Niah sat down when she was told to by Tinley, a little irritated but she knew how to take an order. She nodded slightly at Barton when he told her he would listen. It was reassuring, she certainly didn't want to get herself into trouble. Then the situation was explained. Trouble was exactly where they were headed. She frowned. Getting into banned technology wasn't something she was particularly excited about, but she needed to follow the postcard and help Sparky.

Standing at Barton's request for more information Niah held up the postcard, the image of San Francisco was aged but clear. "I found this in my room today. On the back, I wrote a date March 5th, 1984. I know I wrote it because of my ability Psychometry. It was written on that day I could tell in the vision I saw due to a nearby newspaper. Goose delivered it to my room, which if you had told me that twenty minutes ago would have sounded nuts to me, but I guess things are weirder than anticipated. I need to go on this mission because I already have. And I want to help Sparky." She smiled at Novikova as she said the last line. It was true even if she didn't know she had to be on the mission she would volunteer forbidden tech or no.

Then she looked down at the postcard. She was going into the past. She had to. Hopefully, they succeed in rescuing Sparky and Raynor as well. What made her nervous was there was no proof she would make it back from the past. This might be a one way trip for her.
I wanted to say congrats for making it over a whole year with this RP! I just noticed that I made it January of 2018

Andy wasn't certain if she completely believed the reassurances of safety, but she nodded and stepped closer to the man. She did have lots of questions. "He said a parent of mine was a god." It sounded nuts, and she had seen plenty of crazy people in the homeless camps. It also wasn't a question. She paused uncertain of which question to ask first. "More new kids are coming? I can wait for a tour for when they get here, then you only have to do it once." She decided to start with that. If she could be in the group she wouldn't stand out, that was a good first step.

A slew of other questions started to try to tumble out of her mouth all at once. "How do you know it is safe? What do you mean by gods? Why is everyone wearing orange? What does Camp Half-blood mean?" The Satyr had answered some of her questions but he had left some information out and been vague about other stuff.

Niah stopped as Barton announced to join in the common room. She frowned, he must have just gotten back. She changed her path and went into the common room. She entered just behind Maria and took her seat. Bonnie was holding Goose who's presence took on a whole different meaning. Niah was tempted to question the "cat" about its motives for putting the postcard in her room. What did the cat know that they didn't? Could the cat even talk? Despite the urge, Niah kept quiet.

She would however when Barton and Tinley enter stand and inform them about said postcard. "Before we begin sir I need to tell you about something." She told Barton and Tinley as they entered. The postcard was in her pocket, so she pulled it out and held it out to them, ready to explain.

"Ah," Niah started. "In that case, mind if we wait for him inside. I'm not particularly used to Australian summer." She wanted this to go smoothly. If they could get inside the house and seem pleasant, maybe get a conversation going they could handle this without hurting anyone. A part of her screamed to warn the girl to run, that she was in danger. She could hear Novikova and Maria whispering, hopefully, the pair of them with whatever Novikova had seen were formulating a plan.

Niah's thoughts cut off as she sensed through the door Runa's movements. She could feel power being gathered and knew that her hands were the cause of that. Her eyes darted to her. "Please miss we mean no harm." A lie, and she knew it. To the group, she said quickly, "She's a magic user."
Kade's job as a teacher and therapist for the kids of his Great-Aunt's school made him want to explain and comfort Alexander, but he could see the irritation growing in his face so he let it drop.

The group followed Katalina and Christopher as they led back behind the castle. The weather shifted again and it was now scorching hot. Any water that had soaked their clothing quickly evaporated and jackets were shed. Wash seemed unaffected by the change, he was aware of it but didn't shed a layer to compensate. He did, however, sip from a canteen at his side, which he offered to Alexander.

Christopher pulled the ladder from the spot they had left it and held it out to Sumi. She didn't look that impressed with the ladder. "Okay, so we need to get across the mote and this will get us to the top?" She asked confused. Sumi looked up at the castle which towered over the ladder, which was maybe six feet tall.

