If I use the character I'm thinking of, she would be a young woman barely out of her Masters Degree, so... 25 - 27 is the age range. As for what kind of Philosophy, I think I'd go with my favorite, Existentialism (specially Nietzsche), but with a good dash of other Western schools as well.
