"A bit. I travel mostly and things like this tend to come across my path. I have a hard time walking away." The Doctor couldn't explain how she felt there was a lot she owed the universe. She wouldn't have said she did what she did out of guilt, especially since she had been saving people since before the guilt. "Always have. That's why my name is the Doctor, got to heal things." She smiled at Nora. They were just in time. The door to the small room opened and the two men from the car stood in front of them.

"Where's the other girl?" The kidnapper asked just as the Doctor pressed a button on what was once a tracking machine. A high pitched noise emitted from it and both men shivered and started having what looked liked a seizure. They collapsed and the Doctor winced a bit before bending over and checking for a pulse on the driver.

"He's alive." She smiled brightly. "Come on." The Doctor waved Nora to follow her and headed out of the small room.
That's fine. I don't mind working out the plot for it with you. I haven't done one THG based.
"It has to do with the mitochondria. They need to be able to process it. Not sure why, but you see there are a bunch of different mitochondria types, but they pass through the mother line. The genetic compatibility is because you and your sister have the same mitochondria, but you have different DNA. The Mitochondria...." The Doctor trailed off with wide eyes. "I can save them all. I can make the mitochondria fight off the Torx, that's why they can't just connect to humans, and maybe even why the Hyiasam doesn't affect you."

The Doctor spun around pleased with herself. "You're brilliant." She hugged Nora and then dashed about the TARDIS again. "I can do this!" She slammed the tracking machine on the consul and hooked a cord to it. She typed furiously and then the tracking machine made some funny noises. "Nora! We can save everyone!" She bounced up and down, holding the tracking machine proudly.

"Alright here's the plan, those guys come back and I start sending this signal out. You get their attention. Keep them coming toward me. We can do this." The Doctor took Nora's hand and walked out of the TARDIS with her.
Protagonist I believe we were rping before the crash. We were doing the mermaid one and i was part of the culper one. I don't mind picking either of those up again if you want.
I'm curious about your Hunger Games idea.
The Doctor gave Nora a sad smile then nodded. "I'll find a way." She told her. Steel in her voice. "For now, take care of your sister." She turned back to the TARDIS consul, flicking levers and staring at one or another of three screens. After what felt like hours to Nora, but couldn't have been much more than ten or fifteen minutes the Doctor yelled "Got it! It's the Hyiasam! The Torx release Hyiasam as a byproduct of their connection." The Doctor stumbled over the last word, as if that wasn't the word she wanted to use.

"Hyiasam is extremely reactive, hence why eventually humans will harvest it from some planets that produce it naturally to make a super-efficient fuel. What I can do, I think I can do, is since the human body doesn't react with Hyiasam as all is stop the Torx system from releasing the Hyiasam. It'll poison the Torx, but the human should be spared. As long as they haven't been hooked up to the Torx for too long. I am sorry, but if the Torx has been feeding off of the human for too long the human is already dead, just a shell and the Torx would have been moving on soon anyway." The Doctor frowned at the prospect, but there wasn't anything she could do. Not everyone would live today, but maybe mostly everyone could.

"Biggest problem I can see...is I'll have to be really close to someone infected by a Torx to reverse the process. I might be able to get a burst, that hits most of London, but if they have spread out of London, then I won't get them all."
"Perception filter. Part of why it appears as a police box. It's stuck that way though. I mean stuck as a police box, not stuck with the perception filter on. Basically I didn't want them to see the TARDIS so they can't." After laying Evie down on the seat the Doctor started messing around at the consul.

"It wasn't your suitcase. When I put the key next to the tracking device I set it up so the TARDIS would be at the last place I parked it. That being where I picked you up. I meant I was glad I left your bags because then I didn't have to worry about them, and they are here for you now." The Doctor was reading a screen as Nora asked how to stop the bad guys.

"That won't be easy. From what I understand they already have most of what they need to connect to the human system. It's a messy process. I haven't come across a group of them in a long time. They are called Torx. They feed and breed by hooking up to the nervous system of whatever race they're attacking. These guys that you've been talking to, they used to be human, but now the Torx is control. He has rewired the human and the only way of getting rid of it is to kill the human too. He can't live without the Torx. Think of them like zombies now, because that's all that is there." The Doctor turned to face Nora. She knew she would be taking this news well.

There was a look of worry on her face. Could Nora handle this? Memories of her other companions flickered through her mind. How would Rose deal with this? Or Donna? Both would want to save the humans...how could he...she. How could she save the humans? Was there a way to reverse the process?
Thank you for the warning.
"It doesn't matter what we want. There's nothing you can do to stop us at this point." The main guy told her. The driver was distracted with pulling into a parking lot. Next to it was an old factory.

The main guy opened the back door to the car and pulled Evie and the Doctor, who was still pretending to be unconscious, out tossing them back over his shoulders. "Out and follow me." He directed to Nora. As they walked toward the factory Evie could just faintly hear the noise she had heard just before the Doctor rescued her the first time.

The driver was a smaller guy than the kidnapper and he had to jog a bit to keep up with the larger man. They led the way into the factory and opened the door to the small room Nora had been locked in once before. The men didn't seem to notice the TARDIS sitting in the back corner of the tiny room. The kidnapper dropped Evie and the Doctor unceremoniously onto the floor. "We'll be back in a bit, just sit tight." He shoved Nora back into the room unnecessarily.

As soon as the door was closed the Doctor hopped up to standing. "Well he's an oaf." She opened the TARDIS door and turned to pick up Evie. "I think I'll need a hand, we'll put her on the seat there. Guess it's a good thing I left your bags here."
"I was worried I'd be late. I couldn't get the car to start." The driver said to the other man.
"It is good you fixed it." He replied.

The Doctor shifted in her seat ever so carefully to not draw attention from the two men in the front of the car.

"Where's-" The driver asked
"He'll catch up." The two of them fell into silence.

The Doctor held a finger to her lips. Then out of a pocket pulled a long metal device, a key, and then lifted the tracking machine from her around her shoulder. She put the key against the machine and a strange noise emitted from the long metal thing. The kidnappers looked back at the trio sitting in the back. As if expecting it the Doctor pretended to be unconscious again just in time.
