Kieran Kent aka Kor-El is actually Lor-Zod, the son of Dru-Zod. He was conceived, born and raised in part of the Phantom Zone where time still moved. He was seen as a last chance of salvation for the prisoners of the zone. He was freed a few years before the Despero attack, but due to some unforeseen and unknown circumstances his memories were wiped.
A young child at the age of eleven in a strange, unknown world with no friend or family in sight. He just sort of drifted for a while. Learning English wasn't difficult for him. He watched TV's in windows and read newspapers and picked it up rather quickly and efficiently. He found out about heroes, the Justice League, and most importantly Superman this way. He didn't know how, but he recognized the crest on the hero's chest. He followed the story to Metropolis where he ended up encountering his first villain. At first he just thought he was a weird little man that wanted to play, but he soon realized that the games this man wanted to play were dangerous. He took down the Toyman and continued his search.
His search didn't take long because what he was looking for had found him. Superman tried to help him figure out who he was or where he came from, but he didn't have any luck and a huge part of Clark felt that in a way all Kryptonians were his responsibility and he knew that Lois wouldn't forgive him if abandon this kid to be on his own. So he took him to Smallville where he gave him a name, introduced him to Jon and Lois, and enrolled him in school, but not before teaching him how to control his powers. Kieran had a family and he was happy, but that would change one fateful day a few years later when Despero attacked and his new mother was killed.
Kieran loved Clark, but he could always see a deep sadness within him that he wished he could do something about. He had grown to love Lois too, but his grief was nowhere near on the same level as his father's. Having the powers of a god, but being unable to save the one you love made it all pointless. Part of Kieran felt responsible as well. He wasn't a member of the League but he should have been there. He was a Kryptonian. What good were these powers if he didn't use them when the world needed them most? Kieran did the best he could to help him in his grief, but he knew that nothing he could do would ever be enough. He wasn't his real son and he couldn't bring his wife back either.
After a while Kieran was bored with the mundane. He wanted to show Clark that he was wrong to retire and that his team of heroes were wrong to disband. With his reluctant blessing Seraph started his career as both a solo and team player. At the time the name Superboy was taken and he honestly didn't feel himself worthy of the name Superman after all he had learned, but wanted to one day earn it so for now he'd take to the skies as Seraph, Earth's Angel.

Superman is without a doubt my favorite superhero, the other being Dick Grayson and whatever costume he's wearing. Anyway, I love Kryptonians and what you can do with them storywise when it comes to these godlike beings wanting to experience life as humans while doing what they can to protect them. I also like the premise of nature vs nurture which is what I'm going with here. Kieran here is giving a clean slate and one day there is a possibility of his memories coming back and he'll have to decide whether he's loyal to Earth, Superman, and his role as a hero or will he be loyal to his true family and his father's nature and plans for him?
With Kieran he's going to be battling a lot mentally. Not as concerned with his amnesia he's more concerned with being worthy in the eyes of a grieving father who may not even truly see him. He's just another reminder of what he lost with Krypton and even in his retirement he's being forced with responsibility he never asked for. Whether or not that's how Clark sees it that's how Kieran sees it. He also feels overshadowed by Jon, his true son, and Conner, the carrier of his mantle despite him being the true Kryptonian.
Also I know the Justice League disbanded four years ago, but if any teen groups popped up or stayed during that time Kieran likely would've joined one or two during these past four years.
Just realized I haven't posted in the OOC yet, but I am writing my CS up as I type. My character will be Lor-Zod adopted by a grieving Clark Kent after the death of Lois. He has amnesia and doesn't care too much about his past and only focuses on living up to the legacy of his adopted father and dealing with his insecurity of being in Jon and Conner's shadows. I haven't read all of the sheets yet, but I am loving the ensemble we have so far.
I have been thinking of doing Terry Mcginnis as Batman. Either that or Superboy dealing with his dad, Superman, finally retiring in Smallville. (But if anything, and if it'd be alright, I really want to write the TMNT someday).
*comes in to see both Terry and Supes being looked at before I saw the interest check.*
Just want to publicly say I'm backing off my Thunderbolts concept, incase its existence was dissuading anyone from using the characters included or the Tbolts name.
In the spirit of this I'm also backing off my Panthress concept. Storm and T'Challa/Black Panther are both free to use.
I'll finish editing things up later and do my Sample Post hopefully tonight, but if not definitely tomorrow. But alas here is my Princess of Wakanda.

AZURI MUNROE ♦ STUDENT/VIGILANTE ♦ NEW YORK ♦ X-MEN/ESU STUDENT BODY
C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T:
"I just got these claws painted... and I rather not taint them with your blood."
Azuri's story began when a future King and a future Goddess met and fell in love. After rescuing each other from kidnappers Ororo Munroe and Prince T'Challa of Wakanda had a brief, but passionate romance. T'Challa had to return home and he offered to bring her back with him, but she declined feeling that for the time being her destiny was drawing her elsewhere and she was right. Eventually she was found and brought to the United States by Professor Charles Xavier after discovering that what she believed to be godlike powers were actually that of a genetic mutation. She honed her abilities while fighting the good fight for mutantkind and helping to protect the young mutants of the Xavier School.
She met T'Challa again during his travel to the States and their passion for each other was just as strong as before, but once again they parted ways. A will they, won't they affair that both were honestly getting tired of. Fortunately it seemed that fate allowed a way for them to be together. The X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants became outlaws and the doors of the Xavier Institute were closed for good while Charles forced himself into isolation. T'Challa was paying close attention to the goings on of the United States due to their growing anti-mutant sentiment out of concern for his star-crossed love. When he heard what was going on he went with his Dora Milaje to retrieve her and bring her to Wakanda where he could properly court her and make her his Queen though that would come sometime later after his father's death and he took the throne.
