Bio

...I'm crazy. Got a doctor's note and everything.

Been role playing for over fifteen years, no stranger to forum rp'ing, as that is the way I learned to roleplay.

I don't bite, so don't be afraid to say hi.

I mostly prefer 1x1's, and am on PST. (Hello from the West Coast of the USA.)

If you are interested in rps, really, don't be afraid to say hi!!

Or if you just wanna talk, I'm usually very open.

For those of you still here, have some Pusheen!

Lara was about to tell Arnora that would be nice to Dalisy when the other started being nice to her, but this was not the moment at all to be saying that. Especially when her feet betrayed her a bit and she nearly stumbled as she took the oar from Dalisy and sat down. "Thanks... but I prefer to use my spear when it comes to pushing things out of the way." Thankfully, her trusty spear had been in it's handy travel size when she had nearly gotten lost in the rapids, so she tugged it out from under her shirt, giving them both an accidental glimpse of the ring she normally tried to hide.

With a mutter of the magic word, the small pendant grew in Lara's hands and became her trusty spear, which she immediately swung up to cut down a branch that was about the be a problem for the three of them. "There we go, I can help get rid of obstacles in both the water and the trees this way." She smiled at that as she looked over at Dalisy and then the smile faded.

The other woman had not like Lara since she had arrived at the Hotel, and it still puzzled Lara to this day why Dalisy hated her guts when Lara had barely spoken two words to her. Then there was the other mystery of how friendly Dalisy was with Arnora, when Lara herself was friendly with her, and it did not seem like Dalisy and Arnora had much in common. But well... only Odin knew sometimes why things were the way they were.

"Do my ears deceive me ladies, but are you talking about my niece? What has she done this time?" Marco was well aware that Leandra had no friends in the Praetors after her many vocal objections, but hearing that this time was about budget cuts over the lives of everyone else in the camp made him wince. Marco was aware of what the word priorities meant... and sometimes budgets fell by the wayside when quests came up.

"Well if coffee is what you lovely ladies need, I'll get right on it. Hot cocoa for Madalyne, the usual but on ice for Nancy and the usual for Niah on ice. Got it." Marco put the payment that Nancy gave into the drawer, gave her any needed change before turning away to work a different sort of magic.

He started with the hot cocoa first, as the milk needed to be steamed, so he filled the little silver pitcher and put it under the foamer. Then he started up the triple shots of espresso for Nancy. Thankfully Niah's drink would be the easiest, as he pulled out the milk and the chai concentrate he had made fresh that morning. Two cups full of ice were put off to the side, and one of them got pumps of the delicious caramel syrup, and the paper hot cup got several pumps of the rich chocolate that Marco had fought the budget for at the coffee shop.

After several moments, he was gently serving up the hot cocoa with a generous amount of whipped cream and topped with some cinnamon on it towards Madalyne, Nancy's iced extra caffeinated and extra sweet caramel macciatio towards her, and Niah's iced chai with plenty of spices in it. "There you go ladies. If you want, the corner table has a reserved sign on it you can take off it you want to talk in sort of private."

So, Lara's day in Hotel Valhalla had not started well at all. Then some of the other Einherjar had wanted to go practicing down the rapids. What she had not counted on was the rest of her canoe getting distracted and some of them getting decapitated by the branches. Thankfully she had ducked in time and so, she had missed that, but without the person steering her canoe it soon crashed into the rocks and Lara had kept herself afloat long enough for another to rescue her.

"Hey Arnora, hey Dalisy..." She shivered a bit as she piled into the canoe and double checked herself to make sure she still had her bracelet and necklaces. Thankfully, both were still in place. "As for what happened... my canoe captain decided to look away at the wrong moment and they all lost their heads but me, and then crashed into the rocks. Do you need help defending or rowing, I figure it is the least I can do since you saved me from freezing or smashing into the rocks. Not a fun way to die." She winced a bit at that thought as she pulled the little spear pendant out from under her shirt.

"I'm glad you're doing well then. And Em is right, like she usually is. It isn't really black coffee once you add six shots of creme into it." Marco chuckled a bit at that while looking over at his girlfriend and blowing her a small kiss. "And as for how we're doing, as Em said, she's got some planting she's going to be doing soon, and I'm... ignoring college applications until I figure out if Dad's gonna want me to come and join his company." Marco sighed a bit at that as he looked over at Em for a moment. It was something he had been meaning to talk to Em about, but there had been other things going on.

Marco's attention was drawn away from Alexis and Emily as he noticed the two Praetors enter the coffee shop and smiled at them both as well as waved to Niah. "Hey girls." He stood up straight and walked over to the counter and pulled out the little pad of paper and jotted down Nancy's order.

"Got it, your usual Nancy, and what will you be having, Madalyne, Niah?" He knew Nancy's order by heart by now, since she always ordered the same thing, hot or cold, rain or shine. The only thing that changed was if it was ice or hot.

"Oh the meeting is over then? I guess I should have her usual order ready soon then, huh?" Marco chuckled a bit at that. "I should also put it in a to-go cup because I'm sure our Praetor will be on the move, given if what I'm hearing whispers of are true. Two meetings in one day." He sighed at that as his attention was diverted to the woman entering the shop and he smiled a bit as Alexia walked into the shop.

"Hey Alexia... so one I'll just have a black coffee with six shots of cream and sugar as well for you? Can do." Marco turned over to the coffee carafs and checked them over to find the freshest of their black coffee and went to put in the six shots of cream and one sugar, before adding the bitter dark liquid and stirred it all together for Alexia. He took the payment and put it into the cash drawer full of mixed currency. Most paid in denarius, some in mortal cash, and he did have the rare drachma in his cash drawer due to some old interactions with the Greeks. Not in his life time, but...

"I'm doing well, how are you doing?" He gently pushed the cup of coffee over to her and smiled at that.
