OK, everyone, it took me some time, but I have finally come to a decision.

It's the second time in a row that this RP doesn't swing the way I thought that it would, leaving me with little to nothing to do. I'm not blaming any of you for this, really. If anyone has any fault here it would be me, but let's drop this and get to the meat of this announcement.

The story will be discontinued and put on a hiatus until I can find the time to think things through again.

Again, I'm sorry for this decision.

Farewell.
Mikoto

"Mikoto"

"Leave it to me, Sir Knight, the next time a monster attacks me from surprise, I'll be sure to tell you." Mikoto said to Astrea with a shameless smile splattered over her face and her arms crossed behind her head. "Don't worry, though, this happens way more often than you would expect, hehehe!"

"Anyway, now that I've proved that I'm not just a random nuisance. Will you finally, buy some... Wha!?" Mikoto almost jumped off of her skin when Melissa crept on her from behind without a single warning and had to take a few seconds to calm her heart before saying "Your name is Melissa, right? I know that you're cute and all that, but... you can't creep on people like that. What if my heart was weaker?"

However, once Melissa mentioned that the snake was previously charmed and, furthermore, that it could possibly have been sent to kill Mikoto, the peddler fell into a pensive stance. "So, this means that there's someone out there who wants to kill us peddlers? Hmm... talk about a savage market" she said before fishing a sack full of pet snacks from yet another one of her pockets and throwing one to the snake before petting it head.

"Now that I have a giant pet snake, what should I do with it?" Mikoto wondered, before turning to Astrea and asking "Any ideas, Sir Knight?"

"Anyway, I had this great idea just now and would like to know what you two think. What do you say of us traveling around for the time being? I don't have anything better to do for now, so I think that I'll just follow Sir Knight to wherever he goes... at least until I can make he buy something." Mikoto said, before turning to Melissa and asking her directly "What do you say, Melissa? If you come along I'll even allow you to call me sis. It's not a bad deal, is it?"

Aria

"Aria"

"Ahem... the fault is mine... I think." Aria cleared her throat loudly and righted her posture, trying to ignore the obvious embarrassment that she was feeling. "Anyway, you are right, we should move fast. There's no time for, erm... distractions now."

With that said, Aria gave a step backwards and closed her eyes, concentrating on the flow of mystic energy around her as she pronounced the incantation's words "Wind, grant us wings that can reach the sun. Icarus, Duet!" As soon as she had finished, a powerful gust of wind, engulfed Sedril and Aria, momentarily disarraying their clothes and hair. Once the gust passed, their feet were enveloped in what looked like small wings made of wind, granting them faster movement as well as the ability to jump as high and as graciously that it could said that they were almost able to fly.

"Now, try to not forget the plan, and don't worry... we will get out of this one, I know you can do it." Aria said as she moved past Sedril and lightly patted his shoulder, before stopping just a few feet away from him and turning her head to look at him over her shoulder while moving a strand of disheveled hair behind her ear.

"Come to think of it, we never introduced ourselves, right?" Aria gave Sedril a warm smile before continuing, "Arianna Weiss, but you can call me Aria. Once we finish here, what do you say about we go back to that tavern and talk about something more interesting?"

Once Aria said what she had to, she waited a few seconds for Sedril's answer, before saying "Now then, we will see each other later..." and dashing away to the church's tower with the speed of the wind.

Kurenai & Momo

"Kurenai" & "Momo"

"So that is it, huh?" Kurenai said when she noticed Ruxen's state. "If you can not answer because of these chains, I'll have to take them out of the way." With that said, the stoic swordswoman drew one of her blades, even as her companion tried to object.

"Are you really sure this is something intelligent, Kurenai? She looks scared, what will happen if she attacks us?" Momo said apprehensively after she noticed that Ruxen could distinguish her otherworldly nature. Indeed, it looked like the beastgirl was suffering and that was all the more reason to be wary of her once she was freed.

"If this happen, I'll knock her out. I don't want to kill someone that might be a victim as well." Kurenai said as she took a step closer to Ruxen, though, right about the same time the living chains came out of the floor and wrapped themselves tightly around her body holding Kurenai in a very compromising way. "What's is this, a trap? Wasn't that your job to take care of them, Momo?" Kurenai said as she closed her eyes and clenched her teeth, feeling the chain embrace crush her, like a giant constrictor snake.

"Well, you know, Kurenai... I could have warned you, or deactivated the trap beforehand, but..." Momo said as she gazed at the bound Kurenai with flushed cheeks and a ragged breath "Just imagining the sight of you bound and gagged was so exciting that I kind of forgot about it."

And then, to further spite Kurenai, Momo stuck her tongue out and chuckled, a childsish teehee, before saying "My bad, I'll fix it now." After saying so, the ghost girl disappeared within the floor and went to search for the trap's source, in order to deactivate it, like she was supposed to do.