Time passed and Azuri was born. They lived peacefully in Wakanda and the country was thriving and in some ways better than before. Their lives changed however seven years later once the Chitauri Invasion happened. Together the Black Panther and Storm with the Wakandan Forces as support protected Wakanda and the surrounding nations from their attacks. This exposed the true nature of Wakanda to the world and caused their United home to be shattered. Storm was called back into service with the X-Men feeling that now was the perfect time for the opinions that others had of her people to change. While she was approached by the X-Men, T'Challa was approached by the Avengers. He agreed to be a member but he couldn't abandon his people to live in the United States even if it meant being closer to his Queen. But due to his now split time T'Challa decided to send his daughter to live in New York, close to her mother, but away from the risk of mutant persecution. He also had a duo of his most trusted Dora Milaje soldiers to raise and protect her. So Azuri got a taste of the world outside of Wakanda and she didn't very much like it. It was always noisy and not in a good way and the smells were terrible. But she didn't have a problem with school or any of the kids she met there. There were times when she'd visit her mom or vice versa, but they weren't common enough for either of them.
Things shook once again for the royal family eight years later during the Gravitron attack. T'Challa suffered a heavy blow in the battle and never quite fully recovered afterwards. Noticing how weak their King had become some cowardly dissidents decided to take advantage of the situation. Her adoptive uncle, the White Wolf, led a coup against her father and killed him in cold-blood. He planned to become the new King of Wakanda, but was instantly challenged by M'Baku, the Man Ape. After a humiliating defeat the White Wolf was banished from Wakanda and M'Baku became hailed as their new hero and King. Azuri, her Aunt Shuri, and Storm all thought the way it happened was too convenient. So they all live in personal exile within the United States unaware of what the future holds for them and their now lost home.
Azuri felt less inclined to be so idle. She was going to play the part of a normal growing young woman, but in reality she was the Panthress, Princess of Wakanda and Avenger of her father. She was going to find her father's killer and free her home from the clutches of M'Baku and no one or nothing will get in her way.
*** So as I was looking up Azari I couldn't really find any pictures that I liked except for one, but on that journey I found her so I decided to switch things up a bit. Picture her with white hair btw. I decided to sorta fuse Azari and the other future child Kymera in skills abilities, while also making Azuri a unique character all on her own. She's someone who's always known her lineage and potential from both sides of her family, but she's also someone who the world has shown all that means absolutely nothing when the ones you love can still be stripped away. She grew up idolizing both her parents, a goddess and freedom fighter and a king and hero. Powerful in both mind and body she's had a lot to live up to. So now with her father gone she feels that weight more immensely than ever. She's a mutant, already hated by the world for being one of those, but she's also an exiled princess in hiding.
So Azuri's story will see how that plays out, her revenge against her uncle for her father's death, getting through college, and eventually overthrowing M'Baku. Right now she's teetering on the edge of anti-hero, but hasn't killed anyone yet. But she's willing to if she feels they deserve it. So we'll see if the heroes of New York influence her when it comes to that or if she will actually be able to kill the White Wolf when the time comes.
I do want to explore her connection with the X-Men because she doesn't shy away from the fact that she's a mutant, but she has chosen to keep a secret identity for her heroics.
Speaking of her identity she chooses to go by Pantheress instead of the Black Panther because she doesn't feel that she's worthy of the title until she saves her kingdom.
C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:
Ororo Munroe: Her mother, her queen, her goddess. Azuri loves and admires her mother, but she'd never tell her that. They've been unable to be as close as they both would want, but they do see each other whenever they can. Aneka: One of her "adoptive mothers", but is actually a member of the Dora Milaje that was sworn to protect her long before her father was killed. Even after his death she chose to remain with Azuri in New York to protect her from would be assassins. Both she and her wife Ayo trained Azuri how to fight like the Dora and the Black Panther. Ayo: Azuri's other "adoptive mother". She loves her like she's actually her own and would do anything to protect her. Aunt Shuri: Azuri's aunt and fellow princess in exile. The two are much closer in age so she prefers to consider Shuri her cousin more than an authoritative figure. She wishes they went to school together, but Shuri decided to spend her days undercover at MIT. White Wolf: Azuri's adoptive and traitorous uncle. He killed her father and so she plans to kill him. She's been trying to track him down, but feels that when he's ready he may come back for her to finish what he started. And when he does she'll be ready. M'Baku the Man Ape: Leader of the Jibari Tribe and current King of Wakanda. He plans to bring the kingdom back to its more primitive and supreme isolationist ways. Especially with the outside world knocking on its doors. She plans to overthrow and maybe kill him as well. She has no proof that he was part of White Wolf's plan, but it was too coincidental for her.
S A M P L E P O S T:
This is an advanced roleplay, so please let your sample reflect the quality and content of your posts. Just a few paragraphs to give me a glimpse into how you plan to write the character are all that is needed, and you can choose to turn this sample into a post in the IC later. Please include at least one line of dialogue and/or an 'action' scene that'll best represent your imagined concept. This is mainly so that I can see if your writing meets the requirements for the advanced section.
P O S T C A T A L O G:
This section is not necessary, but a procedural listing of your linked posts will make it much easier and more convenient for all involved.
If no one plans on playing Storm I can NPC her since I'll be playing her son. I'm also planning for T'Challa to be dead in this so he'll be living at the Xavier Institute.