The group chosen was very specific. Niah was worried about Abercrombie as they landed and disembarked. She looked over her shoulder at the woman and then at Cass her friend. Some worry flashed across her face. Something was wrong with the pair of them. Mystique should have chosen those with powers that would have worked best for the mission. She signed and stepped off the jet following orders and the others.

She hoped it wouldn't come to killing. Niah hated that kind of talk since her parents and brother were all humans. She worried about them constantly. At least her sister was mutant like her, which had brought a bit of safety to the family. A warm thought in a cold reality she lived in. Knowing that she didn't particularly want Sapphire or Kingston to talk first that could quickly lead to trouble. Her heart pounded as she spoke up, the cold air around Sapphire chilled her skin.

"Hello, we are looking for Dr. Banner. Is he home?" She hoped the young Banner would say no. It would make the rest of this much easier. She saw the woman standing behind him and knew that had to be his girlfriend, the human. Well, at least both were in the same place. She hoped that whatever information Novikova was gathering would help them. Abercrombie's power would have been very useful at this time. If Novikova hadn't been able to get what needed at least Abercrombie had a chance of mind controlling the two to come willingly.

Niah had taken the comment about Goose being the one to have brought the postcard into her room with surprising ease. She nodded at McCormick's comment about the tentacles. "So Goose is an intelligent creature, not just a normal cat. He dropped the postcard off in my room for a reason. I know I have to go to San Francisco since I'm the one who wrote the date." She paused, not adding that she had written it years before she had even been born, and frowned, "But why San Francisco? I'll go talk to Tinley see if I can get permission to investigate this further."

Since Niah didn't know what Novikova had been trying to accomplish there was no way for her to know the two now had parallel goals. "I'll try her office. She probably has to write a report on everything that just happened. Thank you for your help, Tempest." Niah excused herself, nodded to McCormick and made her way to Tinley's office to get permission to go to San Francisco. How she was supposed to end back on March 5th, 1984 was beyond her though. Time travel was possible, that had been proven, but she didn't have access to that information. It was outside her field that was for certain.

Andy

Location: Edge of Camp Half Blood

Andy paused as the cab drove off. The driver looking very confused as to why these two had asked to be dropped off, in as far as he was concerned, the middle of nowhere. She watched the cab drive off for a moment and then turned to follow the satyr. He had told her that was what he was, had even shown her his hoofed feet. She had a hard time trusting the guy and that had been a wild moment for her. It wasn't that she even trusted him now, she thought as she followed him up the hill, it was more that she had nowhere else to go. Quite literally. Too many homeless camps had kicked her out. You knew you were bottom of the rung of society when the bottom of the rung was chasing you off.

She shook her head and continued up. Her friend led her passed a tree with a literal dragon wrapped around it and something golden shimmering in the branches. Andy gave the tree a wide berth. On the downslope of the hill, there was a man in a wheelchair waiting for them. Her friend waved and ran up to the man speaking to him for a moment gesturing at Andy who hung back nervous. She wasn't excited about this situation suddenly. The place seemed okay. There were some kids messing around in orange shirts. She wondered if they were actually prisoners, but they seemed to be having fun.
Kade put his hand on Alexander's shoulder gently. "Remember when I told you not to eat or drink anything here? Wash here has had food and drink. Sumi was seeing if he had eaten or drank yet. Leaving now..." Kade trailed off, his hand leaving Alexander's shoulder and glanced up at the large castle in the distance. "It would start a war." Lightning flashed across the sky and Kade winced. It felt like a threat. The rain didn't lessen either. It poured down harder.

"Take us to the ladder. Wash you can join as long as possible. I think it'll help to have a local for some of it at least." Sumi said first directing to Katalina and then to Wash. She gave Alexander a sympathetic look. "You'll know when you can't go any farther." She added.
