._. they are in fact CALLED the Believers xD
Rule Announcement

A new rule has been added to the OP: The Good Summaritan Rule
Little Announcement On Heroes et Civilisations

1) The higher your level, the harsher the grading of your posts. Thus, not only is it more difficult to level up for high level Heroes due to higher Khookie requirements, but they will also get less Khookies per post than lower level Heroes
2) Time-skips will have less of an effect on Hero leveling the higher the level of a Hero. A high level Hero (e.g Level 40) may only gain one level in a thousand year time skip, or none at all in less. A mid-level Hero (e.g. Level 20) may get 3-4 levels in a thousand year time-skip. A low mid-level Hero (e.g. Level 15-19) may get up to 10 levels in a hundred year time-skip. Lower level Heroes (Level 1-14) may get up to 20 levels in a time skip of reasonable length (20 years and over)
3) For the moment, technological advancement will slow and there will be more of a focus on the development and growth of the various civilisations currently in existence (growth of nations, conflicts, godly politics etc.)
For current technologies, see the first post (and assume that any basic technologies not listed also exist)

@Cyclone I'll build up the demigod section soon ;) basically, as a Level 10 Hero would ascend to a Level 1 demigod. As a Level 28 Hero you'd probably ascend to a level 3 demigod (rounded up from 2.8).
You choose a domain and a portfolio, and you will receive Might, and you will grow and level much as a god does. Demigods are, however, very different from gods and I will try to have an OP explanation up in the next 16 hours.

Note: No, a level 1 demigod is not on the same power level as a level 10 Hero. Level 10 Heroes are weaklings.

Meanwhile no one has answered my question.

Thirty years is not too long for the gods. 'Busy' for the gods is creating the universe and Galbar over billions of human years. But, it wouldn't do to have Heroes going about doing what they like without divine intervention. So get intervening! Ferghus should definitely have some kind of forge on Arguilla so that mortals can have access to his services
Yeah, agreed with Frettzo. Seeing as Ialu is now close with Vestec, I'd say that Vestec would probably have a part in causing him to ascend. In fact, as you want Ialu to become a god of avarice, I'd say Vestec is a vital component.

Perhaps a god gifting a mortal with his blood would cause them to become a demigod, and gifting a mortal with essence causes them to become a full-fledged god? With the limitation being that the mortal must be extremely powerful already, or they would simply be destroyed.
They just seem way too easy to gain. You said it yourself, Zerabil got 3 levels in a single day, it should've taken years of training and experiences imo. It should take all heroes a huge amount of time or an exceptional dedication to their respective areas to level up. Kuro for example is 46 years old at the moment and can beat a group of 5 soldiers in a fist fight. After 40 years of daily training.

Because why would a God create a Hero and level them up himself instead of creating an avatar, which is arguably a ton more powerful than any common hero?

I completely understand the point you make, but I think you may be over-analysing levels. The fact that they're easy to gain is mostly due to the fact that the Khookie requirements for each level up to level 10 can be gained with a single post. At the moment, all these level twenty-something Heroes will require at least three Khookies worth of posts for even one level, so leveling up for them will stall considerably.

It's just important that the difference between a normal mortal (Level 0) and a regular Hero (level 10) is given some weight. In the end, as I have said many times, quality RPing trumps statistics for me any day. If Kuro comes up against Zerabil and proves himself to be a mighty mortal indeed, then there is nothing to say he can't defeat a Hero - how can we say that a Hero may be able to defeat a demigod with time if we cannot also say that a normal mortal cannot defeat a Hero with time?

Further, beating five soldiers in a fist-fight is fair enough, but you need to take other factors into account. Kuro will have weapons at hand, and even if he does not, he has Wi as well as his own martial art. When these are combined, the average soldier stands no chance against such dedication. The average five soldiers don't stand a chance. While these are normal humans, this is also a fantasy setting and humans can be expected to reach absurd levels of power if they have, as Kuro has, put the training and the years in. If you add the fact that EVERY NIGHT humans are facing terrors from their wildest nightmares, I'd say that the likes of Kuro and Zerabil and Ialu, who can face these creatures of the night, would grow even faster than one who simply trains all day everyday.

Also, remember that all current Heroes were born Heroes, thus they could only start at level 1. We have not yet had a case like Kuro's where one was mortal and had a life before. I will have to judge whatever post you put up and his level will have to be worked out taking his 46-year development as a mortal into account.

To make a long story short, don't worry over-much about levels. They're important and fun, but nothing game-breaking.

(Note: Levels work a tad differently for Ialu since he's attempting to ascend to godhood)

As for the whole Avatar thing, it really is not as interesting to play an Avatar as opposed to a mortal who has potential and actually develops as a character, ages etc.
The speed at which heroes are leveling up seems excessive. What do levels mean anyway?

It just means they're stronger. They're more capable at fighting, using Wi, their natural traits are increased and their unique abilities are more under their control.

Not sure when Kuro becomes a Hero. If it's during the time-skip, then he'll be entitled to time-skip leveling, if its at the end of the time-skip, I'll take his life before becoming a hero into consideration before making a decision.

Also, gods can level Heroes up with Might, so it's not really an issue if you're thinking of it in the 'other Heroes will never catch up' sense.

Also, you need to take into account that Zerabil got to level 3 in a matter of a day, in-game time-wise. Ialu got to level 7 in a matter of years. Thirty years would reasonably cause this kind of increase. If others don't think so, I'm willing to reduce the time-skip level up though.

I loved the description of his experience with WotW, I could practically feel his awe and sadness (after she left). I hope I can learn to write like that, just for the meetings between mortal and divine.

I think poor Zerabilzi would like to meet THIS particular divine again for very different reasons too *winkwink*
