"I don't know." The Doctor smiled. They were directed to a set of cots. "It's a good shelter. They are well prepared." The Doctor's eyes were taking stock of the boxes that lined the walls. "Not too surprised though." The Doctor sat down on one of the cots. A small boy child sat on a cot across the isle from the one the Doctor took. He was watching the Doctor and Nora with wide eyes.

"Sorry that we're stuck here." The Doctor said with a small sigh. "Did you at least enjoy your hot chocolate?"
"I don't think we'd make it back to the TARDIS." The Doctor turned to face the shop owner. "Is there a shelter near by that we can go to? Our house is too far away for us to make it before the storm hits." The woman nodded at the Doctor.

"You'll find one up the street a bit, on the left. There's a sign on it." The woman pointed the direction they would have to go, it was away from the oncoming storm.

"Thank you." The Doctor said and pulled her own gear back on. "Ready Nora?" When Nora was ready the Doctor lead the way out of the shop and up the street to the shelter. Several people were taking sanctuary there as well.
The Doctor's grin returned. As she cut into the hard outer crust of the 'toast' her expression was reminiscent of a kid in a candy store. "This is why." She said as she turned the plate around to face Nora revealing rectangles of soft bread. The Doctor cut out one of the rectangles and passed it to Nora. "It will taste like french toast." She explained, before she popped one of the bananas into her mouth. "Bananas are great."

They were about halfway through their hot coco and the Doctor appeared to have demolished the 'toast', when a large bell started ringing from the castle. The Doctor looked up at the store keeper. "You'll have to return home,"

"Why?" The Doctor asked the old woman.

"That means a storm is coming." She paused and listened. "It'll be bigger than the last it seems." Outside the window the streets were clearing. The storm was just visible if they stepped outside and looked down the street that they had come up. Ther wasn't enough time to get back to the TARDIS.
True story: That toast is amazing. There's this place called Honey Creek in downtown Mountain View that sells it.
"Time Machine." The Doctor grinned at Nora, without actually giving her a response, before getting a mouthful of the foam floating on the top of the hot coco. Once the Doctor swallowed she said "I am over 900 years old, and my native language is Gallifreyan. I am from the planet Gallifrey, it is gone now, locked away and I can never return there." Anger and sadness filled the Doctor's face for a moment, and then the old woman came over with a plate and 'toast'. She handed the Doctor a fork and knife and a small cup of what appeared to be honey.

"Ah yes, that is a gift from the TARDIS. It's the translation circuit. Written language sometimes takes a bit longer." The Doctor explained taking a seat. "It's a bit complicated to be honest. Sometimes doesn't work, sometimes does. If a language is really old, it can't translate it. The program also doesn't allow for my native language to be translated, as there is supposed to be no need for that."

Behind the counter the woman bustled about making the coco first. She brought the coco over to them with a grin. "Enjoy, let me know if you need anything else." She patted the Doctor gently on the shoulder before heading back to behind the counter to make her toast for her.

The Doctor took a big wiff of the steam rising from the cup. "It's been years since I've had a cup of this coco. She was ten." She gestured to the aged woman. The Doctor was smiling at the memory of the old woman just a child with her hair pulled into pigtails.
"In the city." The Doctor pulled two pairs of goggles out of her coat pocket and handed one to Nora. "To prevent snow blindness." She explained slipping her own pair over her eyes. From there the Doctor, after closing the TARDIS, led the way into the city. It was waking up from the night of snow. Kids were running about yelling and playing. Adults were cleaning up snow. Shops were opening. One of these shops is what the Doctor lead Nora into.

A small woman, no taller than 4'5" was sitting on a stool. "Good morning! Dug yourself out of the snow just fine I see. Quite a storm we had last night. What would ya like?" The shop itself was similar to a cafe Nora would be used to, tables and chairs and a bar. The only difference was as she looked at the writing on the board it seemed to be moving, shifting, before it finally settled and she could read it.

"Two hot cocos please. And toast, that was some heavy work. Would you like anything to eat?" The Doctor asked Nora.
"Yeah, thank you. I appreciate it." She didn't see a point to lead the way, but she reflexively pointed toward the bathroom as she shut the door to the room.

"No, but if there is video of her with the guy who took her, or even whoever she was meeting." Dean slid the laptop over to Sam, he could probably figure out how to hack the camera. "The cops should have looked at it though...and there is no mention in Tessa's file about it." He looked at the file pulling back in front of him flicking through it to verify his thoughts.

((I don't mind))
"Thank you." Karen hung up. She paced. God she hoped this worked. Or what if those Feds were right and they were in danger here...what if something happened to Lucille next? Her only friend left. "Pull yourself together." She told herself as her heart pounded. How was she suppose to get the woman to leave the desk too? This wasn't going to work, but then there was a knock at the door. Karen took a deep breath and answered it.

"Well at least they'll be gone in the morning." Dean sighed sinking into the chair. "I'm going to see what I can find out about the vics online." He opened the laptop wishing one of the computer guru people were still around, maybe they could find security footage... "Sammy, have you seen any cameras?"

"Good luck dear. I see the blonde went toward the vending machines." The woman shifter grinned at her partner. The girls were separated, perfect. The woman shifter went into the back room. She'd have to take the form of shorter of the hunters.
"Birds." Dean sighs exasperated throwing up his hands. The memory of when he could communicate with animals passing through his mind. "Just don't open your door for anyone, even us." He added, just in case it was ghouls or shifters, since both could change their form. That certainly wouldn't be the first time a shifter took his form. Finally Dean left the room.

Once both of them were out of the room Karen sighed. "Alright, we have one night." She looked at Lucille seriously. "Guess we're putting our plan into place." She moved over toward the phone to call the font desk.

~~
"So easy, look." She pointed at the men leaving the girl's room.
