Kyle did slip away easily enough. He had Transfiguration and later Charms. He went straight to the Transfiguration classroom. He was considerably early.

"Yes but you don't know who wrote it." A female voice snapped. Kyle poked his head around a corner and spotted Harry Potter and his friends. Harry was holding an old worn Potions book and Hermione was looking at it as if the book had insulted her.

"It doesn't matter. It hasn't been wrong so far." And then the trio was gone up the next set of stairs. Why did it matter who wrote a potion book? Kyle wondered and then took a seat in the classroom. Sam was in minutes later.

"Hey, you left lunch early. Where'd you go?" Sam asked sitting down next to Kyle.

"The library, wanted to look up somethings about mandrakes for the essay." Sam's eyes widened at Kyle's response.

"Bloody hell I forgot about that." Sam laid his head down on the table. "When's it due?"

"Friday during class." Kyle snickered.

"Oh, then I've got plenty of time." Sam sighed relieved, "Hey so what happened? I mean I heard you two fight, but I thought you were best friends forever or some girly dragon dung like that."

"Don't let Siobhan hear you call her girly." Sam waved his hand unafraid of the Gryffindor girl who helped raised dragons. Kyle thought that was amusing.

"Anyway, so is it like over forever between you two?" Kyle only gave a non-committal shrug as the rest of the class started filing in.
Professor McCarthy had a productive meeting with Headmistress McGonagall. He left the meeting feeling a bit more at ease. It was then, as he glanced at his watch, the same one he had owned since his seventeenth birthday, that it was nearly time for the train to arrive.

On the train, darkness had long fallen, the students had changed into their robes and were readying to stop at the Hogsmead station. It wouldn't be until the students were partially up the path in the carriages, or around the bend of the lake, that they would see Hogwarts. Hogwarts, their home for the next several months, would be lit up awaiting them in anticipation. Astrid and Terra were holding hands excited. Terra had put away her notebook and watched at the darkness on the other side of the glass. Soon they'd be learning magic. Really learning it. Her heart pounded in anticipation. Her sister, Astrid, was also excited, but there was no fear in the older twin's heart.

Finally the train stopped. The older students made their way to the carts and the first years were led to the boats by the school's game keeper and keeper of the keys. Terra, frowned at the boats, not wanting to get into it. She much more preferred keeping both her feet firmly on the ground she was named after. Astrid on the other hand happily climbed into a boat. "Do I have to?" She asked the gamekeeper quietly. He gave her a gently smile and nodded. With a deep trepidation she climbed into the boat after her sister.
I was nearly done with my post and IT needed to work on my computer *cries*
What about one or more us that are staying picking up available second character?
Tessa Goffe
"He says that to everyone." Tessa rolled her eyes. She refused to look MacFusty in the eye though, and the tips of her ears were red hot. It wasn't discernible from her face if it was from embarrassment

"I'm still you favorite Quidditch player, right? You're not going to betray me like these two." Tessa looked at Beth in wide eyed horror.

"Are you saying that I have betrayed you? I would never. You are my favorite Quidditch player." She pointedly spoke to Beth. "What kind of Hufflepuff do you take me as?" The look of abject horror she had been giving Beth fell then, she couldn't keep her face straight any longer.
"I can ask around too, but I'll have to be careful about it." He didn't need to add obviously. "About this girl, Trish, she's an easy enemy. She's also a Gryffindor, which tend to be a bit easy to get their tempers to flair." He glanced out of the outcropping of trees.

"We'll have to talk about this later. Looks like lunch is mostly over." Shoot they were going to have a hard time sneaking back up to the castle.
Kyle paused, "There's your brother." He pointed at a group of Slytherins.

Rolled her eyes at her friend before getting in line to pet Scrubbles. The orange dog licked her hand happily. She wiped her hand on her robes once she was out of the pen area. Gave a wave to Hagrid and waited for Ryan to be done too.

She watched as a Ravenclaw was tossed by the dog. "Well that might have hurt." She winced a bit. Guess book smarts isn't everything. She thought. When the girl returned she came back into the clearing with Professor Gurgenhiem and Professor Eldridge. Tessa wasn't book smarts, she was much better at practical things.

She nudged Beth, "What are they doing here?" She really hoped this wouldn't end up being a surprise everything class.
"We could. I think my sister mentioned something once about a room that wasn't there, or something. She could have been pullin' my leg though." Kyle laid down on the ground and looked up through the trees at the sky. It was a beautifully clear day, the air was chilly, but nothing he couldn't handle.

"Who was that Gryffindor girl glaring at us the first day?" Kyle sat up straighter as her face came to mind. It was clear she didn't like either of them. Siobhan because of her ties to Slytherin and Kyle because he was a Slytherin.
Still here
"Random class rooms." Kyle shrugs. "It'd be cool if there were a room we could go into without worrying about getting caught." He frowned. "There are a ton of unused classrooms though. We can pick one and then rotate between the others. Never go into the same one twice." Kyle picked up a leaf from the ground and played with it in between his fingers. "It'd be cool if we could get into classroom 11 without getting caught. I hear the Centaur that teaches in there has made the room into a forest."

Kyle frowned at her idea for making up. "I don't think the Gryffindor way will work. We need something monumental that 'forces' us to be friends with each other. Professor Snape's detention is a start, but we'd have to make that realistic. I almost feel like we should keep the fight up longer. At least until something like, a common enemy unites us, or something stupid like that." Kyle let the now torn up leaf fall to the ground.
