@Buddha I reckon he'll be who Andalujans refer to as The One (Glorified Be His Name)
@Buddha@Kho

To quote the early christian heresies: "You can't excommunicate me! I'll excommunicate you!"

Excommunication is not permitted! Through your attempts at excommunication you have revealed your true colours! BURN HIM!
@Buddha Maybe a certain Andalujan can put his mind off that by pointing him towards that magic-using heathen over there...>.>
In any case, I take it that at the very least @Buddha, myself and @The Narrator are agreed on our provinces being of the same religion but with potentially vastly different interpretations. @Bright_Ops is going for something different (right?) @Cyclone is PAGAN.
@Kho If only that was how it happened. It took Napoleon to unify the Germans.

I wanted to keep it simple ^^' but yeah, minus HRA and Napoleon and Bismark and all that
@Bright_Ops Eh, large Empire is fair enough, but time generally means that provinces slowly convert to the state religion.
And either way, the shared history of the many kingdoms strongly lends itself to there being one religion. Think Germany prior to unification minus the Holy Roman Emperor (they're all German, they're all Christian, then bam, unification)
@The Narrator You don't say. What gave that away, the Arabic name of your nation? I think having a unified religion would be more interesting. (Bar maybe the cossacks..?) Because then we can argue about semantics in religion, and it creates a basis for my country to have some value at least (because we produce pious knights) rather than being your run of the mill stupid province that doesn't offer much.

Just want to say, I like the idea of one religion with semantic differences. It really is quite amazing the opposing things that can be justified when semantics come into play

Edit: ninja'd

At the moment it seems like provincial differences are key, as many were effectively different nations. So the differences between provinces may be quite jarring (e.g. Bright_Ops' suggests that his province is largely atheistic)

As for a church without a head, how exactly do you see that working? Would it be like, monks and priests without a formal structure? Or something more rabbis/imams? Effectively state-funded preachers and religious leaders.
@Kho you obviously based yours off of Islam, and I based mine off of Christianism.

I think if nothing was made up, we can take creative liberties when it comes to that, yes?

I assume Flynn has said nothing on the matter due to it being up to our creative liberties. I haven't really thought the religion through in any depth, I just know its monotheistic (so Abrahamic in nature) but without a formal clergy (so more Judaism-Islam than Christianity)
@Kho Alright, my character and yours will have a great bloody ol time.

@Bright_Ops HERESY.

Now that I think about it, there doesn't seem to be an established lore for the religion/s of the Grand Kingdom. You mention a cross in your sheets, I mention The One (Glorified Be His Name) extensively in mine. Think that's about it
@Muttonhawk Leave the essays for RPing, methinks. So that poor Frettzo can suffer. that Frettzo can become really good at reading long English essays and so pass all the tests they throw at him when he eventually comes to England.