Meanwhile, Kurenai had finally succeeded in getting a hold of a length of the chains with her artificial arm and, with a inhumanly strong twist, snapped it. As she fell to the floor coughing and tried to get back to her feet Kurenai coldly said "I swear that if you weren't dead already I would kill you for this" to her Momo, who no doubt was listening and chuckling, right now.

After that, Kurenai hurried to Ruxen's side and cut down the chains that were binding her, before removing the muzzle from her mouth. "Now that you are free, answer me. Who are you and what do you know about what lays deep within these ruins?" She waited for Ruxen's reply, while fending off some more of the chains.

@Caits

Hi there!

Sorry for the delay. I'll probably continue (and actually set it to be finished, because of the time skip) our character's discussion sometime between today and tomorrow, it'll depend mostly on how much I'll have to work today.

See ya!
@TheWindel

If you say so. It's not like I would post today, anyway.
@Spriggs27

I'm waiting for Sayaka's action, to post with Addie, not Izumi's. But, if nothing happens until tomorrow's yesterday night, I'll just content myself with breaking some noses as Itsuko and have Kaede do her things as well.
I'llbee doing a new post soon. I'm just waiting for @Spriggs27 to do something, so that I don't have to leave Addie-san behind again.

In any case, if I finish writting the post for Itsuko adKaede before he does, I'll post one way or another.
@Lucius Cypher

We can do such a collab, yes. Though, we should give just a bit more of time to see what others will do first.
@KoL

BMG.

I see what you did there.

Oops!, my bad, I got correct that.
Gosh, what an humongous post...

Anyway, the next part is here, guys. Originally, I was going to post this only around Saturday, but given the extended silence, I think that the best time is now, before we lose momentum.

Chapter 00 - House of Cards

-5-

Having overcome their first trial, it's time for a fated meeting between the magical girls. However, this momentary reprieve was bound to not last.

As the main foe finally reveals its identity, a new and unexpected threat appears. To whose side will the scales of fortune sway now?

Magical Justice

"Justice"

Justice was perched atop the roof, waiting for her companions' arrival while assessing the situation around the school with her 'Fragarachs', actually, all of the other magical girls would notice one such crystal sword floating harmlessly besides them, while the exact same amount of copies of them circled Justice, revolving slowly, as of yet were on a blade ballet. In Irish mythology, Fragarach was a sword owned by a great many deal of legendary heroes and, once under its blade none move and the only thing one could say was the utmost truth. Indeed it was easy to why Justice had named spell like this, even though it still concealed the fact that she did it mainly just because Fragarach is such a cool sounding word.

"Hey girls, I guess that you should hurry, 'cause the guest o' honor is just about to make it's grand entrance." Justice said to the other magical girls, through the host of swords.

•••

As if on cue with Justice's declaration, the baseball field shook violently one last time, before one rambling blond girl walked to the pitcher's mound, holding one of the Inverse Arcanas in her hand. Even from this far, the magical girls could feel which card was it, VII - The Chariot. It was more like the card was wielding the girl than the contrary, when she threw it in the air and, with a bloodcurdling scream, the card fused itself with her, thereby assuming a much more monstrous form.

For the the time being, both halves of The Chariot stood still on middle of the diamond, looking around with dazed eyes, as if she was recovering from a sudden shock, no doubt one of the side-effects of the forceful transformation. However, this 'summoning sickness' wouldn't last forever, and if the girls didn't used this which was probably their best chance to end the combat quickly, they could count on being in for an arduous skirmish.

Meanwhile, on the roof next to Chikage...

"Would you care to stop, please?" Said an over polite voice coming from Chikage's literal left field, away from the sight line of the others, for the time being. If the magical girl turned to gaze at the newcomer, she would meet the figure of a gentle looking woman sporting a curious cat tail.

"I would prefer to not use violence if possible, for my mistress abhors such crude methods. Thus I am obliged to ask if you will surrender the cards that you have captured earlier peacefully. If not, I fear that I must do it 'the hard way' as youth of today would say."

After her long winded monologue, the cat woman stood on the same place that she appeared in. As she waited for Chikage's reply, the woman gave her a gaze that was at the same time gentle and terrifying, almost as if she was a mother waiting for a disobedient child's answer.

At the same time, on the hallway, next to Reiko...

At first it was a single bell, another strange sound on this night of delusions. However, the jiggling sound didn't stopped until it was just about to make the turn right into the same hallway in which Reiko stood.

Seconds later, a young girl's voice declared in a dispassionate tone, "What a cruel twist of Fate that we are to meet on this night... If you, bearers of the cursed powers, were to overcome your sins, perhaps salvation could still be found for you."

The owner of the voice happened to be a short girl who looked like she was about the same age as Reiko, perhaps a bit younger. She was dressed in what could be best described as the dignified robes of messenger of God an held a golden staff which crested with many metal rings, obviously the source of the earlier jiggling sound.

"Now, I ask, will you repent and give back that which doesn't belong to you, in order to be bestowed with God's indulgence?" The girl asked, gesturing to the cards that Reiko had captured, before silence fell between as the girl waited for Reiko's reply.
