Yes but now I have to function at work... and getting out of bed this morning was one of the hardest things I've done... like this year.
Drunk on Thursday bad decisions
Mandy - Grocery Store, Walker LA - June, Anna, Cricin

Exasperated and confused Mandy turned to June for help. Whatever the girl had said was clearly lost on Mandy. Even if her accent hadn't gotten in the way, when she spoke a different language Mandy was completely confused. The sign hadn't helped. Mandy figured the girl probably wasn't actually trying to make a real sign, at least not one Mandy knew. Hearing people used some signs, such as the come along, all the time without realizing it. Mandy tried to figure out what this girl meant. Somewhere along the lines of stop, cancel... Bad? She couldn't be certain, but maybe June would be able to shed some light on the situation.

Mandy was glad she had people again, being alone had been terrifying. When she had found Victor again she had relaxed some, but he babied Mandy too much for her liking. June at least wouldn't do that. Even still Mandy needed help there was no denying it.
Out of interest, how are people pronouncing the name 'Wolf' in their heads? Are they pronouncing it with English spelling ('wulf') or with added German accent ('volf' as in, golf)?

I've been saying wulf... well actually no because I have a small speech impediment that comes out with -ol -ul sounds... so I really just sound like a 3 year old.
^Yeah pretty much the same thing. And I expect at least the Undertaker as well. @tip Is it possible to make it Friday? Go through it quick?
@Tip I don't today, but I will tomorrow.
<was under the impression it was a weekday... all sorts of messed up posts now... all well.

But @Tip If I need to I'll make an NPC for a team.

Mary Winthrop

"You just missed him, I don't know where he went." Mary wondered the same thing, but he had said he had business to attend to. She just figured it was Prefect stuff.

"Oh he's doing a class with the first years on Hex's for Professor McCarthy if you want to go, and he offered to help us with silent casting." Mary paused in her thought, "Wait is there a game today?" She never could remember, but she always did try to go to the games for her friends that played. Emma stood up, Mary followed. They'd walk to class together.

Mary nodded a bit meekly at Jaden's request for information about Karen. He knew enough to know that Mary avoided Karen as much as possible, and Mary certainly wasn't going to antagonize Karen. She did however think his story about the troll in the bathroom was hilarious. She hadn't heard about that.

When Tarim showed up Mary offered him a bit of bread, but he was off and gone before she had gotten the bread ready. She didn't notice Jaden's discomfort at the note. "If you will excuse me I have some business to tend to, I will see a little later Mary. Good luck with your classes today, see you at DADA class possibly if you can make it."

"I'll do my best." Mary smiled and waved goodbye. She sat alone for a moment before Emma plopped down next to her.

"Oh Merlin's beard I've been looking for you." Emma spoke excitedly and fast. "I went to the library before breakfast and found this." She held up a thin black book.

"Uh, all right?" Mary looked at her confused.

"It was the only book I could find that actually talked about the rune I found last week, and get this the tiniest mention is almost an afterthought." Emma opened the book to the page. She continued babbling about the rune, until Mad returned from talking to Sylvester.

Kim Judd

Kim had in fact gotten distracted with book after book. She had found a book that she had read in college. She had read the book in English, a translation from the original German, but here she held a German version. Her memory of the work wasn't good enough to be able to try to back translate it, but the few words she did recognize brought back the story. That was as she had been found and reminded that yes she did have somewhere to be. She returned the book to the shelf, just back from the edge, picked up her glass, what was surely mostly water by then, and headed out to join the rest of the party.

For a moment she is a shade overwhelmed by the crowd in front of her. She had never been one for public speaking or large crowds. There was a reason why she had always preferred the quiet stacks of the library, and suddenly she missed the feel and smell of those books. Instead of leaving though she put on a bright smile and joined the party, her heart pounding in her throat.

An offered glass of champagne is exchanged for her water down virgin wine spritzer. Kim sips at it slowly savoring the bubbles and flavor. The palpable tension in the room bothers Kim even more than her own worries. As the music hits her ears she cannot identify it, it is familiar though. Her heart skips a beat when the first violin starts. Her free hand going to her chest, then she smiles, relaxing a moment glancing at the others.
