I always miss the fun stuff and references. Now I'll be wondering what 2011 was referring to.

That'll be Gatorade's slogan once Data Centers drink up all the water.

I wish he'd left on his interest thread that this was up... I've been waiting for a response there and I just so happened to find this by his username.

Unfortunately he ended up disappearing.

Raymond listened to Owen's advice about disciplining his Velociraptor whenever she did something wrong. Before now he had never thought about punishing her, but he understood what he meant. Spare the rod, spoil the child. If he let her get away with things like this now then when she got older she could very much be dangerous. Then Thomas came in with his two cents saying that because he has Chickie that they'd all be dying sooner than he thought they would and that she was vermin. She wasn't a killer, not yet at least. She was still just a baby not prone to the world that she lived in.

He was lucky that he left when he did or else Raymond would have argued him down talking about her like that. He really didn't like the guy at all. Fortunately Owen was able to defend her and even called the guy a dumbass. It didn't escalate and then Owen waved him goodbye. He did the same and looked down at Chickie and said, "You're not murderous vermin. Don't listen to guys like him."

Raymond had realized that he had been ignored by the girls as they were too busy talking to each other. They didn't seem to need his help anyway. In fact the former intern told Kelly that she didn't need any help. "Well, girl. It looks like right now it's just you and me." He didn't know what to do at the moment. Everyone was off doing his own thing and he wasn't the type to be able to help where it was actually needed at the moment. He stared off at the ocean wondering just how this expedition would work out. He hoped that no one in this group would end up getting killed or eaten by one of the dinosaurs still running wild on the large island.
And so in the meantime I'm waiting for @DrewVonAwesome to post.
I should get up another post soon.
I think I added to that confusion as well. It's more likely that the geneticists worked off-site on new dinosaurs and that's how Chicklet came to be.

We probably should have been more clear with how things were before we started. It wasn't established in the background whether or not we were supposed to be the first ones coming back to the island.
@Natty

Don't worry about it. It's fine.
I'm guessing Renose's stomach virus is worse than he thought?

And nope, Double.
Is this dead?
@Lmpkio

Yeah. I could definitely try and interact with your characters after my character's interaction with this group.
@choraki

Raymond watched as Chickie stared puzzlingly at Owen's hand as he reached out towards her. She tilted her head slightly to the right to look at it. Ray didn't seem to understand why at first. It could have been because she felt the connection that Owen seemed to have with those of her kind. He crouched down in front of Owen after he asked him where he got her. He gently rubbed her back while saying, "I got her from the lab. The geneticists have already started on hatching dinosaurs. I'm a Behavioral Specialist here for the park and when this little one hatched she imprinted on me. Thinks I'm her mother."

He removed his hand from her back and placed it in front of her mouth. She stared at it just like she did Owen's, but she also bit his index finger. He lightly winced and pulled his hand back while shaking it. "I've been trying to train her, but I'm not as good as you were and are. Think you could help me out? Her name's Chicklet, but I call her Chickie."

He turned his head quickly when he heard Tanya yelling. She was the new Chief of Security and had been here for months like he had. She was definitely someone who wouldn't take slack here in the park. Maybe with the Security Division under her watch the park would be a safer place for the dinosaurs and for the people attending the park.

He finally stood up again and watched as Kelly started helping one of the former interns. He took note of her stroking her arm. He didn't want to jump to conclusions, but so far it seemed that his chance of finding romance on the island was starting to dwindle. Hell, she didn't even seem to notice him when he arrived and focused right away on her. Not like his goal of coming here was to get into a relationship. His primary concern of course was the dinosaurs, but a relationship wouldn't hurt things.

"I could help you two if you'd like." He said as he continued to look at them. He didn't need a promise of romance to help anyone. He wasn't that type of guy.
